Scotch (スコッチ Sukotchi) was a deceased undercover agent from the Secret Police. He was killed while infiltrating the Black Organization.
Contents
Background
Scotch was an undercover member of the Secret Police inside the organization. Not much has been revealed about his past and his time inside the organization, although he was acquainted with Rei Furuya (another undercover agent from the Secret Police) as well as Shuichi Akai (an undercover FBI agent using the alias Dai Moroboshi). Scotch was killed before his real name was revealed to the other organization members.
Plot overview
Scarlet Epilogue (Manga: 898, Anime: 783)
Scotch was first mentioned in Manga file 898. During Bourbon and Vermouth's conversation, she mentions a male infiltrator from the Secret Police who had been killed before they could figure out his name. Bourbon tells her that his code name was "Scotch".

Speculation
It is speculated that Scotch was someone close to his fellow Secret Police agent Rei Furuya (Bourbon), and Shuichi Akai might have been responsible for the former's death, resulting in Furuya's deep grudge against Akai.
- Scotch was mentioned by Vermouth as a male agent, which fits Akai's words that he told Bourbon in file 897: "Also, about him, I regret what happened, even now..."[1]
- When Bourbon reminds Vermouth of Scotch's code name, he shows a mysterious expression, which somewhat resembles a sorrowful look.
- When Akai mentions to Jodie and Camel about Bourbon's hatred for him, he recalls a scene when he and Bourbon were standing together, with blood splatters on their clothes, hinting at a sanguinary incident.[2] Additionally, when Camel asks Akai why there isn't any Scotch Whiskey in the house, despite the fact that he likes both Bourbon and Scotch, Akai answers that he only drinks Bourbon lately.[3] This is possibly an indication that Akai's aware of Scotch's demise. It may also hints that he, for some reasons, feels uneasy about it, thus stopped drinking Scotch.
