Asami Tsuburaya (円谷 朝美 Tsuburaya Asami) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.
Asami Tsuburaya is Mitsuhiko's older sister. She resembles him physically a lot, and seems to consider him a cute younger brother, as she calls him "Mit-chan". Her parents are both school teachers. She took piano lessons and is a big fan of the rock star "Satan" Onizuka. Not much else is known about her.
Asami was shown to be very cheerful and enthusiastic. She was not worried when Mitsuhiko disappeared and was actually pretty excited, because she thought it was like a TV drama. She is interested in some idols, as she asks Mitsuhiko to get her an autograph of one. She speaks politely, addressing her mother as "Okaa-sama instead of Okaa-san, because her parents are strict about polite speech.
Asami first appeared when Conan, Haibara, the Detective Boys, and Professor Agasa came to her house to ask about Mitsuhiko. She talked with them for a little while about Mitsuhiko and his possible whereabouts, and then left.
Like her little brother, her name comes from Yasuo Uchida's reporter character Mitsuhiko Asami (浅見 光彦 Asami Mitsuhiko). Her kanji letters are different from 浅見, and her name is written as 朝美 ("morning beauty").
