Season 31

The thirty-one season of the Detective Conan anime consists of the episodes aired in the year 2026.

It begun airing in January 3, 2026 and it is currently airing with a total of 20 episodes. There are currently 5 manga-adapted episodes and 15 anime-original episodes.

It marks the 30th anniversary of the Detective Conan anime, and there are commemorative specials done for the occasion. Starting with the second adaptation of Aquarium Murder Case^{(ch 882-884)}, Episode "ZERO" The Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Case^{(ep 1187)}.

Shinichi and Ran are having their conversation in the middle of their outing at the Beika Aquarium when a man is found dead due to a fatal stab to his heart. Megure and his subordinates arrive at the scene, and are speechless at how Shinichi is able to carry out the investigation by himself. Shinichi narrows the suspects down, and finally, solves the case with ease. After some unfortunate events following this case, Ran loses her new phone down the sewer, prompting Shinichi to promise Ran that they would go to Tropical Land. This leads us into scenes where Shinichi is seen scouting Tropical Land, looking for the best things to do for his promise to Ran. But they'd never get to enjoy their entire outing... Conan and Kogoro end up being honourable guests of a special event held in Furai city following a nomination of someone claiming themselves to be none other than Inspector Megure. However, Megure denies any knowledge of this when asked by Conan as Kogoro. In addition, Megure also tells about the recent serial jewelry robberies with no sign of being sold domestically, and a robbery just happens today with an alarming level of amateurism, as the thieves were caught so easily that it makes Megure wonder if someone wants to toy with the police. Soon, Conan is able to figure out that the whole things that happened to him, Kogoro, and Megure are not an actual joke, but a premeditated plot regarding the stolen jewelry.

Kogoro's client today is the apprentice of a master clockmaker. The client, Ryota Tanno, was sent a threatening message, but what may be more threatening is that his master was found dead this morning at a nearby lake by Agasa and Haibara. Rumors suggest that this master, Masato Furubuchi did not have the best of relationships with his apprentices. This mystery will soon reveal itself to, in fact, include two clashing alibis, deduced by the great detective and paralleled by...the great detective's fan who handcuffed Kogoro and Tanno together?!

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are arriving at the ryokan of the Misasa hot spring when they see Yasuto Utsubuki and Sachiyo Yumemiya talking about their parents not allowing the two to be married. At the Yumemiya Ryokan, the family notices the woman they met earlier when she was upset about the parents is one of the waitresses of the ryokan. They also meet the two Kurayoshi officers that they have met in a past case, as the duo are celebrating the capture of a serial bag snatcher last week. Conan happens to discover that some other people do have conflict with the Acting proprietress of Yumemiya Inn, Kazuko Yumemiya, with their own matters. The situation gets gradually worse, as Sachiyo ends up being kidnapped for ransom after attempting to hide in the warehouse of the Misasa Violin Museum for a while.

Yasuto points out that even though Sachiyo can be stubborn, she will never blame someone for her ordeal, suggesting a possibility that the kidnapping is staged. However, it turns out that Sachiyo happened to know where she was kept, and used the anomalies as a method to inform everyone about her current location. At the end of the episode, Ran is hanging a board that includes her wish to be at Pont Kotani together with Shinichi. Conan smiles because the wish has already been made.

Agasa and Conan are on their way to Kanagawa to try out some food with Ran, Sonoko, and Kogoro at a French restaurant, whose owner happens to be a fan of the Sleeping Kogoro, when the two are pulled over by a policewoman for speeding. After giving Agasa instruction and a fine ticket, the policewoman looks at Conan and smiles before she leaves, which makes Conan question himself if he’s ever met her before. In the bathroom of the restaurant, Agasa happens to meet a safe company director whose appearance looks identical to him, Kinji Nanjou. The professor is asked by the director to act as a body double to him, without the two acknowledging the upcoming kidnap that is going to happen. Conan, who happens to figure that Agasa is abducted when following the two people, with one having thought to be Nanjou, alerts the others while he pursues the kidnappers. Noticing the follower behind, the kidnappers proceed to show the boy that the game of chasing, and the game of his life as well, is over. Fortunately, the mysterious policewoman from the beginning of the story, later introduced as Chihaya Hagiwara, appears in time to rescue the boy. The two continue their pursuit, despite the increasing odds, and Conan's determination reminds Chihaya of her deceased younger brother.

Despite setting up a roadblock, the kidnappers somehow manage to get through. However, one of the drivers that passed the roadblock, which Chihaya and Conan are stopping at, left a question to the police on that roadblock if there was an event going on, as the driver had seen a person buying 20 bottles of tea, and an umbrella for unknown reason. Conan is able to figure that the kidnappers used the aforementioned items to change the color of the car. But they have to hurry, as there is news of the real director being arrested. Shinobu Ooe is introduced. Jugo blushes when Chihaya teases him. Chihaya recalls her moments with Kenji Hagiwara and Jinpei Matsuda. Chihaya knows Conan from the serial bombing case.

The Mouri family is at a restaurant that they don’t know is having a matchmaking party today, and they have to go somewhere else to eat because the restaurant is full, not knowing that Kogoro has dropped his key. When they return to the restaurant to look for the key, there is a scream from inside the building, and in addition to the body of Anju Tomari, one of the two girls who had caught the eye of many people at that party, they also meet Chihaya and Inspector Jugo Yokomizo. Jugo unexpectedly meets Chihaya at a masquerade matchmaking party.

The police begin questioning the suspects who had talked to the victim and Chihaya. In addition, after being shown a paper recording the victim's first impressions of the suspects, Conan finally knows who the culprit was. After seeing Takagi try to prevent a suicide by grabbing a knife, Chihaya remembers the moment when Matsuda also did the same thing.

Jirokichi receives advice from his newest collaborator Saguru Hakuba for his next encounter with Kaitou Kid, so he has Kichida Manufacturing build the exhibition room in the sky. The wall separating the room and the corridor has three lines that change their color randomly, but are always aligned with the color panel attached to the only camera of the corridor to ensure no one can bypass by hacking the camera. However, as Conan figures out the way Kid bypasses the system and rushes to the room, he finds a terrified Kaitou Kid with the corpse of Kichida Manufacturing president, Yotaro Kichida, in the Azure Throne. The two eventually reach an agreement: To prove Kid’s innocence, he will have to disguise as Shinichi Kudo to repeat what Conan tells him to. Heist: The Azure Throne

As the forensic report about the victim is informed by Takagi, who got late due to heavy traffic, both Conan and Hakuba figure the way the culprit can conceal the death of Yotaro Kichida for some time before Kid became the first witness. Ironically enough, one of the steps used to commit the crime is used by Hakuba to carry Shinichi to the police station, as he had already known he was Kid in disguise. Ran also learns about this, but how? Ran is distressed upon realizing that Shinichi is actually Kaitou Kid in disguise, and that Kid could have said such words to her. However, Hakuba reassures her that the words must have been from Shinichi because of Conan’s decision to help Kid prove his innocence. Heist: The Azure Throne

Kogoro Mouri was hyped when he saw Yoko Okino covering the Spiral Mansion on TV, so he is taking Conan and Ran to the location today. At the mansion, the curator Kaoru Neji appears to introduce the three about Kyu’s contribution to conceptual art and his currently-displayed-one. Then, an art magazine editor Kazumi Hayase arrives to have a meeting with Neji and several members of the Tsurufuji family to discuss the publication fee of Kyu’s art. Even though Kyu’s daughter Maimai agrees with the price, her brother Sensuke and sister-in-laws Yoko Tsurufuji refuse due to financial difficulties. Not long after, Sensuke is found dead inside the restroom of the floor that held the meeting. At first, the police suspicion led to Maimai, as she had the opposite opinion about the fee, but her husband Satoshi Omagari comes in and reassures that she is innocent. However, he became the next victim, as he was found dead at the stream near the mansion.

Maimai is genuinely heartbroken upon hearing the news since she was at her studio the time both of the murder occurred. However, another heartbreaking news strikes her: Her husband has been selling her father’s art using his sketch as a way to hide it from everyone else. After Maimai’s ordeal, Conan notices how the fixed windows are clean, so he asks Neji how they can keep them clean. Neji explains that the cleaners drop themselves down via a rope that is attached to the rooftop of the building. She then asks Conan if she can make his discovery at part one public, but before he can properly answer, he notices someone dropping a brick to kill either of him or Neji. After Conan feels that she is fine, he rushes to the rooftop of the building, only to find a rope that is long enough to reach the ground...

Over the past month, there have been four purse-snatching incidents caused by a pair of thieves in a motorcycle. At the park that is near to a construction site and has rumour of Kamen Yaiba secretly training, Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys are talking to Takeshi Fujimiya, the cosplayer behind the aforementioned outfit, when a person in their motorcycle is attempting to snatch the purse of a man. At first, there is no link between the fourth and the assumed fifth incident. However, as Conan gets details about the fourth incident from Takagi and the schedule of… things that have happened since the day after the fourth purse-snatching, he finds the link between the two. Sato gets jealous because of Takagi's thought and decides to put him in the interrogation room after they finish with the purse-snatching case. The Detective Boys appear. When Takaki is complaining that he and Sato have to support the purse-snatching case despite just finishing a big case, he recalls the moment with Chihaya since the culprit of the purse-snatching case rode the motorcycle.

Yesterday, in the prom held at Daigo's residence, the inheritance of Daigo conglomerate Yu Daigo was captivated by the beauty of an unknown girl. Yu then asks the Great Detective Mouri Kogoro to help him find the girl, with Conan tagging along. Even though the girl stole Yu's watch inherited from his father, he insists that the girl did it involuntarily by her evil mother and sister, like what was told in Cinderella.

A missing case always leads to either of these conclusions: That the victim was caught in an incident or they went away on their own. The disappearance of Shinsuke Sugamo, Machiko’s wife, is no exception, as he ran away in guilt when he couldn’t find a job opportunity. However, there is one problem: The Silver Detectives investigation on the incident route leads them to Tadao Yuge, whom Shinsuke argued with three months ago; and when they dug up Yuge's property to see if Yuge murdered the poor guy, they found a skeleton.

Kogoro Mouri was hired by Nami Tomishige to capture the one responsible for multiple package theft that happened in the complex she lives in, so Conan and Ran come to assist him as usual. The plan quickly fails as Kogoro has mistaken a leaf blown by the wind with a bug, forcing Ran to help him and leave Conan alone to follow the culprit as he catches it red-handed. Surprisingly, the culprit Nobuhiro Taninaka is found dead inside his room with packages stolen from his neighbours.

Yoshiaki Kamata was found dead with a stab wound on his back. The Mouri family arrive at the scene following Takagi’s request to check if the testimony of the suspects are true or not. This is because each of them admitted to the police that they had killed the victim on their own, but could not describe how they committed the murder. Conan asks Ran if it is okay to lie to protect someone. She answers: If she has to lie, she prefers the kind of lie that is gentle and does not hurt anyone.

A famous magician hires Kogoro to keep watch on his staff members, as he believes one of them may be out to kill him. For his first act, he lies on a bed of spikes, and is slammed with another, which has Conan and Kogoro worried until he's revealed to be alive. The next trick does not go so well, and he ends up trapped in a water tank where the entrance has been sealed. By the time it's open and he's rescued, it's too late, and one of his workers is responsible.

Kogoro and Conan were shopping at a supermarket when they heard a police siren. The police received a call from Chinatsu Tachibana telling that the chairman of Dan Juro Food, Juro Dan, was murdered by an arrow. At first, since Juro taught both of his two sons about archery, and the two kids appeared to be lying, Kogoro is convinced that either of them is the culprit. However, from the test that Kogoro suggested between the time he arrived and the time he gave his conclusion, Conan sees something that no one else would be bothered by.

This is a crossover with the Star Detective Precure! anime series. Recently, there have been four thefts caused by the notorious Santos Thieves’ Guild, known for using distinguished disguises in every of their crimes, with the most recent one disguising themselves as Kaitou Kid. Their next target is the Pum-pum-pum-pum-pumpkin, which just happens to be at the Kaneko Jewelry Store, so Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys decide to take turns guarding the area each day. On the third day guarding, Genta and Ayumi spot a woman taking pictures in the Kaneko Jewelry Store, and decide to contact Conan before following the woman. Eventually, they arrive at the warehouse used as the hideout for the whole guild, and the police also arrive to apprehend the criminals. However, the kids realize that the criminals caught just now are probably bait, since the woman is not seen within the captured criminals while the costumes inside the warehouse felt too obvious for professionals. The Detective Boys appear. Kaitou Kid disguises himself as Anna Akechi in her Pretty Cure battle outfit to warn the thieves about copyright infringement.

At dusk, at the cabin in the mountain, Conan and Sonoko decide to go around the woods to pick wild vegetables, while leaving Ran at home to cook the dinner as Sonoko has just frightened the poor girl with recent rumours of Hannya. Ironically, when the duo are returning from the short-lasting vegetables searching, they happen to encounter Hannya burying a corpse, so they begin running for their lives.

News: Some time ago, the police caught a murderer that took one finger from their victims as trophies. Even though they plead to their crimes, they did not reveal whether they had accomplices or not. Azusa and Conan were in a hostage situation involving details implying that the culprits are the accomplice of that bizarre murderer. Once Azusa wakes up and notices the signal of Conan's detective badge, she answers and it turns out that Ran uses the spare badge from Conan's room. From there, Ran, Sonoko, Masumi, and Rei must use the conversation Azusa had with the mask wearing customers and Azusa's confirmation that one of the kidnappers is one of the mask wearing customers. When Conan mentions a store near Shinichi's house, Amuro is surprised and comments on Conan's familiarity with the area around Shinichi's house.

Conan reveals to Azusa that he has woken up for a while, but pretends not to be so as to assess the situation. He guarantees that both will be safe, but they just need to get out and resolve some misunderstandings. On the other hand, Rei, Masumi figure out why Azusa was kidnapped, as it might be just a misunderstanding between that person and someone's words about Azusa. First appearance of Reita Kanamaru and the Mysterious Old Woman. Masumi warns Conan about Amuro stalking him.
