Plot
Manga to anime changes
- After the previous episode, Namako-Otoko joins Yaiba's group. In the manga, he only joined some time later during the group's journey back to Tokyo.
- The 2nd battle against Namekuji-Otoko is longer in manga. Yaiba defeats him using Senpuken instead of cooking him in boiling water to lure him out from the shell like in manga.
- The subplot of Bat Guy transforming Yaiba into werewolf is removed in the new anime. Instead, Bat Guy transforms Musashi into vampire, followed by Gerozaemon, Namako-Otoko, and Shonosuke. Unlike the manga, Kagetora manages to escape and save cornered Yaiba and Sayaka. The battle in the castle also happen on the same night instead of the day after in manga.
- The order of the battles in the castle is different from manga. While in manga Yaiba hid in armor after his senpuken was disabled, in the new anime he hide before that, which followed by the battle on the roof without the sword.
- Unlike in the manga, there is no side effect after eating Onimaru Manju. As a result, the subplot where Yaiba destoryed the factory is not in the new anime.
- The anime adds original scene which shows the news about Onimaru gaining support nationwide.
Trivia
- The "Inste" (インステ Insute) platform Sayaka refers to is a parody of Instagram. The name is derived from インスタ (Insuta ), which is the Japanese abbreviation of Instagram.
