Yaiba successfully uses the Sword of Raijin for the first time and defeats Kojiro with it. Kojiro, in his quest to become the greatest swordsman, switches his focus from defeating his long-time rival Musashi to defeating Yaiba instead, which would allow him to get his hands on the sword of Raijin.

A continuation from the previous episode, Yaiba and Namako-Otoko continue their adventure with Musashi in the events leading up to his battle with Kojiro.

6 years ago, Yaiba accepted Nadeshiko's promise that he would let Nadeshiko to be close to him if she became stronger. However, Yaiba misunderstood her words, thinking that she will give him soba. Sayaka wants to become stronger as Yaiba likes strong people.

A flashback between Nadeshiko and Yaiba 6 years ago in the jungle is explored.
