The group manages to take down all five robbers using the makeshift pranks. They first take down the bulky black-haired fake store employee, then the woman, with the fake hostage's stun-gun. The two undisguised robbers then arrive and one takes ahold of Conan, but is distracted by Mitsuhiko and Genta and knocked out with Conan's soccer ball. The second undisguised robber is taken down by Wakasa. They lure what they think is the final one of the robbers, but when Wakasa prepares to tackle him, he surprises them with a
sixth hidden accomplice, who is a hitman. The hitman then has Wakasa in a chokehold and Conan distracts the robber boss and takes down his pocket gun. Getting angry, the robber boss takes an ice pick and prepares to stab Conan, who is shielded by Kobayashi. However, when he prepares to stab, the ice pick lands into Wakasa's palm, as she managed to subdue the hitman while they were looking away. She then finally smashes the robber boss's face in the ground and knocks him out. One of the undisguised robbers from earlier wakes up and tries to escape, but when he makes it to the store front, he is knocked out by Makoto Kyogoku, who arrived with Sonoko, Jirokichi and Jirokichi's dog Lupin. Jirokichi reveals that
he is customer with the expensive goggles, which are Lupin's goggles. Later, the police arrests the group and Shiratori thanks Wakasa for saving his girlfriend (Kobayashi). She says that it's nothing, and that it was just a favor repaid, as she thinks about how she used Kobayashi for her own gains in a
previous case and about how she now understands the value of friendship.
