The anime production staff often remaster or rerun older episodes instead of airing new ones. This page contains the list of rerun and remastered episodes in chronological order of the episode number.

Shinichi Kudo uncovers a murderer along with the police at a party. Later, Shinichi and Ran Mouri take a trip together to an amusement park, where a man is murdered during a roller coaster ride. Shinichi deduces that the people in front and behind the victim are the suspects. Shortly investigating the scene, he reveals the murderer to be the man's ex-girlfriend. After the case Shinichi spots two suspicious black-clothed men. He decides to follow them and witnesses a deal taking place but is attacked from behind. The two men, intending to kill him, force him to swallow newly developed poison. Most of the main characters are introduced. First appearance of Shinichi Kudo, Ran Mouri, Kogoro Mouri, Juzo Megure, Gin, Vodka, Ayumi Yoshida, Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya, Genta Kojima, and Hiroshi Agasa. Shinichi turns back into a 7 year old boy after being poisoned. As Shinichi parts from Ran at an amusement park to check on some suspicious activities, Ran feels like she's seeing Shinichi for the last time (which will happen to have been somewhat of a premonition). The men in black poison Shinichi after he is discovered spying on them. Shinichi and Ran are presented as childhood friends and are shown to share a strong bond. Many other important facts about the characters are revealed (such as Shinichi's usual involvement in the police affairs).

Shinichi wakes up as a young child due to the effect of the poison. After running into Professor Agasa he decides he must hide his identity or those men in black will come back to finish off those connected to him. Shinichi renamed "Conan Edogawa" is placed in the care of Ran and her father, Kogoro Mouri who owns a detective agency which may allow him to gather information on the men in black. Kogoro receives a case to find a man's kidnapped daughter, Akiko. Conan drops subtle hints for Kogoro to solve the case revealing Asao, the butler, to have kidnapped Akiko. A phone call reveals Akiko has been kidnapped again. Conan follows the clues from the phone call and is able to locate her. After arresting the kidnapper, Akiko reveals she asked Asao to fake a kidnapping in an attempt to get her father away from work to spend time with her. The father asks Asao to arrange a vacation for him and Akiko. Kogoro, happy to have solved a difficult case, allows Conan to stay. First appearance of Conan Edogawa. Shinichi moves to Ran's place and calls himself Conan Edogawa.

After a day at the museum, the Conan and his friends find a piece of paper with symbols and the word "Oro" written on it. Conan believes that it is a treasure map after he discovers "Oro" means gold in Italian. Following clues, they find gold coins hanging from the ceiling of an abandoned building, but they interrupted by a gang from the Italian mafia. With Conan's quick thinking, they are able to capture the men. Later, Ayumi gives Conan a kiss, thanking him for saving them as Mitsuhiko and Genta stare jealously. Creation of the Detective Boys.
5	5	The Shinkansen's Bomb Case (Remastered)	December 3, 2016			V4 - F4~6/F33~35	Black handbag
Conan runs into the two men in black from before on the Shinkansen bullet train. Upon investigating, he finds out they only resemble the two men. Using his new glasses and a bug, Conan overhears their conversation about a bomb in a black suitcase on board. Conan is able to narrow down the location of the suitcase leaving four suspects. He is able to figure out who has the bomb at the last moment and with his Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes invented by Agasa, Conan manages to kick it off the train just in time. Agasa invents the Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes and updates his glasses with a Microphone and listening device.

There are rumors that a mysterious ghost knight is roaming the local art museum, and Ran wants to check it out. When they go to check out the 'Hell' exhibit, they find Manaka, the manager of the museum, has been stabbed to death by the ghost knight. The clues seem to point to one person being the criminal, but Conan isn't convinced.

Conan, Ran, and Kogoro attend a festival when Satoru Imatake, a famous writer, is murdered. Conan is certain that it was Norikazu Sasai, the murdered writer's partner but Sasai has a perfect alibi provided by photographs, including some taken by Ran. Did Sasai really commit murder? First appearance of Sango Yokomizo.
10	10	Pro Soccer Player Blackmail Case (Remastered)	October 9, 2010			V7 - F8 ~ V8 - F1	Hideo Akagi
The Detective Boys talk about the Sunday Cup, a soccer tournament. They mention Uemura Naoki and Akagi Hideo of the Tokyo Spirits. Afterwards, Conan returns to the Mouri Detective agency to find a girl named Akagi Ryoko waiting in front. She asks Mouri to find Kudo Shinichi, saying that she was his girlfriend. Ran gets jealous and angry and decided to go to her house, but Conan notices some strange things and realizes that there was a kidnapping of Mamoru Akagi, Hideo Akagi's little brother. The kidnapper is later revealed to be Uemura Naoki, a fellow soccer player of Hide's. He kidnapped Mamoru because he believed that Hide injured his leg on purpose to stop him from surpassing him. After the solution, Ran calls Shinichi's cell phone, which he gave to Ryoko before, and chases Conan to an alley where she confronts him about Ryoko. At that moment Agasa drives up in his yellow beetle. Conan replies with word that somewhat suggest feelings for her and he hides in Agasa's car, escaping Ran sucessfully. First appearance of Hideo Akagi and Naoki Uemura. Agasa invents the Portable Bento Box Fax.
11	11-12	Moonlight Sonata Murder Case (1 Hour Special) (Rerun)	September 22, 2003			V7 - F2~7	Fluorescent paint
Kogoro receives a letter with a large sum of money from Keiji Asoh requesting that he investigate Moonlight Island. On the island, they discover that Keiji was a famous pianist and has been dead for twelve years. They believe the client wanted them to investigate Keiji and so they decide to question the Mayor. They learn that Keiji's piano is in the community hall and that the previous mayor was discovered dead with the song Moonlight Sonata playing in the background and that Moonlight Sonata was the same song Keiji played on his piano during the fire that killed him. During the funeral for the previous mayor, Moonlight Sonata is heard from the piano room and they find another man murdered there. Conan interprets the letter as indicating that the murders are just starting. Conan and the others spend the night near the piano along with Dr. Narumi Asai. The police interrogate everyone the next day who were at the funeral but another man is murdered. Music notes left by the killer reveal that whoever the murderer is is avenging Keiji Asoh.

While playing hide-and-seek in the park, Ayumi Yoshida hides herself in the trunk of a car and falls asleep. When she wakes, the car has already left the park, and Ayumi finds herself with a head of a girl wrapped in newspapers. Conan uses the new radio transmitters the Detective Boys received from Professor Agasa to get clues and find where the car is heading. They boys finally catch up to rescue Ayumi, but not before they find out the girl's head was prop for a play. Having knocked out one of the actors, Conan and his friends must take over his part. Agasa invents the Detective Boys Badges and Turbo Engine Skateboard.

An antique collector, Denjiro Maru, asks Kogoro to investigate his wife's affair, but he is later found murdered. The crime scene is shredded by a sword and fake clues point to different people that had scheduled a meeting with the collector.

The Detective Boys are accidentally locked inside a department store after hours when returning to retrieve Genta's Kamen Yaiba autograph. That night, thieves try to rob the store. They are soon found out and with clever strategies, the Detective Boys are able to apprehend the robbers.

Ran and Shinichi's old homeroom teacher, Sayuri Matsumoto, is getting married, but before the wedding even starts, the bride is poisoned when she drinks her canned juice. Several suspects are caught on video including Sayuri's father, Kiyonaga Matsumoto and Toshihiko Takasugi, the groom. The fingerprint analysis show that some prints are missing from the can. Conan, using Sonoko Suzuki, reveals the culprit to be Toshihiko. Toshihiko reveals that Kiyonaga was the indirect cause of his mother's death. Sayuri's friend proclaims to Toshihiko, Sayuri knew about his past with her father but she married him anyways because he was her childhood love. Toshihiko becomes enveloped in guilt but a message from the hospital reveals Sayuri's surgery to be a success, leaving Toshihiko to cry with happiness. Toshihiko is sent to prison for three years after which he marries Sayuri. First appearance of Kiyonaga Matsumoto.

Yoko Okino is starring in a television drama and she invites Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to watch the filming but a cameraman is murdered at the shrine the filming is taking place at! The cameraman left behind a dying message in blood. Can Conan decipher it and reveal who the true killer is? First appearance of Wataru Takagi.

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan miss their boat home from a vacation and are lucky to hitch a ride with the rich Hatamoto family on a private ship. The head of the Hatamoto family, Gozo is murdered, and the evidence all points to Takeshi whose father committed suicide when his company was taken over by the Hatamoto family. Takeshi is forced into a locked cabin for suspicion of murder. Everyone in the family is interested in the Hatamoto inheritance but are shocked to find that a will was made and the inheritance was signed to Natsue, the Head's granddaughter. Later a Hatamoto family member, Tatsuo, is found dead and Takeshi is missing from the storage room. First appearance of Natsue Hatamoto, Takeshi Hatamoto, and Joji Hatamoto.

Conan finds the crime scene of Gozo strange and believes that Takeshi is being framed. The boat's power is suddenly switched off and Ichiro, a grandson of Joseph, is stabbed in the dark. Everyone is suspicious of one another and accusations are thrown around. After looking in each of the rooms searching for Takeshi, Conan finds the evidence to prove Takeshi's innocence and the culprit guilty. Conan uses Kogoro and proves Ichiro is the murderer and that his motive was because he was in love with Natsue, who became engaged to Takeshi. Ichiro revealed Gozo rejected his proposal for marriage with Natsue and humiliated him. After learning of Takeshi's past, Ichiro murdered Joseph and framed Takeshi In the end, Takeshi talks to Natsue and tells her he planned to avenge his father but fell in love with her and gave up on revenge.

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are out walking when a robbery occurs. Conan and Kogoro are able to take down the robber and hand him to the police. A crowd gathered to watch the scene and Kogoro's friend, Yumi recognizes him. After talking about the judo class reunion that is to take place that day, she leaves. While turning back, Conan and Kogoro realize the gun the robber had is missing. That night at the reunion, they plan to go out and watch fireworks. Kogoro's friends did not go leaving only Conan, Kogoro, and Ran. Yumi is missing from dinner so the judo members go to her room to wake her up from her sleep. There, they find her dead from a gunshot wound to the head and in her hand was the missing gun from before. Kogoro realizes that burn marks are missing from Yumi's temple meaning that it was a murder and one of the judo members is the suspect. First appearance of Jun Omura. Kogoro meets with his old friends.

Conan recognizes two things strange about Yumi's body; the finger was not on the trigger and she was naked under her robe. Conan then realizes who the murderer is and plans to tranquilize Kogoro to solve the case. Realizing how determined Kogoro is on solving the case, Conan instead decides to drop subtle hints and let Kogoro solve the case. Kogoro solves the case, revealing that Yumi died much earlier and that exercise from table tennis caused her body to undergo rigor mortis much earlier. He reveals that the judo member who murdered Yumi was Kazushi Nakamichi. Nakamichi revealed that he was dating Yumi for eighteen years and he proposed to her multiple time but she always turned him down. When he became engaged to another woman, Yumi terrorized them both with threats. He revealed that he picked up the gun from the robbery earlier, seeing it as a sign to murder Yumi. Kogoro meets with his old friends.

Kogoro is invited to a talk show, but there is news that the TV producer was murdered. Conan is certain that one of the talk show hosts killed the TV producer, but it was impossible for him to shoot the producer during the show. Conan discovers the host shot him from above would give him enough time to come back during the break thus breaking the alibi.

A woman comes to Kogoro's Mouri Detective Agency asking for help looking for a man. She says she is looking for him to start a relationship since she was dumped by her old boyfriend, but Conan is unsure about what she really wants with the man. Conan trails her to discover her old boyfriend died in a car accident caused by the man and she has been plotting to murder him. Kogoro Mouri and Conan reach the woman on time to prevent the murder.

Kogoro is asked to trail a man for three days, but the man is found murdered at the Akaoni Village Fire Festival the next day. The main suspect, the man who ordered Kogoro to trail the victim, gains over five billion yen of life insurance money, and since he was on a trip for three days, he has a perfect alibi. With clues from the photos taken by Kogoro and the suspect, Conan is able to determine that the victim died before the suspect's trip and the man who Kogoro was following was a man disguised as the victim.

A pop idol is poisoned after singing his hit song, 'Bloody Venus.' When tests come back negative on everything, it seems that the victim committed suicide. Conan is confident that this is not the case, and uses his own (Shinichi's) voice to solve the murder. At the end Shinichi "shows" himself to Ran in the dark and leaves her a gift before disappearing.

Sadly the next day, the headmaster is murdered and they are four suspects: Kannen, Mokunen, Tonnen and Shunen. The same thing happened 2 years ago; a student was murdered. Agasa invents the Button Speaker.

Conan, Kogoro and Ran goes to a meeting where fans of Sherlock Holmes are there. There, they meet Heiji, who was hoping that Shinichi would be there. Things go bad when the host is put to sleep and put in a car which drives off a cliff, killing him. A member found out who did it, but she got killed when she was in another car that burst into flames. Heiji then got very suspicious of Conan's true identity as Shinichi, but when he tries to confront Conan, a blackout occurs and another member is injured by the killer, with a knife to the back. Who did this?

Conan and Heiji was able to solve the case, and fearing of his identity, Conan use Heiji instead of Kogoro to solve the case. The killer turned out to be the boyfriend of the second victim, and she was able to find out he did it because she decided to cheat off his Holmes test, but when she saw his test, it was blank, because he knew it would never be graded and he was busy preparing for the killing of the host. The killer did it because the third victim was the publisher of a Holmes book he didn't like, so he did this for Holmes. And after Heiji woke up, he reveals that he was spying on Conan the whole time during the deduction, so he now knows the truth about Conan, and he spills the beans. Heiji figures out that Conan is Shinichi.

Ran fights him off but doesn't land a hit, which makes her believe she knows who is in the Night Baron costume. Can Conan solve this case even if the wind is a factor?

Kogoro is playing Mahjong when they called a Loan Company President to play with them. When they find him in his office, he has died from cyanide poisoning. The suspects are three of his employees. The poison was only found on the victim's thumb, money, and door handle, but no where else in the office. Conan solves the mystery, showing how cyanide was erased with Bleach. The culprit explains how it was for revenge for putting the person's loved one in such a great debt.

After bowling, Ran, Sonoko, and Conan head to the bank to check in a cheque. While there, an armed bank robbing happens. After some struggle, one man is shot by the robber but survives. After being shot, another man struggles with the robber and ends up shooting and killing the robber. It all seems normal but Conan finds it strange. After figuring out the robber had an accomplice, Conan, using Sonoko, reveals the robber's accomplice. He reveals the two planned to use the money to pay off their debts and make some cash.

While at a painting exhibit, Conan notices a man in rag examining a picture. The next day while playing baseball with his friends, he notices the man again. After being asked about his drawings of a home, the man realizes he has been drawing unconsciously, and holds his head in pain. In the hospital, he was revealed to have been affected by amnesia and the pain was his returning memories. The man leaves the hospital. The next day while playing baseball, Genta finds the man dead. Conan finds out the man is an artist who's been missing for a year. His wife is the only one who can identify the body but she proclaims it's not him. Conan proves that the man was the artist by fingerprints he left behind when he came home after regaining his memories. Conan shows them who the murderer was.

A famous singer from the band Two-Mix is kidnapped and they demand the Detective Boys to deliver the bag belonging to the singer. Agasa invents the Earring Cellphone.

Conan meets up with the kidnappers and just when he was about to defeat them, the Detective Boys arrive and are captured. The kidnappers leave and then set the room on fire. While at the concert, the Detective Boys accidentally start the music too early, and if stopped it will anger the crowd even more. Conan tries to sing but that angers the crowd. The singer then takes the Detective Boys out with her to sing.

At the house, the old man's daughter and son rush into the room demanding the reason why the old man is donating his life savings to the city. The group is allowed to soak in the hot spring near the house, but they are called to the house when they find out the old man has been murdered. The old man's son confesses that he's the murderer, but Conan proves that he's not. Using Kogoro, Conan announces the old man's brother to be the killer who set up a spring loaded crossbow and fired it at the same time as the son.

Conan is forced by Ran to travel with another officer to go to their hotel but due to an emergency, they are driven to the site where Numabuchi, a mass murder and also a suspect, is thought to be hiding. After Conan finds him, he realizes Numabuchi and Gouji are not the murderer. Heiji also realizes this and both figure out Sakada, the tour guide police, is the murderer. Mitsuhiko's smart for his age deduction skills are put to the test when even Conan goes missing. Ayumi kisses Mitsuhiko for hurting him with the joke.

Conan and Heiji work together for the big reveal of the murderer's ingenuous method. Robert is the murderer, driven by rage and hatred towards those who didn't stop the girl he loved from committing suicide. However, he eventually realised that his leaving message was what triggered his beloved's death. Ran and Kazuha become close friends, both even poking fun at each other for having crime loving boyfriends. Heiji jokingly says that Kazuha and him can sleep close to each other at night if they get lost. Kazuha thinks about this, and gets very embarrassed. When Kazuha is attacked by the killer, Heiji is the first person to run up to her before anyone else, trying his best to save her.

On the way from school, Conan and Ai Haibara by chance find Gin's car on the street and decide to investigate. Conan places a tracker in their car. Haibara spots Gin and Vodka across the street on their way back to their car. Conan and Haibara quickly get out the car and hide outside while they leave. Conan keeps track of what their doing through his special glasses, however, Gin eventually catches on to the tracker and destroys it as well as learns that Sherry is still alive. They are eventually led to a movie director's party at the Haido City Hotel where a chandelier falls on someone (Mr. Nomiguchi) while in the dark, thus, ending the episode with who's responsible for the murder. In continuance from the last episode, everyone is wondering how the chandelier fell in the first place. Conan knows it's Pisco of the Black Organization, but the police are stumped. When Inspector Megure can't hold anyone anymore, everyone at the party flees toward the doorway. In the mix of all the commotion, Haibara is kidnapped by someone and confined to a wine cellar somewhere in the Haido Hotel. Conan tells her to drink some sake that will temporary turn her back to an adult to help her escape. Will Haibara be able to escape the clutches of Gin and Vodka? In the conclusion of Conan and Ai's encounter with the Black Organization, Ai is trapped in a building with Gin and Vodka after she is kidnapped by them (previous episode). Now she must try to escape (Ai is in her adult form temporarily), but it won't be easy. She makes her way to the roof only to encounter Gin and Vodka who both shoot her down and almost kill her until Conan arrives on the scene. He uses his special bow tie to sound like an older person who distracts them, as well as shoots Gin with a needle, while she jumps down the chimney and barely escapes death. Gin shoots himself in the arm to keep himself awake while Vodka attempts to shoot Conan, but he escapes. Conan and Ai eventually encounter Pisco back inside, but due to an accidental fire, the two get away before Pisco kills them. Gin and Vodka arrive and Gin kills Pisco without hesitation for failing to finish the job. Near the end of the episode, a new female member named Vermouth discusses the dilemma with Gin and Vodka. Introduction of Pisco, Naomichi Mugikura, and Vermouth, the latter becoming a VERY important character a few years later in the series. Conan and Ai suspect that a Black Organization member, Pisco, is going to be at a hotel to plan a murder. Haibara takes the alcohol to turn her back into her adult form, Shiho Miyano. Gin shoots Shiho, who is saved at the last moment by Conan. Gin kills Pisco, and Vermouth is shown at the end, discussing the situation with both Gin and Vodka. Haibara's past is once again explored, and it is hinted that she has some sort of history with Gin, who takes very special interest in finding her. Gin once again takes very special interest in Shiho.

People who have owned his mask have suffered tragic fates. Shou who now owns all 200 masks has a priest place a seal on the curse, but the room will locked at midnight to prevent them from wandering. During their stay, Shou was murdered in a locked room with masks surrounding her and a dagger in her throat. Conan later figures out the trick and reveals the culprit. The culprit reveals that his mother was blamed for a hit and run incident and murdered by Shou, who then took fame and profit from her charity.

The festival is brought to a disastrous end when one of the winners is found dead hanging down the waterfall. Conan and Heiji investigate the area and history of Mermaids Grave, a forest on mermaid island. They learn that an elder who is over 130 years old is a holder of the arrow and the head of the festival. While investigating two more murders occur. Conan reveals to Heiji he knows who the murderer is and to meet him later, but later he and Kazuha fall off a cliff. Conan reveals that the murderer is the elder. He reveals that the elder were people who dressed up as her to continue the story of the arrow. Heiji and Kazuha arrive at the house in time to confirm the story. The culprit reveals that her mother was the previous elder who were killed by the three victims. She continued the elder story for her mother, but finds out the whole town knew she was the elder and that her mother was the mermaid's corpse. All the town people bow their heads and apologize for not telling her sooner as she cries due to her guilt. While looking in the past visitor registry, Conan finds the name "Shiho Miyano" but he doubts that this was Haibara. Kazuha gets embarrassed when the subject of her feelings for Heiji comes up during her conversation with Ran. Heiji and Kazuha are found stuck on a cliff, and Kazuha is barely hanging on to Heiji to survive! Kazuha takes the arrow that she won in the contest, and stabs Heiji with it, hoping that he'll let go of her so that she can fall off, saying "I pass my long life onto you." However, Heiji refuses to let go, even when the gash gets incredibly bloody. He helps her back up, and helps her to the elder's hut, promising that he will never let anyone hurt her while he is with her.

When leaving, it is raining, and Shinichi and Ran walk together, when Shinichi checks an abandoned warehouse when he hears a suspicious man is in there. While Ran waits outside, she meets up with Shuichi Akai, who at that point had long hair, and was wearing an FBI jacket. He warns her to leave, but she stays, waiting for Shinichi. After Akai leaves, Ran confronts the serial killer! He decides to kill her. After the killer accidentally falls off of a stairwell, Ran grabs his hand, which astonishes the killer. Shinichi then comes to the rescue! After Shinichi explains his and Ran's noble reasons for ever saying someone, the killer silently vows to leave them alone, while Shinichi carries an exhausted Ran off. Akai and the FBI kill the serial killer just a short while later. Ran wakes up, recounting that this was when she finally fully fell in love with Shinichi. Ran accidentally saves Vermouth and the viewers come to realize that Akai is a FBI agent. Shinichi is very worried about Ran when she gets caught in an accident. Ran mentions this case was when she finally fell in love with Shinichi. Ran encounters Shuichi Akai, who is trying to locate the serial killer. Ran dreams about her times in New York.

Akai immediately recognizes Ran from the New York case, wondering why whenever he sees her, she is crying. Later, Conan heads to Agasa's home to see the floppy, which seems like a normal diary at first. However, after highlighting suspiciously blank portions of the floppy, Conan and Agasa discover that the man indeed has ties to the Black Organizatiopn. Agasa and Conan both head to the man's house in Gunma to investigate, and discover that it is bugged in numerous places. Vodka calls the house, leaving a message asking for the program that the man was making, and decides to come out prompty. Conan is able to convince him to meet him at a certain place in a few hours, to deliver the program. Agasa and Conan escape, but their tire is flat, and they are picked up by two people in a fancy car. Conan suspiciously notices that the driver has no idea how to operate the car. The car is stopped by a road block set up by Detective Yamamura who says that he is looking for two bank robbers and kidnappers, whom he shot in a case a few hours before. Conan finally realizes who the people are. After more driving, Conan confronts the two criminals. The criminals try to escape, but Conan is able to capture them in time. He then boldly tries to meet with Gin and Vodka at the place, and hides in a locker, placing a tracker on Vodka's shoe. Gin discovers this, and prompty destroys it. Conan passes out in the locker, only to be woken up by Haibara later that morning. Conan obtains Agasa's newest invention: the Anywhere Ball Dispensing Belt. Conan discovers a link between Suguru Itakura and the Black Organization. While investigating Itakura's house in Gunma, Conan and Agasa are surprised by a phone call from Vodka, asking for Itakura's program. Conan uses Itakura's voice to arrange a meeting with him. He then tries to trick Vodka into leaving his fingerprints, but the trap is discovered by Gin, who tells Vodka that the cunning fox who set this up must be nearby. Both of them search for him without success, and Gin begins to open lockers, stopping at the one Conan was hiding in, because "there's no way an adult could fit inside".

The Detective Boys are on a camping trip accompanied by Ran. Later they witness an arguing couple who then leaves. They then set up the tent in the couple's area. Later, the couple returns demanding their place back and the girlfriend decides to let them have it. Later Ran is drugged and kidnapped. The kidnapper is later found in another car in a road accident. Conan reveals the boyfriend hired the kidnapper to murder his girlfriend, but captured Ran instead because of their tent placement. After examining some clues, he realizes that Ran is in a river and that the it will flood at 3o'clock. After saving Ran, everyone becomes exhausted except for Ran who has just woken up from her nap.

They show the stone lantern to Conan who determines that it is a code to finding a large diamond. The lantern is also hiding another secret...a dead body at the bottom of the pond. After searching the body they find out that he was a treasure hunter who was straggled to death by another person looking for the treasure. They also find a tear-shaped stone with the kanji "inflammation" written on it and a notebook. The notebook suggests that he was murdered by his partner and that Kaitou Kid is also seeking the treasure. Professor Agasa goes back to camp to call the police. Conan, Haibara, and Agasa deduce the Black Organization's boss' phone number and discuss whether to call it or involve the police. They decide to do neither. Kaitou Kid is suspected to be there.

As they continue to search the house they meet another treasure hunter, and end up falling down a trap door into the basement. Luckily they are saved by Conan's supersized soccerball. In the basement they find Kichiemon's grave, a bunch of human remains, and an old lady. The first treasure hunter reveals grudgingly that he found the mirror artifact and Conan reveals the tear-shaped stone. They continue looking for the sword, which is the last piece of the puzzle. Kid is mentioned again.

The old lady nearly gets chopped up by four swinging blades when she steps on a trap. Conan realizes that if one stands in the right spot the blades will not harm you and that one of the blades actually has a handle allowing him to swing over towards the sword. The sword contains the last clue, which leads everyone back to the pond. Mitsuhiko accidentally discovers that the diamond is at the bottom of the pond. The first treasure hunter dives in after it while the second pulls a gun planning to kill everyone and take the diamond for herself. Conan is able to tranquilizer her, but when the treasure hunter comes back up with the diamond the spring starts to pour into the pond causing a massive flood. The only way to stop the flood is to put the diamond back. The old lady turns out to be Kaitou Kid who knew all along that the diamond was unable to be stolen, and Conan allows him to escape on his hang-glider. Kaitou Kid appears and the Detective Boys see him.

Conan suspects that Kaitou Kid is one of the three newly hired workers of Jirokichi. Jirokichi however countinues to proclaim it to be the work of an imposter, causing Conan to suspect Jirokichi's behavior. Kaitou Kid goes after Suzuki's safe.

Shortly after, an unconscious Jirokichi is found tied up and his room and a note of Kaitou Kid is found on the safe. This causes the whole police force that are guarding the safe to abandon their position and chase after "Jirokichi". Conan meanwhile enters the room with the safe revealing the maid was Kaitou Kid in disguise. Conan reveals the first message by "Kaitou Kid" was actually done by Jirokichi asking for Kaitou's kid assistance. Conan also reveals Jirokichi purposely placed suspicion on himself in order to clear the area of cops so Kaitou Kid can open the safe. Inside the safe is revealed to be Jirokichi's dog, Lupin. Kid does a favor for Suzuki.

The Detective Boys attend a firefly festival to commemorate a shinto shrine in a village. The truck soon arrives with the fireflies and they are released into the fields. Later one of the truck drivers, Tokurou Nakamine, is found murdered and three of the villagers are the prime suspects. Conan notices a flashlight Genta found inside the truck and realizes who the murderer is. Using Agasa, Conan reveals the second truck driver, Shuchirou Tarumi, to be the murderer. Conan reveals that Tarumi murdered Nakamine in a desolated location near the village before turning the truck around and meeting with the other villagers. As evidence, Conan reveals the flashlight Genta found was actually a dictation machine with Nakamine's voice recorded on it. Tarumi takes Haibara hostage and attempts to flee but is eventually apprehended. Conan reveals that Tarumi's motive was fear of being exposed by Nakamine for embezzling money from the firefly project and stealing money from Nakamine's company.

Conan, Shukichi, Professor Agasa, Haibara, and the Detective Boys arrive at Yureizaka and are heading towards a graveyard in the middle of that slope. The "seven" and "three" on the incense chariot piece refer to Kiyomasa's Seven Spears and the Three Great Spears of Japan. The overlapping region between the two spears represents Masanori Fukushima, a person of the Seven Spears who owns Hinomotogo, one of the Three Great Spears. The upside-down T is the cartographic symbol for graveyards. When asked by Professor Agasa who the kidnapper may be, Shukichi thinks back to a shogi match he played against the very same culprit. That incident was the culprit's motive for kidnapping Yumi. Shukichi is revealed to be a sharp-minded person. Shukichi wins the Meijin title (the remaining of the seven shogi titles that he didn't posses). Sera invites Conan to her hotel room to talk with him. Yumi kisses Shukichi.

The guitar player and the other members are criticizing each other. After some time, when everybody gets into the rest room, the drum player is found dead on the drum with a rope mark on her neck. Because of the angle of the security camera, the police and Conan can not know about the situation about the murder clearly. Scotch is introduced. Sera officially meets Amuro for the first time and is suspicious of him, thinking she has met him before. Sera recalls when Scotch teaches her guitar, and Amuro briefly meets them there (she does not officially meet him, though).

When the investigation countines on, the bass player of the band mentions a deceased lead singer in the band. She and other members give Conan, Sera and Amuro a video of the band over the phone. The detectives even solve the case when the police are still trying to find the culprit. The culprit used the line of the drummer's hat to strangle her and put her on the drums, and is revealed to be the keyboard player, who managed to use a bottle full of water with sleeping pills to let the drummer asleep, even stated that the drummer's dislike of the former lead singer, which led to the latter's death. The keyboard player is then arrested. Scotch was an undercover MPD Public Safety officer who was killed by Akai. Conan confirms that Akai Shuichi is Sera's eldest brother. Also, Sera knows that Akai is FBI.

It is a famous 19th century unsolved case happened on a ship. A crew of ten people disappeared into thin air and the ship was found adrift. All five guests are also missing from their seats. They found the chef Kichiishi Eigo collapsed on the floor, head wounded and the word “curse” pinned on the door using a knife. They then discovered five set of footprints and shoes leading to the lake. Police arrived and Kichiishi Eigo shared that there were five guests from a company called Onda Trading. As they are investigating, the chef Kichiishi Eigo suddenly disappear and seem to walk into the lake like the five other customers. Conan begins to investigate and solve the case.
