machine Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 OMM: I'll never understand all the hate skim milk gets
Kenzi Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 OMM: I'll never understand all the hate skim milk gets I don't like skim milk because it tastes too artificial. But I don't like whole milk either because it leaves a weird aftertaste in my mouth. I managed to find a good balance though thank goodness for 2%

You get used to it after a while. I'm not a fan of whole or 2% though OMM: "dentist charged in death of patient who died while having 20 teeth pulled" ...please tell me what I can do to never have to have 20 teeth pulled

I'm not a fan of whole or 2% though lol, in my defense, I've never tried 1% before, but I'll give it a shot next time. skim is still better than whole in my opinion. but I still don't really like it. kinda sucks that my dad prefers whole milk above all else though. haha, what makes 1% so different from 2%?

I haven't had 2% actually (my house only ever has 1% and occasionally almond milk) but I imagine it'd be thicker than skim milk but not as thick as 2% ....???
Kitty Paw Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 Ugh, can't get this freakin' song outta my head
Kenzi Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 I haven't had 2% actually (my house only ever has 1% and occasionally almond milk) but I imagine it'd be thicker than skim milk but not as thick as 2% ....??? I think 2% is a perfect balance between whole and skim milk. But I guess I'll find out after trying 1% next time, haha. Almond milk is also good. It has this nice, creamy/viscous feel to it, but I still think good ol' classic milk is better. well, actually almond milk is only good by itself. it doesn't go very well with stuff like cereal, in my opinion.

Almond milk is pretty good though it does pale in comparison to the real thing. It's not a bad alternative though. It's alright with cereal though I generally don't like putting milk in my cereal so I wouldn't be able to tell if there was a difference between reg. milk and almond milk with cereal. (And the type of cereal you have probably plays a factor)

(And the type of cereal you have probably plays a factor) It's funny how everyone advocates how much healthier almond milk is compared to the real deal, lol. I never really trusted it, but even if it is true, regular milk > almond milk I've tried both with the same cereal before, and I can attest that regular milk is still better than almond milk.

How much (almond) milk do those people consume that they actually care how healthy it is? haha And I'll take your word for it haha u_u

machine Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 I know right? Those health nuts, I'm telling you, haha. I'll never understand those super health conscious people. I get that it's like a lifestyle but... how? --why?
Kenzi Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 I'll never understand those super health conscious people. I get that it's like a lifestyle but... how? --why? I understand the why. I just can't understand the how. I think exercise compensates for this though. I'm usually pretty energetic most of the time (when not sleep-deprived) since I play tennis weekly, lol. Gosh, I just can't stand the idea of a diet or a lifestyle that restricts me to eating only certain foods. Geez, these people must be insane. One does not simply dismiss food. One must experience food.

Kitty Paw Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 Huh, I've been on DCW a lot lately
Ryo Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 Walked out of my house today and it went something like this....

Just staying in shape by exercising sounds so much... not easier but more enjoyable. Exercise can feel effortless, but only when it's enjoyable. I absolutely love playing tennis, so this isn't an issue for me. I can't imagine myself exercising for the sake of just "staying fit" because it sounds like torture. nope, there's no way I'd sacrifice the food variety for diet. nope.
