<spoiler>The culprit is '''Shunichi Morishita'''. The first big clue was the paint smudges on his shirt. The smudge colors on his shirt didn't match the colors of his robots used in the diorama, which used very vivid colors. Morishita reveals that Kitajima was using him. His mother was sick and borrowed money from Kitajima. But because of Kitajima's outrageous interest, Morishita's debt inflated and couldn't repay it. As for the weapon, it is a knife painted in natural light green.


In the end, the Detective Boys, Haibara, and Professor Agasa both stacked the toy models to Conan to keep, much to his dismay. This reminded a similar scene in [[The Big Investigation of the Nine Doors]].</spoiler>
