Ai now suspects one of the deliverymen of being an accomplice, but Inspector Takagi dismisses this theory: since none of the delivery services had collected their dishes, a mirror should have been found at the crime scene. As a hand-off on the way to the victim's room can also be ruled out, Conan — who regards Satan as the culprit — wonders how the perpetrator managed to apply makeup. While pondering the origami and watching the other Detective Boys look at their reflections in the windowpane, Conan sees through Satan's trick.
