In the post credit scene, Shuichi Akai looks at a bullet and apologizes for keeping the viewer waiting for The Scarlet Bullet, which was postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic. Akai then says that the viewer should not make such a face because they will see each other again soon. The movie ends with The Scarlet Bullet trailer.
Anime to movie changes
- In the original episode 345, Akai uses both hands to fire the shotgun at Vermouth. In this movie and the original manga, Akai is shown to cock and fire the shotgun singlehandedly, having his right hand in his pocket. To fake his death, Akai keeps his right hand in his pocket while Kir shoots him, which makes more sense as the right hand can be protected for later fingerprinting and it makes people think Akai is truly dead because of that habit.
