While practicing penalty kicks, Sanada's soccer ball accidentally hits Koh while he's riding his bike past the park, injuring Koh's ankle. Koh is upset and makes Sanada promise to play his next match and score a goal using his right leg.

Evidence

• Conan points out that with the way Sanada had kicked the soccer ball there is no way for the ball to have hit Koh.
• Fukazawa's glasses are damaged.

Conclusion

Shingo Fukazawa is actually responsible for the soccer ball hitting Koh. Conan, disguising his voice as Kogoro, called the manager of the Nishishiba Park and had him check the video footage. In the video footage, Sanada's soccer ball hits Fukazawa in the face, knocking off his glasses. Angry, Fukazawa then picked up the ball and threw it, accidentally hitting Koh and causing the accident.

Fukazawa later apologizes to both Koh and Sanada, and Sanada in turn apologizes to Fukazawa.

Motive

Fukazawa was angry the ball hit him. Sanada felt responsible so Fukazawa didn't bother telling the truth.

Trivia

• This episode was written by movie 16's scripwriter, Kazunari Kouchi, as a follow-up to this movie. The episode takes place after the movie.
