Yaiba (剣勇伝説YAIBA 未公開パイロット Kenyū Densetsu Yaiba Mikōkai Pairotto) is a pilot OVA that was released in 1991, two years before Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba was released. With a running length of 13 minutes, it was originally released for the magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday, in which Yaiba was serialized. It was re-released in 2004 alongside the Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba DVD box set[1],[2].
