Anno (庵野 An'no) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Anno is one of Kogoro's mahjong friends who has a cute miniature dachshund named Aina and is a major fan of Rena Mizunashi. He tries to help clear up some of the mysterious connection between Rena and Hidemi Hondou.

Anno is a victim of fraud while he’s on a trip, after the culprit is found; he tried to help clear up the connection between News reporter Rena Mizunashi and Eisuke’s sister Hidemi Hondou.
The Fugitive (Manga: 594, Anime: TV Special 4)
While Kogoro is escaping from the Detective Boys to avoid giving them new year's money, he calls Anno, who is relaxing at his house, so he could hide at his house for the time being. Anno agrees to play mahjong with him, but said that "someone" (the Detective Boys) already called asking him if Kogoro would be there. Kogoro abandons the plan to stay at Anno's and hangs up on him.
