|summary= Agasa and Conan are on their way to Kanagawa to try out some food with Ran, Sonoko, and Kogoro at a French restaurant, whose owner happens to be a fan of the Sleeping Kogoro, when the two are pulled over by a policewoman for speeding. After giving Agasa instruction and a fine ticket, the policewoman looks at Conan and smiles before she leaves, which makes Conan question himself if he’s ever met her before.
The kidnappers show no mercy after realizing that they are being tailed, even if it is just a boy, and this almost causes Conan to lose his life. Fortunately, the mysterious policewoman from the beginning of the story, later introduced as [[Chihaya Hagiwara]], appears in time to rescue the boy. The two continue their pursuit, despite the increasing odds, and Conan's determination reminds Chihaya of her deceased younger brother.
