Plot overview
Ran, Sonoko, and Masumi are seen buying a photobook of a popular model, Remi Sekizawa at a bookstore. They talk about Remi Sekizawa with their classmate and the younger sister of the popular model, Yumi Sekizawa. Yumi invites the three to the two sisters' birthday party, with Conan tagging along at Ran's request. While at the party, they meet Remi's acquaintances. They are her manager, Mitomu Kushiyama, a pastry chef and her former classmate, Tsuguo Hatsune, and a hair and make-up stylist, Mizutoshi Hanasaki. Later, a groan and collapse sound by the stylist was heard while a video of the sisters was playing by a projector. He was found dead due to poisoning, soon after the lights were turned back on. The suspects are Remi, Yumi, Mitomu Kushiyama and Tsuguo Hatsune.
Relationships analysis
Family and friends
Remi Sekizawa
Yumi considers Remi as a lazy and scatterbrained older sister. She helps her clumsy and forgetful sister whenever she needs something and is usually annoyed because of her behaviour.
Ran Mouri
Ran and Yumi are both Teitan High-school 2nd Year students and are classmates. Ran is also a fan of Yumi's model sister, Remi. When Yumi was declared as one of the suspects by Masumi, Ran asked Masumi to leave her out.
Sonoko Suzuki
Sonoko and Yumi are both Teitan High-school 2nd Year students and are classmates. When Yumi was declared as one of the suspects by Masumi, Sonoko, same with Ran, asked Masumi to leave her out.
Masumi Sera
Masumi and Yumi are both Teitan High-school 2nd Year students and are classmates. Despite declaring her classmate friend as one of the suspects, she respects Yumi and did so just to follow the procedure since Yumi was acquainted with the victim.
