Toshio Moroboshi (諸星 登志夫 ,Moroboshi Toshio?) is a character in the movie franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Toshio Moroboshi is Superintendent General Hakuba's deputy, as the second-in-command of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.
He is one of the most influencial people of the Japan Police and will be succeeded by his grandson Hideki like many other influencial people, a system that is disapproved by many people in the country.
About Sleeping Kogorou, he thinks it's because his wife left while he was sleeping that he's stuck with that nickname and his grandson used that thought to sully the famous detective.
He likes quite magnificent bronze statues.
Personality
Toshio is a serious man that has a strong built body and has a grave expression. He talks loudly and is suggested to be corrupted like many other japanese important people.

He is an almost retreated man with black laid-back hair and a tan skin. He has a moustache and wears a black bow tie on his suit and is a bit chubby.

Plot overview
Even if it's the only time he appears, we can deduce a lot of information from him. He was invited by Thomas Schindler like many other important people to have his son be a tester of the new developped game. He also financed the game developper and is also here to have a friendly chat with old friends and make new aquaintances.

Superintendent General Hakuba
He is Superintendent General Hakuba's direct subordinate and is the one in charge of the police when Saguru Hakuba's father is not in function.
Hideki Moroboshi
Hideki Moroboshi, 12 years old, is one of his grandchilren and perhaps, his favorite. He really likes and is disappointed when Noah's Ark start to control the game because it might endanger his child's life.
Tetsunosuke Emori
They are best friends together and discuss a lot together. Tetsunosuke Emori is an important financial group and bank president that is also aged in the 60s. He is also the grandfather of Akira Emori, one of Hideki's classmates.

His full name comes from Ataru Moroboshi, the main protagonist in Urusei Yatsura, and Toshio Furukawa, the actor that voices Ataru and Misao Yamamura.
