She is Asami and Mitsuhiko's mother, and lives with them and her husband in a house in Beika. She is only seen once in the manga and anime, but her voice appears more than once. Her birth name is unknown. She is a schoolteacher just like her husband.
She seems to be pretty severe towards her children, although it can be justified by the number of times Mitsuhiko has risked his life running everywhere with the Detective Boys and by the fact that she is a schoolteacher, meaning that she cares a lot about good manners.
She is not tall but has a short haircut and peculiarly shaped glasses.
She is seen at the end of the case worrying for her son and scolding him for not going to safe places while Mitsuhiko feels humiliated.
Only her voice can be heard in the first part while she talks to Asami about going to her piano lessons.
Non-canon plot overview
Genta picks up the wideband receiver only to overhear a phone call between his mother and Mitsuhiko's in which it seems both boys will be in trouble when they return home.
Asami respects her mother really much and calls her by using strict speaking policies. It is also her mother that enroled her to do piano lessons.
He is a schoolteacher just like her and they might have met together while they were teaching in the same school.
