Mr. B is not a part-time worker and did not know about specific horse-racing jargon. He is in fact an assistant director for prank shows. Kogoro and Eri orders them to leave if they do not want to stay in trouble. The real owner of the money is Mr. A. However, Mr. A does not work for a law firm nor is taking the money to a ransom location, but instead conned an old man into revealing the location of his savings. Him, his money mule and the other members of the crime ring he was part of, including the boss, are later arrested in a police raid.
