Situation
The case first starts in an office where two suspicious men are gambling and watching results on a computer. The first man says :" They are taking it in right from the start." and the other replies by the affirmative. That first man continues by telling "The Japanese will understand what gambling is all about." As they watch results, the game then comes at 8-2. The second man ask if they shoud proceed with buying and the first man says that it is being taken care of.

After this scene, the boss of the J League is talking to one of his employee Yasuaki Iwasada telling that Japan performance at the World Cup was disappointing with in background a poster of all-star J-League players written "The Second Half of the J League Starts Now!!".

- The J League staff employee Yasuaki Iwasada was probably named after one of the voice actors, the one who voices the Media in the stadium, Kazuaki Iwasada.
- This is the second filler to reference Movie 16, after Episode 742.
- This is the first filler where Jodie Starling, James Black and Andre Camel make an appearance.
- Endo, a popular football player in Japan, reprised his own role from Movie 16.
- The licensed water bottles from the J League feature Hide and Naoki Uemura.
- Kogoro Mouri wears the Jersey number 556 which contrasts with the other player's shirt composed of one or two digits.
