The Cosplay Rider of the Wind (旋風のコスプレライダー Senpū no Kosupure Raidā) is the 1197th episode of the Detective Conan anime. This episode is a pre-story for Fallen Angel of the Highway.

Situation
Over the past month, there have been four purse-snatching incidents caused by a pair of thieves on a motorcycle. Most notably, the most recent incident involved a large sum of money being stolen.
As Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys are talking to Kamen Yaiba cosplayer Takeshi Fujimiya, a purse-snatching incident occurs nearby.
The thief attempts to flee from the crime scene after their attempt fails, only to be followed by Conan riding his skateboard, and Kamen Yaiba riding a bicycle that he happens to see. The thief is able to escape thanks to the road that is still under construction, which Conan and Kamen Yaiba have close to no knowledge of.
Takagi and Sato, after seeing the pursuit being followed by the four kids and the man that almost got his purse stolen, whose identity is revealed to be a salesman Hideo Saida, interrogate the five as their usual drill.
Later, Conan and Fujimiya come to give information after the failed pursuit. Fujimiya is a night shift security guard that stops by the park to do his training after his shift is over. In addition, he confirms to Conan that he has been training from every 7 a.m to 9 a.m for four consecutive days.
Takagi and Sato also confirm that due to noise complaints from the neighbors, the construction only starts from 9 a.m, while the park does not allow anyone to enter from 7 p.m to 7 a.m of the next day. If someone were to enter within the restricted time, they would be caught by either a security guard, or some cameras working at night.
