Saitoh (斉藤 Saitō?), commonly referred to as Detective Saitoh (斉藤刑事 Saitō-keiji?), is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background

Saitoh is a detective (刑事 keiji?) from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Division One Investigations. He loves Detective Sato and thus jealous of Detective Takagi, much often to boycott along with all his colleagues their dates. Superintendent Matsumoto puts always awe to him.

He meets Conan Edogawa in several cases and his great deduction impresses him only during Detective Takagi's kidnapping, but Conan justifies himself saying which, when he consulted Shinichi Kudo earlier on the phone, that's what he told him.[2]

He finds the special pasta made by Azusa Enomoto really delicious, so he has been coming to Café Poirot a lot recently.[3]
