=== File 141 - Gone!? ===
==== File 141 - Gone!? ====

Conan is unable to figure out how a piece of rope disappeared, but when he figures out who is wearing a wig, he realizes that the person has killed two people on the same night. Using Ran to reveal the secret by using his own voice, Shinchi reveals the information to everyone present, but the revelation will shock everyone involved, especially Ran and Sonoko. With Agasa's help, Conan was able to get very important information about "Minako". Both Nakamura and Yonehara heard a voice from cellphone from Shimoda's room and went to ask him to shut it off. They discovered that he was murdered!

==== File 143 - Truth From Tears ====

As Conan have been sitting at the stairway for entire night, one of the three teachers on the second floor must be the murderer who still has the weapon with his/herself, however after a body search, the weapon is not found!
<spoiler>
The culprit is '''Akiko Yohehara'''. Minako Mochizuki had found out that Sugiyama and another teacher (Shimoda, but she didn't tell his name to Yonehara) were involved in a fraud, and added that she was planning to confront the unnamed teacher. The poor girl was found hanged in the school gym few days later, and while everyone thought Minako had commited suicide under the effect of stress over the upcoming exams, Yonehara deduced that she had been killed by Sugiyama and his accomplice.
Knowing the identity of only one of Minako's two murderers, Yonehara organized the trip to gather the teachers that she knew Minako was a fan of. She first killed Sugiyama and left his body hidden outside the lodge to freeze and trick people in regards to the time of his death. Later, she attacked Sonoko to have an alibi, then immediately afterwards pretended to be a victim as well (using Sugiyama's body to such effects, that's the "Yonehara" Sonoko actually saw before being attacked), and used her lipstick to spell out Minako's name in all of these cases. Shimoda's panicked reaction upon realizing the last detail revealed his involvement to her, so she tricked him into meeting up with her and killed him as well.

=== File 143 - Truth From Tears ===
The murder weapon was Yonehara's wig: she had cut her hair too short for her liking a while ago and hid it via a very long wig, and then decided to use it to strangle her victims, excluding Sonoko as seen in the picture, without leaving clues. Ran says that there were small bloody scratches on the dead Shimoda's neck, and that there are be some droplets of his blood in the wig.

Once she's uncovered, Yonehara takes off the wig. She admits her responsibility for the crimes and says she couldn't forgive teachers who betray students and injure/kill them, but then she adds she's no one to talk because she harmed Sonoko to make her trick work.

Ran, whose emotional state had slowly taken a nosedive as Conan relayed the deductions to her, gets ready to leave the room, barely reacting to Mouri telling her that he'll write a great article on "her" deductions. She sees Conan standing outside the hall, ready to "tell" her that Shinichi is gone; before he can do so, she falls to her knees and hugs him tearfully. Two hours later the snowstorm stops, and the police arrives.

=== File 144 - Their Voices Are Alike!? ===
==== File 144 - Their Voices Are Alike!? ====
Conan, Ran, and Sonoko meet in front of a concert hall; Ran and Sonoko are on their way to a concert by the band "Two-Mix". Shortly thereafter, Conan and the "Detective Boys" encounter Minami Takayama, the band's lead singer, who invites them to a restaurant. She explains that she is waiting for her bandmate, Shiina Nagano, who has not yet arrived.

The members of the pop group, Two-Mix, are kidnapped and the kidnappers demand the Detective Boys to deliver the bag belonging to one of the singers, Minami Takayama. The police tail the Detective Boys and when captured, find out Ayumi is disguised as Conan and that the kidnappers demanded Ayumi to deliver the item.
She also reveals that her apartment has been broken into and that she has been receiving threatening phone calls demanding that she stop singing. The "Detective Boys" offer to take on the case. They learn that these incidents began after the band played a demo of their new song on the radio. Since Minami happens to have the cassette with her, they listen to the track — at which point Mitsuhiko notices that Conan and Minami have the exact same voice.

=== File 145 - What They Are After... ===
As the restaurant's telephone is currently in use, Conan lends her his earring phone. At that moment, Shiina calls the restaurant and asks Minami to come to a van parked nearby. It turns out that Shiina is being held at gunpoint; the kidnapper and his accomplice then force Minami to get into the vehicle as well. The "Detective Boys" and Conan, having witnessed the entire incident, alert Inspector Megure. The kidnappers make contact and demand that the children bring them Minami's bag.

Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta tells Inspector Megure everything except how to find Conan. They decide to follow him and they learned who the kidnapper is and why the crime was committed.
==== File 145 - What They Are After... ====
Conan and the Detective Boys agree to deliver the bag to the kidnappers. The kidnappers instruct them to visit various public phone booths at different train stations. During one of these calls, Conan learns that the kidnappers are after a demo tape, so he examines it for clues. The Detective Boys mention that the band passed by a temple when they came up with the idea for the song — a temple located near the scene of an unsolved murder case.

=== File 146 - A Duet!? ===
After a while, the kidnappers demand that Conan — without the police noticing — hand the cassette over to Ayumi. Ayumi is then instructed to "miss" the next train. During the train ride, the children throw the bag outside. The men, who were already waiting nearby, rush to the spot where the bag landed — followed by Inspector Megure — and begin to guard it.

<spoiler>
Meanwhile, Conan — disguised as Ayumi — slips away and is led by the kidnappers to a warehouse. When one of the kidnappers opens the door, Conan incapacitates him using his wristwatch. He informs the kidnapping victims that the police — guided by his radar-equipped glasses — will arrive shortly. However, the Detective Boys, who had followed the signal from their badges on their own, fall into the hands of the second kidnapper.
'''Satoshi Miyahara''' is the kidnapper who wants to destroy Two-Mix along with the song that they wrote because the lyrics coincidentally reveal the truth behind a murder that he committed. With some tricks from his cell phone, Conan is able to save the pop group. He was Two-Mix's only manager.

</spoiler>
==== File 146 - A Duet!? ====
The kidnapper sets a fire inside the warehouse. After Conan confronts him — revealing that he had committed a murder at the temple back then and disguised it as self-defense — the man locks Conan, the "Detective Boys," and the members of "Two-Mix" inside the warehouse and flees. Even Conan’s "power-kick" shoes prove ineffective; those trapped inside cannot open the door as the fire continues to spread. Overcome by thick smoke, Conan briefly loses consciousness. Realizing that his earring-phone is still on Minami’s ear, he uses it to call the kidnapper, claiming that he and the others have already escaped the burning building. Shocked, the kidnapper returns to check on them. At that moment, Minami and Shina attack him from behind and incapacitate him. Just as the group begins to celebrate their freedom, the kidnapper regains consciousness and fires a shot at Shina. Conan immediately launches a projectile at the man using his "power-kick" shoes, while Minami simultaneously delivers a kick. With this, the dangerous situation is finally brought to an end.

The kidnappers are arrested, and "Two-Mix" manages to reach their concert just in time. Since Minami misses the opening song, Conan steps in — though he sings quite off-key. Minami, looking visibly dejected, eventually joins in and encourages Conan to keep singing. As a reward for solving the case, the children are invited onto the stage to perform the opening song together with "Two-Mix". After the concert, Minami calls the "little detectives" over to ask how they enjoyed the performance. Finally, she gives each of the "Detective Boys" a small gift.

Later, Sonoko, Ran, and Conan are at a karaoke bar; although Conan is clearly making an effort, there is no noticeable improvement in his singing.

==== File 147 - Licking His Finger!? ====
Conan is assisting Kogoro with a game of Mahjong. When the fourth player leaves, they decide to call Mr. Hida, who works in the building across the street. Hida agrees to join the game but explains that he must first finish some accounting tasks. While waiting, they play a few practice rounds with Ran, who has arrived to pick up Conan.

=== File 147 - Licking His Finger!? ===
After some time — with Hida having neither appeared nor responded to calls — they go to check on him. Outside his office door, they encounter an employee named Minamisawa; since he had left his mobile phone inside the office, he unlocks the door for them. When Hida fails to respond to their knocking, they force the locked door open and find him lying dead on the floor.

Kogoro, Conan, Ran, and some of Kogoro's friends are at a Mah Jong hall. One of his friends leave so now they're missing a player. They call Hida who says he'll be there in half an hour. He doesn't show so the gang goes to investigate. They run into Minamizawa who says he forgot his cell phone. They go to check on Hida who's dead. He suffocated because of potassium cyanide poisoning. The room was locked doors and windows.
Inspector Megure, arriving at the scene, determines that Hida was poisoned between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM. As both the windows and the door were locked from the inside, it appears to be a "locked-room murder." Conan suggests checking the surveillance camera footage; however, it only confirms that the victim was alone the entire time — after his employees had left the office. Shortly thereafter, the employees suddenly reappear at the office. The police discover traces of poison on the victim’s thumb, on several banknotes, and on the door. Conan surmises that Hida left his office while counting money and, in doing so, came into contact with an object outside the room that had been laced with poison.

=== File 148 - She Used Magic!? ===
==== File 148 - She Used Magic!? ====
Inspector Megure instructs the forensics team to search the entire office for traces of poison. He orders Takako Fuji — who is in the middle of preparing tea — and everyone else present to stop touching anything. Furthermore, all the suspects had visited the restroom while Ino was working at his computer. Each of the three suspects has a motive to kill their boss. Since no further traces of poison are found at the crime scene, the suspects' personal belongings are also examined, but nothing is discovered there either.

=== File 149 - A Devil's Calling ===
Conan reviews the case, reflecting on the employees' behavior after their arrival. When the forensics team reports an unusual discovery related to the traces of poison, Conan realizes that the key to solving the case lies in the restroom. In a small cabinet, he finds a bottle of bleach that had been used shortly before.

<spoiler>
==== File 149 - A Devil's Calling ====
Hida's right thumb was poisoned when he went to turn off a burner that the killer had turned on. The switch on the burner had poison on it which rubbed off on his thumb. When he returned to count his bills he locked the doors and windows. The killer knew that Hida licked his finger to separate the bills so that was how Hida poisoned himself. The killer was '''Takako Fujii'''. When the police came, Takako used bleach to wipe the burner switch clean and Conan used iodine to prove that her handkerchief was soaked in bleach. Her boyfriend had borrowed money from Hida but couldn't pay it back so he hung himself. He took the loan so that Takako could have a heart operation. She worked for Hida in order to plan her revenge and kill him.
<spoiler>After uncovering the identity of the murderer, Conan uses his wristwatch to render Kogoro unconscious. He asks Ran to fetch some iodine and then proceeds to reconstruct the sequence of events. The perpetrator had lured Hida out of his office while he was in the middle of counting money — a process during which he touched a specific object. Upon returning to his office, Hida licked his thumb, thereby poisoning himself. Minamisawa’s telephone can be ruled out as the source, as he operated it with his bare hands and also has a habit of biting his fingernails. Ino’s computer can likewise be excluded, as that would have left traces on the keyboard.
</spoiler>

Conan concludes that the victim heard a kettle whistling and turned off the stove — the switch for which had been laced with poison. Since '''Takako Fuji''' was alone in the kitchen following the incident, she must be the murderer. Using the iodine provided by Ran, Conan demonstrates that her handkerchief had been treated with bleach to neutralize the poison; the bleach itself is discovered in a bathroom cabinet. Realizing she has been exposed, Ms. Fuji confesses to the murder. She sought revenge for the suicide of her boyfriend, who had fallen into debt; he had borrowed money from the victim and was unable to pay it back. Although she generally believes that individuals are responsible for their own predicaments, she viewed this case differently because the borrowed money had actually benefited her. Having suffered from a weak heart since childhood, Ms. Fuji had spent the majority of her life — up until three years ago — in a hospital. With no family left and a personality that made it difficult for her to form new friendships, this man had been her only companion. When her treatment was finally successful and she was discharged from the hospital, she went to see her lover — only to discover that he had already hanged himself. She then asks the detective how he concluded that she was the murderer. The crucial clue was that she had kept her left hand in her pocket the entire time; fearing that traces of poison might still be on it, she had used only her right hand.</spoiler>
Three days later, Ran visits her father and Conan at a mahjong parlor. It seems that Ran has developed a growing interest in the game, and she joins in for a round. The proprietor asks aloud who could have taught her how to play — a remark that prompts Kogoro and Conan to leave the parlor.

Kogoro is recommended by someone to a wealthy family for a routine assignment; the man wishes to find his first love. With the police roaming around the house, though, Conan begins to wonder if that's really all there is to it. His answer comes when suddenly, the son of the wealthy man supposedly kills his child hood friend. Later they celebrate the chairman's birthday, then Nobuko became very angry at Miyuki and goes out of the room. Later they receive a call from Mitsuaki, that he was attacked by a man wrapped with bandages. Later, they saw Hideomi holding a knife in his mouth, and found Mitsuaki stabbed through the spike fence. Take received a phone call from Mitsuaki that told him he was stabbed by someone. Everyone apart from the chairman and Miyuki rushed to the room below that they saw someone with knife in his mouth walking toward the balcony. By the time they were able to enter the room, Mitsuaki is found pierced by the fence atop the wall outside!

  • File 144 - Their Voices Are Alike!?

    Conan, Ran, and Sonoko meet in front of a concert hall; Ran and Sonoko are on their way to a concert by the band "Two-Mix". Shortly thereafter, Conan and the "Detective Boys" encounter Minami Takayama, the band's lead singer, who invites them to a restaurant. She explains that she is waiting for her bandmate, Shiina Nagano, who has not yet arrived.

    File 145 - What They Are After...

    File 146 - A Duet!?

    File 147 - Licking His Finger!?

    Conan is assisting Kogoro with a game of Mahjong. When the fourth player leaves, they decide to call Mr. Hida, who works in the building across the street. Hida agrees to join the game but explains that he must first finish some accounting tasks. While waiting, they play a few practice rounds with Ran, who has arrived to pick up Conan.

    File 148 - She Used Magic!?

    Inspector Megure instructs the forensics team to search the entire office for traces of poison. He orders Takako Fuji — who is in the middle of preparing tea — and everyone else present to stop touching anything. Furthermore, all the suspects had visited the restroom while Ino was working at his computer. Each of the three suspects has a motive to kill their boss. Since no further traces of poison are found at the crime scene, the suspects' personal belongings are also examined, but nothing is discovered there either.

    File 149 - A Devil's Calling

    Three days later, Ran visits her father and Conan at a mahjong parlor. It seems that Ran has developed a growing interest in the game, and she joins in for a round. The proprietor asks aloud who could have taught her how to play — a remark that prompts Kogoro and Conan to leave the parlor.
