Detective Conan series banned in Indonesia
Chekhov MacGuffin replied to Denaya Kudo's topic in Detective Conan World
It depends how the sites are configured. If it is a site located in Indonesia, it could definitely block non-Indonesian IPs. Outside of Indonesia, there aren't that many sites that block Indonesian IPs because there is no need to. To reach them, even if they are blocked inside Indonesia, you use a proxy. I think an Indonesian proxy would also let you access the Indonesian-only game.If the Indonesian government isn't blocking all the anime websites and throwing people in jail, I think it is safe to watch the anime. Indonesia has more important things to monitor, like national security issues. They don't care about people watching foreign shows. -
File 834-840: Vampire's Mansion (NO SPOILER)
Chekhov MacGuffin replied to Black Demon's topic in Manga series
I really should have remembered she was hungry. I am kind of ashamed for missing that. Now that it is the weekend and I looked more seriously at the files, I have a hunch who the other criminal accomplice is. The coffin trick would require someone to move the body out of the bottom of it meaning they couldn't run up and appear promptly when the girls screamed, but I want to go back first and give the files a better read before making a deduction. I have messed up too often recently to do a shoddy job this time.I was expecting something a bit grander from the fridge... What am I overlooking? Also really nice edit on the Drill Page btw. -
File 834-840: Vampire's Mansion (NO SPOILER)
Chekhov MacGuffin replied to Black Demon's topic in Manga series
I read the chapter then immediately decided I was too lazy to try to plot out the family dynamics. I just can't get motivated about this case. It's not a bad case, but it is so badly placed after the excitement of the train that it feels like filler while we are waiting for the second round of Sera, Okiya, Amuro stuff to resolve the leftover plot threads. The butler knows quite a bit of information about vampires and the family dynamics which surprised me a little. He did summon Kogoro to the house which implies he is less suspicious than the others, but it wouldn't be the first time someone thought they could play a trick in front of the Sleeping Detective. I am not sure how trustworthy he is. Maybe the maid is there to investigate her mother's death? It also seems like the maid was being set up based on how she was kept around and asked to be places by the master of the house, Hakuya, but I am not sure of the status of that plan with Hakuya being dead and all. At the end, the maid was rather creepy, but I doubt she is going to jump on the girls or something like that. The maid attacking Ran and Kazuha would not be very planned and out of character with the rest of the crimes, and Gosho wouldn't show the lurking maid's identity if it was anything serious. I could be wrong though, and kind of hope so because it would be rather different to have someone go unhinged out of fear. The missing Hakuya seems to have set up all these tricks because his behavior indicated he knew about them and was testing them. As he seems rather dead now, someone else took advantage of them suggesting Hakuya has a co-conspirator or one of his relatives/staff found out the plan in advance. -

It is track 15 from the Raven Chaser (Movie 13) OST: "Black Logic". A lot of the "new" Bourbon arc Black Organization songs are from that movie. Track 12 (Grey Zone) and 13 (Opaque Fruit 1) also have appeared I think. Plug the OST and track numbers into a search engine if you want to hear them. I'm not sure if they sell the soundtrack still, I looked, but couldn't find anything official. Since your question was answered, I removed the link to the sub. Subs got the site in trouble before with lawyers, but I understand it's pretty hard to ask a question about the background music without a link for people to listen to it.

Sankei newspaper 2012.6.30 interview: http://sankei.jp.msn.com/life/news/120630/bdy12063007000000-n1.htm It was mentioned in a post by Black Demon earlier. The interview kind of got ignored in the middle of the Bourbon stuff, and there were some fakes that added details floating around that got confused with the original. The Sankei interview linked above appears to be legitimate. Only a little was about the actual story; most was about Gosho's past and development as an author. The story-relevant bits were these two lines: the first is about if DC will hit 100 Volumes, the second is about the boss. From what I can tell, the only new information is Gosho's response specified the boss's full name (フルネーム) rather than just "name". There was a translation by Mina in the DC spoiler DCbox "a person who has appeared with his/her full name" HOWEVER I think a corroboration by another skilled translator is necessary before it is safe to reject the more conservative reading "the boss's full name has appeared" - something which Gosho has said before. (subject フルネームで?)

See chapter 812 for hints It wasn't a translation error I am pretty sure, but you should assume Yuusaku's opinion is that it wasn't a murder unless you disagree with him because he messed up his deduction, is protecting the culprit, etc.

http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Eri_Kisaki_Appearances Click each case and see who appears and read the case descriptions. Kogoro doesn't appear much in her first case, but after that they almost always are together for the cases. There are some exceptions.

Thanks for doing these every week btw. I really appreciate the effort you and Black Demon put into keeping this updated.

I'm thinking Gin because I don't think Ayumi touching her would have bothered her. She was pretty agitated and only Gin would make her feel like that. I think Vermouth knew Sherry escaped since that was huge news. I am not sure she would have heard about Shinichi being APTXed by Gin and Vodka since that seemed like a pretty minor witness silencing and there was nothing in the normal news. She might have heard about the house search later when the body didn't turn up, but again that seems not too relevant to what she does.
-
I'm guessing that she figured it out after she saw Conan at the mourning party. She had been America before which means she isn't close to what is happening in Japan, and the rest of the Black Org thinks APTX 4869 at the current development stage is a death drug.

I merged this with your previous topic because they are similar. Religion isn't really mentioned much in the manga. Elements of religion are occasionally shown, usually as settings, like the characters go to a festival related to Shintoism or to a church for a wedding. Sometimes religious themes show up in the movies, like movie 12 which featured many typically Christian songs like Amazing Grace. Almost universally though religion isn't very important and is rarely talked about. Occasionally you will see throwaway lines like "God is on our side", but those are not central to any sort of plot or subplot. Homosexuality rarely comes up. I only recall one scene where it was important - a character freaked out over walking in on what he thought were two gay men making out with each other. The relevant chapters are Volume 59 file 11 (619) and Volume 60 file 1 (620). The episodes are 507-508.

File 834-840: Vampire's Mansion (NO SPOILER)
Chekhov MacGuffin replied to Black Demon's topic in Manga series
It could easily be a two way mirror, and it would be hard to tell it was when the room is bright and the space behind dark. The space behind the mirror where the body was propped up could be lit up at the correct time so the man's face is visible. I definitely think this is going to be a trick house type mystery. Conan and Heiji are already getting vibes from one of the rooms, and we have a space behind a mirror, and a fridge that won't open. I'm guessing the dead guy planned to scare everyone, but someone killed him and decided to use all his tricks against the other family members. The reason I think so is because the dead guy seems to have bought all of the strange equipment that will be needed for the tricks. The coffin trick may be the same one as some of the escape from the boxes tricks magicians use. I'll do some research to try to confirm it. For now, looking at which suspect is in the best manipulator position seems like a good idea. -
The Edogawa family isn't a real family, so adding them doesn't make much sense. The Vineyard family isn't there for the same reasons.Generally, to add pages to category pages, you have to make a new page for the family and add the category families at the bottom.

When Gosho made that comment it was published in a magazine on Friday January 13, 2006. That would put it sometime around the events of Volume 53 or 54 which is mid Kir arc. There are really too many names before this to count. The case suspects are listed in the wiki, but of course these leave out guestbook names and incidental names.

I think it is a good idea to list everything known about the boss to try to figure out who the boss could be or couldn't be, but I think you are being overly sure about some of your deductions in several of your points. All the pronouns used for the boss have been gender neutral in the original Japanese. English doesn't have gender neutral pronouns, so "he" by default is often used. It's also possible the boss's reasons for considering Vermouth to be his favorite may be because Vermouth is an old member and has those unique aging issues. That doesn't disqualify the boss from being female. I don't think this deduction is sound; "Aoyama isn't that type of person" isn't really convincing. Suppose Aoyama told her that the boss is Ai's grandfather (random example). The boss doesn't need to have appeared for Minami to know the identity of the boss if Gosho phrased the boss's identity like that. He could have also described the boss to her as well, "a boy named ____ who will join Conan's class at Teitan elementary later." (random example) How do you know Gosho was thinking that far ahead then? Maybe adding the name was something he decided to do later when he expanded the complexity of the story by adding in more Black Organization members like Vermouth and Akai? Didn't you suggest in point number two there were some alternatives, like anokata not being able to age so he could be anokata this whole time? This is only one of many explanations as to why Vermouth could be the boss's favorite, so to say they are lovers seems premature without more evidence. Gin and Vermouth were sexually involved with one another - the martini line - so I guess anokata is okay with having his lover cheating on him with one of his top agents?

You don't need clearance to edit anything on the wiki -- you just do it. The only exceptions are something like the stuff on the front page, critical templates that would break lots of things if messed up, or user's personal pages.
-
Sorry, but I'm not really that into fanworks other than art. I have also been really busy, so I am prioritizing the the wiki and the forums when I have free time.

His eyes are blue in Gosho's colored art (every character has blue eyes in Gosho's art), and seems to be dark grey or black based on the more recent anime pictures in the wiki.

That whole page needs an overhaul. Besides, this is a wiki, so you can muck up anyone else's writing as you please, so long as you make it better than before. No one "owns" the page. If you want to edit and fix it, click the edit button above.

Odd. I don't remember his birthday passing. Well, never hurts to source both numbers.

It's not a problem. People often overlook it.

The general reference thread is the one you are looking for, I think.
