Masayoshi Sato (佐藤 正義 ,Satō Masayoshi?) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Husband, wife, and daughter.
Masayoshi Sato was Miwako Sato's father. He was a Senior Superintendent in the Tokyo MPD before he died on duty, trying to stop a criminal, Shuji Kano, who was one of his four baseball teammates in high school, before getting hit by a truck that hadn't seen him thus saving his best friend. His death affected his family deeply. He was the high school baseball team's captain. He died eighteen years ago prior to the current timeline, but the culprit was never found until they did with Conan's help. Even after his death, his baseball team friends went to deposit flowers at the place where he was hit.
Personality
He was a righteous law enforcement member and always respected the law. He was always talented in whatever he did like playing baseball or cracking big cases making him earn quickly the title of Senior Superintendent. He was also a good father who liked to care about everyone and for him, any life was worth saving which was why he died eighteen years ago, trying to save a bank robber that was only found eighteen years after.
