Horita is a detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Division One Investigations. He loves Sato and is thus jealous of Takagi, often attempting to interrupt their dates along with several other officers. He has respect for Matsumoto and follows his orders. He ate Azusa's special pasta when came to Café Poirot on their stakeout, and said it was really delicious. So he's been coming here a lot recently.[2]
