To get an eastern grip, pretend you're shaking hands with the racket. For the western one, it's like picking it up off the floor. I don't know if this was what you were looking for, but I tried... ^.^; And don't quote me on this. I just got this from Prince of Tennis and Wikipedia.

Here's my explanation: Eastern grip has the racket facing downwards, which makes the ball much lower (much safer than Western grip), but the chances of it going over the net decrease and the force at which the ball is hit is usually less. It's more commonly used by, well, Easterners. Western grip has the racket completely straight. It's much better for attack (while Eastern is more for defense) but the chances of the ball going out increase. Most people try to aim for somewhere in the middle. A good idea if you use Western grip is to try to get the ball to have “top-spin”, as it is called by my coach, which makes the ball spin forwards. It's a really safe method if you do it right, because the ball tends to go in the court, even if it seems like it's gonna go out. It bounces fairly high and can also catch people by surprise. Slice is also fun to use, but you'll probably learn that later on. Then I screamed I HATE YOU and killed it a few minutes later. Also, I finally forced the disgusting tooth out of my younger sister's mouth. It bothered me for so long, but now her two missing front teeth hardly look any better. Emotionally stable for the most part since last night (ha, that could sound messed up..) Anyway. School work. And it's hot outside. And I hate spiders.

But I'm not worried. Moho doesn't know how old I am, how tall I am, how I look, or when I'm coming. His chances of catching me...or even seeing me are less than my chances of falling in love. Which means it's an approximate: 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%. I went to sleep early yesterday so I could get up early today. Now I have no idea what to do. For some reason, I feel like I'm being watched by somebody or something. Probably just my paranoid self.
