Season 28

The twenty-eighth season of the Detective Conan anime consists of the episodes aired in the year 2023.

It begun airing in January 7, 2023 and finished airing on December 23, 2023, with a total of 41 episodes. There are 13 manga-adapted episodes and 28 anime-original episodes. There were breaks totaling to 2 weeks, with remastered reruns broadcast for 8 weeks and the special Police Academy Arc Wild Police Story CASE. Rei Furuya in a week.

Agasa and the children are in the hallway of an apartment when they hear a scream. When they come to the room where the scream came from, a woman named Mai Takigawa opens the door and collapses. While in the room, Riko Totsuka is crying over Yusuke Tsuda’s body. It appears that Takigawa accidentally killed Tsuda without knowing that he and Totsuka were planning to surprise her with a birthday party, although Conan and the police discover clues that make them think there’s more to the case.

Before today’s event, Yusaku Kudo cleared a Kaito Kid forgery letter with Nakamori's help. On Wednesday, Yusaku plans to solve the locked-room murder cases that happened a month ago, which he had just given advice on to the police on TV at 8 pm on Saturday. However, at 4 pm on Saturday, Yukiko and Conan have to discuss an alternative plan because Yusaku has gotten food poisoning, and things worsen when Yukiko also falls ill. Fortunately, Yusaku Kudo (disguised by someone else that Conan believes to be Kaitou Kid) is there to "return the favor" to him, but they have very little time to prepare for the TV show.

Conan explains each murder scene to Kaito Kid, and gives Kid an earpiece to listen to his deductions and repeat them. Yusaku Kudo's Detective Show officially begins! After the show ends, things take a turn when Inspector Megure announces that Inspector Nakamori has confirmed that Kid was in Shibuya tonight. We have all been deceived by Vermouth, but why did she even come here in the first place? Yusaku and Yukiko saw through the Black Organization's attempt to take them out by food poisoning. They planned with the FBI and pretended to get the symptoms of food poisoning to fool the Black Organization. Vermouth disguised as Yusaku to infiltrate the Kudo Residence by Rum orders to investigate Yusaku, whom he considers a threat to the organization. Shuichi, Jodie and Camel appears.

After finishing dinner with the family, Conan receives a call from Oi informing him that an anonymous person has sent a message stating that Yasushi, a suspect, was a co-worker of someone. But the call is interrupted when someone injures Kogoro as a warning not to interfere.

A man named Akira Komoda was killed, and according to the apartment owner's testimony, he was trying to blackmail Tosuke Utagawa. Later, while Kogoro and Conan are questioning a witness named Tomoe Izumi, they accidentally see Juichi Innami on TV, who has been missing for 10 days, with a face similar to Utagawa. Is there any hidden meaning behind this coincidence?

There have been quite a few unidentified foreign murders recently, and the case that Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys accidentally encounter after hearing a loud noise is no exception. After seeing Vodka, Conan tells his friends not to approach the scene, especially not to show themselves to Haibara. After checking the victim's belongings that have fallen, he finds a code that seems to be from the FBI and immediately returns to Kudo's house to find Akai, only to see almost every FBI agent currently in Japan other than Akai there. He shows the FBI that the code is relatively easy to solve, but Camel wants to use this loophole to lure the Black Organization's plan; however, it backfires heavily under the intervention of Rum, the second-in-command of the Black Organization. Since the Black Organization started moving again, the FBI uses this occasion to hunt down the Black Organization and gather information on them. The Detective Boys witness the death of an FBI agent. The Black Organization hunts down FBI agents. The whole FBI in Japan appears, including Shuichi Akai, Jodie Starling, Andre Camel and James Black.

Because the plan to lure the Black Organization fails, the participants, including Camel, are running for their lives under the fierce pursuit of the organization members. Kogoro has to help control the situation and get Kusumi to leave. However, at around 6 pm, when Kogoro wakes up and wants to go to the restroom, Kusumi is found dead. And remember, the restroom has a specific mechanic: when someone is inside, no one outside can put the coin in. So what kind of a trick was used by the culprit?

Conan reveals that the boyfriend hired the kidnapper to murder his girlfriend, but captured Ran instead because of their tent placement. After examining some clues, he realizes that Ran is in a river and that it will flood at 3 o'clock. After saving Ran, everyone becomes exhausted except for Ran, who has just woken up from her nap.

Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys are lucky enough to get a chance to attend a friendly soccer match between Kawasaki Frontale and FC Tokyo to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the J League. After the match begins, the boys go to the stands with Agasa, and there they accidentally meet Sanada. However, their conversation is soon interrupted when they notice an unusually empty stand and a spectator who is not watching the game. Sato and Takagi, after receiving the call, with Takagi confirming his identity beforehand, head to the stadium to investigate. Meanwhile, Conan's group continues to track down the suspect, and from there discovers a revenge plot aimed at the person who previously arrested them.

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan encounter a cluster of men disputing in the hospital. They all belong to a company named Aizawa Foods. The president of the company is Kenzo Aizawa, and they are Ryoichi, the eldest son of the president, and Reiji, the second son of the president. With the addition of Masaru Bando, who serves as managing director. They are being kept calm. The reason for their argument seems to be that their father, Kenzo, was sent to the operating room. The three of them explain to Kogoro that Kenzo fell into the refrigerated warehouse. At the same time, the surgery is finished, and everyone approaches him to ask about his condition. Strangely, he only claims that he is far too tired and just dozes off. But Conan perceives a sense of incongruity in Kenzo's words.

The reason Kazuha knows this place is because Heiji was watching the shrine on his phone, this makes Conan believe that Heiji must have arrived at the place. Since Heiji could not reveal himself too soon, Conan gives him the voice-changing bowtie after teasing him with it, just as when Ran and Kazuha notice the boy talking to someone, whom Kazuha mistakes for Komoto Hyoga as he is perceived to be desperate for the love amulet. Speaking of amulets, the girls recall that when they were buying these amulets, they saw a man talking about how miraculous the shrine was when he found three people. However, a scream is heard and the four find the man mentioned earlier dead after rushing to where the scream comes from. The dead person is a police officer who happened to catch three people from three different cases. First appearance of Hyouga Koumoto. FBI headquarters orders a lot of their agents to go out of Japan. Heiji plans to buy a love knot charm so that he can confess to Kazuha. ​Heiji Hattori secretly arrived at the Haido shrine. 1) Conan recalls that Camel told everyone at Kudo’s residence about Rum’s identity and physical attributes after being saved by him and Akai, and wonders who can he ask to know more about Rum. 2) Flashback of Heiji's failed attempts to confess to Kazuha.

Before Jupita's encounter with the robbery thief, Jupita phoned and said that Suria had come to another city; accordingly, Conan begins to investigate the reason Jupita lied about coming to Beika.

Conan and the Detective Boys arrive at a newly opened candy store. Chindon-ya is playing, and plums are handed out, perhaps in celebration. The two get into a fight, and Conan decides to go home alone. In addition, on the stairs where Nezu seems to have fallen, there is a screaming Keiko Yuki and the body of her husband, Hideto Yuki, the president of an IT company. When Conan heads down the main street to hunt down the criminal, he finds a young man in a "black suit".

Haibara is haunted by memories of the Black Organization when a mysterious encounter at Teitan Elementary leads to an unexpected connection to her past. While the Detective Boys visit their school to check on a rabbit, they run into former classmates of Akemi Miyano—Haibara's sister—who recognize her as Shiho. The classmates are searching for a time capsule that Akemi buried years ago, said to contain a personal message for her younger sister. Conan and the others join in, using cryptic clues to unravel the mystery, determined to uncover Akemi’s message before anyone else does. Rumi Wakasa finds out that Haibara is Shiho Miyano in a shrunken state.   Akemi Miyano attended Teitan Elementary School in the past.

Continuing their search, the group follows cryptic clues hidden around the school, gradually uncovering a coded message left by Akemi. Conan, suspecting something deeper, pieces together the true hiding place from a clue referencing Akemi’s time as a librarian. Realizing the time capsule was hidden in the animal shed, Conan races ahead—just in time to confront someone with suspicious intentions. Professor Agasa tells Conan that he knows Haibara's father, who praised some of his inventions. For him, Haibara's father is a polite man, whereas he is opposed to his wife.   Conan asks Professor Agasa about the news about Mr. Itakura's diary relating Tequila (surviving from Episode 311) but not much is known.

When he and Conan go to ask the company where he works, a receptionist named Junko Kasai says that he had quitted his job six months ago, though he was said to be dedicated to it. Moreover, it seems that Takako controls him very strictly as well. Will Conan solve the mystery of her missing husband's money flow?

The police officer there, who is on patrol for burglaries, warns Katsumi to pay attention. After hearing this, Conan and others decide to investigate the matter.

Because he had a pimple on his head, he knew it was someone else’s blood. So he wondered if he had done something big, so he came to ask for help. Although it was thought that there were no clues, Conan finds clues from the smell of alcohol in his body.

Agasa and Conan are on their way to Kanagawa to try out some food with Ran, Sonoko, and Kogoro at a French restaurant, whose owner happens to be a fan of the Sleeping Kogoro, when the two are pulled over by a policewoman for speeding. After giving Agasa instruction and a fine ticket, the policewoman looks at Conan and smiles before she leaves, which makes Conan question himself if he’s ever met her before. In the bathroom of the restaurant, Agasa happens to meet a safe company director whose appearance looks identical to him, Kinji Nanjou. The professor is asked by the director to act as a body double to him, without the two acknowledging the upcoming kidnap that is going to happen. Conan, who happens to figure that Agasa is abducted when following the two people, with one having thought to be Nanjou, alerts the others while he pursues the kidnappers. Noticing the follower behind, the kidnappers proceed to show the boy that the game of chasing, and the game of his life as well, is over. Fortunately, the mysterious policewoman from the beginning of the story, later introduced as Chihaya Hagiwara, appears in time to rescue the boy. The two continue their pursuit, despite the increasing odds, and Conan's determination reminds Chihaya of her deceased younger brother.

Despite setting up a roadblock, the kidnappers somehow manage to get through. However, one of the drivers who passed the roadblock that Chihaya and Conan are stopping at left a question to the police on that roadblock if there was an event going on, as the driver had seen a person buying 20 bottles of tea, and an umbrella for unknown reason. Conan is able to figure that the kidnappers used the aforementioned items to change the color of the car. But they have to hurry, as there is news of the real director being arrested. Shinobu Ooe is introduced. Jugo blushes when Chihaya teases him. Chihaya recalls her moments with Kenji Hagiwara and Jinpei Matsuda. Chihaya knows Conan from the serial bombing case.

Three hours ago, the Mouri family received a request from Eriko Nemoto to investigate the 20 million yen of her husband who passed away 3 months ago. They start by looking for the 20 million yen robberies that happened 3-6 months ago that are currently unsolved, and they come to each scene to question the victims involved. Conan eventually finds out the truth, but Kogoro's haste is always the reason why he has to put him to sleep.

Kogoro is invited to a wine appreciation party by Shiratori. While there, Conan witnesses an argument between two men and sees one attack the other. When he finally arrives at the crime scene, there is no sign of the attacked man. The other man is obviously hiding something, but Conan cannot seem to find proof. After finding a reason to trick people into entering the cellar, they find the victim unconscious and the culprit is arrested.

Kaito Kid (who disguised as a mysterious man) dismisses Amuro's card trick as child play in order to provoke Conan, but accidentally gets Amuro so excited that he calls Kazami, who is attending a event involving Yoko Okino. During the exhibition, when paint is sprayed thickly from the chimney, Kid steals the Queen's Bang. Conan assumes that Kid could only be disguised as one of the three people who were not wearing masks at the time: Amuro, Kazami, and Azusa. Heist: Queen's Bangs
