Koji Yatsukawa (八川 弘司 Yatsukawa Kōji) is a character in the anime and movie franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Koji Yatsukawa is an assistant director at Nichiuri TV and a big fan of the famous Sleeping Kogoro.
Personality
Yatsukawa gets along well with Kogoro and Conan, often telling them everything they want to know.

Plot overview
The Seven Wonders of the Hiroshima Miyajima Tour (Anime: 594-595)
Whilst Kogoro was filming his own documentary, "Great Detective's Holiday: A Hiroshima-Miyajima Gourmet Tour", Yatsukawa from the filming crew was dragged into a serial attack incident seemingly related to the "Misen's Seven Wonders". Whereby, Yatsukawa unfortunately became the first victim of all; his unattended belongings (positioned near the stairs of Itsukushima Shrine Treasure Hall) had a can of coffee to which salt had been added, which Yatsukawa a "boring prank".
The Séance's Double Locked Room Mystery Case (Anime: 603-605)
Apart from his identity as a Nichiuri TV assistant director, Yatsukawa is as well a member of the Kira Miyahara Fan Club (with fan code No. 00011). With like-minded people, he took part in a séance, through which they wanted to find out whether there really was a curse on their Kira Miyahara. Yatsukawa thus met Kogoro again, but on that same night, one of the two organizers plus a model were murdered. He became a suspect because he had no alibi during the time of murder. After the case was closed, for which he won an award for reporting, he expressed some degree of sadness due to many of his friends being either dead or in prison. In Kogoro's detective agency, Yatsukawa asked if Kogoro would help him report about an allegedly haunted warehouse, yet was eventually turned down by Conan.
Witnessed (alongside Mikihiko Kamisuwa) the brilliant collaboration between Conan and Daisuke Jigen atop the Bell Tree Tower.
The Crimson Love Letter (Movie: 21)
He is briefly seen with Heiji in the Nichiuri TV headquarters in Osaka and evacuates after there is bomb threat.
