Numata (沼田 , Numata ? ) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan .

Yumi and Numata.
Numata is a police officer working for Tokyo Metropolitan Police District's Traffic Department. She is very friendly with Naeko , so much so that she often pushes her to take initiatives in her love story with Chiba . She entered police forces at the same time as her superior Yumi and is in charge of Beika Town. She owns a license to drive the mini patrol car although she doesn't drive it, preferring to let her more experienced friend Yumi drive.
Personality
She is rather open to her co-workers and friends' speeches and doesn't reply unless she has to. She also encourages her friends to take initiatives since she herself doesn't have a boyfriend.
