1. Someone's due for another round of Spider mansion, Mermaid, and Heiji and Kazuha captured by an evil lawyer cases.
2. I am pretty damn sure Gosho went that route with the telomerase adding enzyme. The only reason a lay person would put something like that in their fantastic immortality recipe is if they wanted cells to stay in a youthful state forever. Think about it, someone who isn't sciencey reads that cells start with a long length of telomeres and that every time it divides, the telomeres get shorter until the cell can't divide anymore which means it gets old (senesces) and dies. The logical thing would be to keep adding telomerase to keep the telomeres long so the cell stays young forever. That explanation obviously makes sense to some people because what else would explain all the telomerase supplements I see sold online? Edit: fixed telomerase per Kyuu It takes a lot more reading and knowledge to understand uninhibited telomerase is a ticket to fun times with cancer, and for all his clever cases, I don't think Gosho knows or cares enough to make it more believable. APTX and the cure are pretty much macGuffins, Conan and Ai are trying to get them, but it doesn't really matter what they are made of as long as they do what they are supposed to -- APTX could be extract of anti-Pandora, a cocktail of enzymes, a pill of distorted time, or Gin's distilled urine. All Gosho needs to do is add a thin veneer of science, because no one cares about the technical details of what Haibara is doing in Agasa's basement.
3. I'm looking for the episode where Haibara and Conan are talking together in their classroom. Haibara says she doesn't belong in this place, and Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko overhear and point out the desk that is hers saying "that desk belongs to you", and then then go in turn and say something like "I sit here", "this one is mine", and so on.
4. JodiexAkai is my favorite- troubled, unknown if it will work out and thus interesting plotwise, has potential for face slapping when Okiya comes out of the closet disguise.
5. You should post your reasons in the thread so everyone can read them. In any case, James Black has an alibi among many other reasons he isn't the boss. Also, are you saying James Black and Gin are the same person? They appeared at the same time, James in the car parked below the Detective Agency, and Gin being turned into swiss cheese by Akai on the roof of the adjacent building. ----- Also, a secret modern day criminal organization of Nazis doing diabolical research? Funny, I swear I've heard this plot somewhere else before... I sure hope not. Also, wouldn't the German equivalent of the FBI or CIA want to be involved?
6. I don't think any slipper switching happened because I think the wife dumped poison on the door handle to try to kill the son which explains the creepy laughter and general unconcern. The only reason why there would be switching in my explanation is if the wife asked the secretary to kill the son with poison and then the sec betrayed the wife in order to implicate her. I didn't see any signs of collusion, no glances or strange things said, so I'm thinking they didn't collaborate. That's what I've heard. Along the same lines, toilets and showers may be in different rooms because of the human waste dirtiness taboo.
7. There are two episodes I can think of, both AOs The Day Kogoro Mouri Ceased Being a Detective (540-541) The 14th Round of the Matsue Tamatsukuri Linked Verse Contest (255-256)
8. This is all pretty interesting because over on the German Forums, Shiina received the most suspicion after the latest file because of the fact he opened the tea opposite of everyone else and drank the tea with his left hand. There's a few things, Detective Kudo and Miwako Smiles, that I hope you will clear up for me. Why did the maid send the letter to Hattori? Did she know who the culprits were at the time? Did she know at the time when she sent the letter that Hattori was going to pay a visit to the main house the night the murders happened? Who sprinkled poison on the doorknob? What was the goal of the person doing this? Depending on your answer, would you also explain how the slippers were switched? If Housekeeper Yonehara sprinkled the poison on the doorknob, why did she also use the Jastrow illusion trick to poison Ikurou? If so why did she point out Ikurou took the far cake piece? How did the maid know Serika was going to use the dictionary in the Mac room, or was there another source of poison? What did Hattori and Conan notice at the end?
9. As you said right after, once Sherry betrayed once, the boss can't count on her not to sabotage something in revenge. That's why they decided to kill her in the first place. The Black Organization may be trying to replace Sherry and there is blackmail/other stuff we haven't heard about going on in the background (and we haven't heard about any pharma/biochem cases yet), but it is hard to find a genius scientist (one who will work for a sketchy Org especially!), and more work still for that person to come in, read all of Sherry and her parents' notes, understand the strategies, figure out what is going on, and pick up where she left off. In real life, if the main head of a lab dies (or even someone important) without leaving someone else who can take their place, it usually takes half a year to years even for the lab to really gets back up to full speed. Assuming the BO is rushing, they are probably still way behind on their research. Maybe they could make more of the same APTX because Sherry already had the recipe down but refining APTX is probably out of the question until they can train someone intelligent to understand things as deeply as Sherry did which as I mentioned will take time. Also, any new options you want to see on the polls or a different first question? I was thinking a new question along the line of "Do you think there are/were other biochemistry projects besides APTX? 4969?" and enabling Multivote on the final question.
10. Yep. specifically, I'm implicating the Secretary for both the murders of Ikurou and Serika, but the housekeeper for sending the note to Heiji. I detailed my third version of the solution already.
11. Interesting. You're implicating the housekeeper, and I'm blaming the secretary. We can have a deduction showdown, East versus West! Since you're Kudo, I'll take Heiji.
12. It's spring/summer right now because the characters follow the real life seasons. That said, we are approaching the fated file 800. BO have appeared on the dot for 500, 600, and 700. I think we have a pretty good chance for the end of the Bourbon arc at file 800 because we have all the necessary stuff (Ran's suspicion driven by Sera, Bourbon's plot). 800 will be due this fall/winter most likely counting breaks and such, also matching up with BO appearances in the cold season.
13. Also, make sure it's not too big! If you want to have a large picture or a big space, please put it in a spoiler box by using:

14. I saw that ghost status.

15. Nope that was beef stew, well the onions for it. (Anime ep 571-572, Battle of the Haunted Warehouse's Treasure)
16. A new member I can drag into my Okiya is Akai moshpit... Join us, and you will gain power beyond you wildest dreams ... and delicious beef stew!
17. There really isn't any word other than me dragging more people into my Okiya is Akai moshpit. That and while stalking people I discovered for some reason we have several usernames who are named "*insert celebrity here* nude". I'm too afraid to click. Also why are so many people looking at them?

18. http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/images/b/bb/Okiya_Akai_Face_Compare.jpg

Don't worry one day you will think Akai is Okiya too. I get everyone eventually >:)

19. No I didn't copy the whole thread. I only counted each of those main posts about the Boss, certain characters, etc. and then all the texts in those links in the last post (Okiya is Akai and all). I didn't copy anyone else's posts or my replies to anyone else.

20. *stalks your every move using the Online Users function*

21. Hello. Welcome to DCW, I hope you enjoy posting and exploring the wiki and fun things like that.

Wait Akai becomes Shuuichi? His name is Akai Shuuichi after all, so he was Shuuichi to start with, even before he became Okiya.

22. Stopping by, saying hi.

23. Your post in Ran vs. Haibara inspired me to do a word count of that speculations document I keep at DCTP. The finally tally was ≈44000 words not counting no anime spoilers posts or original posts. I'm nuts. :P

24. Some of these have been resolved already. This was Vermouth. The reason why her face was not shown was because she was in disguise as Sharon at the time (1 year ago). Sharon hadn't officially been revealed to be Vermouth until the end of the Vermouth arc. I think it was a cute hint for the readers from Gosho. The boss wouldn't let a spy in the Organization if he knew about it. Also if you are suggesting Gin's black and black mix lines mean he got Vermouth pregnant, maybe that's the cause behind the "cat noises" (i.e. baby noises mistaken for cat noises) one year ago? It doesn't have to be recent. Although I would think the news would report that Sharon Vineyard looked pregnant, unless she took a hiatus for 6 months or so. Also you owe me a new keyboard because I imagined Gin trying to feed a baby and then getting spit up on. Gin would be the worst father ever. Maybe he just orders Vodka to take care of the kid.
