The twenty-eighth season of the Detective Conan anime consists of the episodes aired in the year 2023.

It begun airing in January 7, 2023 and finished airing on December 23, 2023, with a total of 41 episodes. There are 13 manga-adapted episodes and 28 anime-original episodes. There were breaks totaling to 2 weeks, with remastered reruns broadcast for 8 weeks and the special Police Academy Arc Wild Police Story CASE. Rei Furuya in a week.

Later, while Kogoro and Conan are questioning a witness named Tomoe Izumi, they accidentally see Juichi Innami on TV, who has been missing for 10 days, with a face similar to Utagawa. After seeing Vodka, Conan tells his friends not to approach the scene, especially not to show themselves to Haibara. After checking the victim's belongings that have fallen, he finds a code that seems to be from the FBI and immediately returns to Kudo's house to find Akai, only to see almost every FBI agent currently in Japan other than Akai there. He shows the FBI that the code is relatively easy to solve, but Camel wants to use this loophole to lure the Black Organization's plan; however, it backfires heavily under the intervention of Rum, the second-in-command of the Black Organization.

With the addition of Masaru Bando, who serves as managing director. They are being kept calm. The reason for their argument seems to be that their father, Kenzo, was sent to the operating room. The three of them explain to Kogoro that Kenzo fell into the refrigerated warehouse. At the same time, the surgery is finished, and everyone approaches him to ask about his condition. The reason Kazuha knows this place is because Heiji was watching the shrine on his phone, this makes Conan believe that Heiji must have arrived at the place. Since Heiji could not reveal himself too soon, Conan gives him the voice-changing bowtie after teasing him with it, just as when Ran and Kazuha notice the boy talking to someone, whom Kazuha mistakes for Komoto Hyoga as he is perceived to be desperate for the love amulet.

Speaking of amulets, the girls recall that when they were buying these amulets, they saw a man talking about how miraculous the shrine was when he found three people. However, a scream is heard and the four find the man mentioned earlier dead after rushing to where the scream comes from. The dead person is a police officer who happened to catch three people from three different cases.

Agasa and Conan are on their way to Kanagawa to try out some food with Ran, Sonoko, and Kogoro at a French restaurant, whose owner happens to be a fan of the Sleeping Kogoro, when the two are pulled over by a policewoman for speeding. After giving Agasa instruction and a fine ticket, the policewoman looks at Conan and smiles before leaving, making Conan question himself if he’s ever met her before.

In the bathroom of the restaurant, Agasa happens to meet a safe company director whose appearance looks identical to him, Kinji Nanjou. The professor is asked by the director to act as a body double to him, without the two acknowledging the upcoming kidnap that is going to happen. Conan, who happens to figure that Agasa is abducted when following the two people, with one having thought to be Nanjou, alerts the others while he pursues the kidnappers.

Noticing the follower behind, the kidnappers proceed to show the boy that the game of chasing, and the game of his life as well, is over. Fortunately, the mysterious policewoman from the beginning of the story, later introduced as Chihaya Hagiwara, appears in time to rescue the boy. The two continue their pursuit, despite the increasing odds, and Conan's determination reminds Chihaya of her deceased younger brother.

Multiple roadblocks have been set up for the kidnappers, but they somehow managed to get through. Luckily, at the roadblocks Conan and Chihaya are at, the policeman guarding the location recalls a driver who saw a person buying 20 bottles of tea and an umbrella for unknown reason. Conan is able to figure that the kidnappers used the aforementioned items to change the color of the car. But they have to hurry, as there is news of the real director being arrested.

Conan eventually finds out the truth, but Kogoro's haste is always the reason why he has to put him to sleep.

Conan and Kogoro are on their way home from the bar Kogoro was in the previous night when the duo find Shunichi Tsukuba, the president of Tsukuba Cooperation, dead on the street. The Cooperation executives mention Tsukuba had already survived two previous assaults, and wanted to capture the criminal on their third attempt, so he told the staff not to report to the police. This means that his death could be caused by a murder.

In contrast, Sadako Machigawa, who is Shunichi’s aunt and is the one he trusts the most, received a call from her nephew, showing signs that he wanted to commit suicide. The statement can be said the same with the call Aoi received from someone who used to receive help from the president.

Investigation from the police shows that Masamura has received several threatening letters related to his popular novel. Could it be related to this case?

Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys are playing soccer, when Ayumi finds a man's body. The autopsy reveals that the murderer must have been covered in the victim's blood. During the exhibition, when paint is sprayed thickly from the chimney, Kid steals the Queen's Bang. Conan assumes that Kid could only be disguised as one of the three people who were not wearing masks at the time: Amuro, Kazami, and Azusa.

The plan is to have Inumaru pretend to die at Sanada's house so that Yukawa can have an excuse to demand money from Inumaru, who is assumed to be dead by Sanada, forcing the victim to pay the money for Inumaru. On the next day, Sanada calls the detective he has been hiring for a few days, Kogoro Mouri, to end the service along with giving him the cancellation fee. Kogoro refuses the request, as he has figured out that his client has been fooled by these greedies, and that there is no body at the burial location. However, to everyone’s surprise, there is.
1108 1166 The Secret Hidden By the Cards December 23, 2023 Detective Boys TV Original Fire alarm
In an undisclosed bookstore, before a trading card match between Naoto Masaki and Daigo Zaizen can happen, Masaki is crushed by the bookshelf behind him. The falling shelf makes the fire alarm go off, making everyone panic as they run for their lives. However, as everyone goes back to Masaki's location, he is dead. Most of the time, a falling shelf due to being pushed is not enough to kill a person.
