|summary=On Yakushima Island, a group of tourists led by Ryoya Kitabeppu discover a dead corpse under the ancient Jomon Cedar tree, the victim is Yoshimi Hidaka. Two weeks later, the Mouri’s family arrives at the Yakushima island as Kogoro receives the request of Yoshimi’s father Taisei to find the murderer out of the four suspect: Kitabeppu, her ex-fiancé Taro Tsukada, and two childhood friends Kasumi Kokusho and Yuji Yamamoto. The case would develop on the next day when one of the suspects, Kokusho, falls off a cliff after seeing what is according to the Mouri’s family and Kitabeppu, a yamahime. Legend has it that if you see a yamahime, you must smile, or else it will drain all the blood out of you. It seems that this case is now as mysterious as the legend itself.

Two weeks later, Kogoro, Conan, and Ran arrive at Yakushima island per Taisei Hidaka's request to investigate who murdered Yoshimi, his daughter. Taisei believes his daughter was murdered by either one of the four: Kitabeppu, her ex-fiancé Taro Tsukada, and two of her childhood friends Kasumi Kokusho and Yuji Yamamoto. The case develops on the next day when the three are travelling under Kitabeppu’s guidance, as they see Kokusho falling off a cliff after she encounters, what the four believe to be, a yamahine. |summary=Inspector Megure, having known [[Detective Sawatari]]’s family well since he is one of Megure’s subordinates, saw him eating with another woman. He also knew that Sawatari is not having any case at the moment, so he is concerned about his subordinate’s current mindset. A dashcam from one of Unit 3 patrol cars also caught Sawatari visiting a jewelry store and its nearest flower shop, which makes Megure believe in the theory that his subordinate is actually cheating on his wife. However, Conan thinks otherwise as Sawatari’s behavior in the jewelry store is not that of a normal customer, so he and Ran decide to go to the store to check out… In addition, he also asks her to check what bouquet Sawatari bought and [[Koji Sametani|whom]] he bought for.

Meanwhile, Conan reveals the trick used for the burning flower bed and the student responsible for this, which also let us know about why the student caused that fire. The principal, after giving the students responsible for the incident a punishment, reminds everyone to quickly prepare for that subject, and Kobayashi reveals an interesting tweak that resolves the issue that led to the burning flower bed. Still, the kids split into two groups to investigate on their own, and the clues they find seem to point to an embezzlement performed by someone in the company Shiori worked for.
