  1. A ghost ship murder case and A Crab and Whale Kidnapping Case both play the song. There are probably other episodes that use it, but don't have their soundtracks listed yet on the wiki.
  2. Basic facts are not copyrightable. (i.e. name of item, price, who makes it, what it is [e.g. "minifigure"]) Low res pictures are fine fair-use wise. Descriptions of items are probably copyrightable, so those should be rewritten. As an example, let's use the three wolf moon T-shirt Three Wolf Moon Short Sleeve Tee Maker: The Mountain Price: $9.93 100% Cotton Machine washable in cold, tumble dry low, do not bleach This short-sleeve black shirt has a print on the front of three wolves howling at a romantic moon in the upper right. Cheeto dust not included. Add information according to the pre-existing format on the wiki page and you are good to go. Skyechan on the wiki might be the one to ask about this because she edits the merch pages the most.
  3. There is always the risk that people will edit or even remove info from a wiki that you wrote. In fact it is pretty expected for anything you write to get changed eventually; I don't think I have a single untouched page or paragraph because others think they can improve upon what I have written (and they are generally right about that!). Avoiding outright removal is pretty easy: don't put things in the wrong place, follow the examples of other pages, and be wary of any invisible notes left behind that show up once you try to edit a section. It would helpful to know what you are trying to do. If you are still not confident, try making your edits on your own user page and then ask where they ought to go.
  4. Ignoring recently published manga cases that aren't yet released on anime because it is too soon, then no old cases have been overlooked now. Magic Kaito has some never animated cases though.
  5. Yeah, you are right about the three woodpeckers thing. I'll edit that. I briefly looked at the spoilers for the next chapter, and I don't see any obvious conflicts with Hyoue being the culprit (but he's really one of the past suspects). The bank robber looks more likely than the childhood friend as the swap candidate I think. Am I missing something that you see?
  6. As promised a late case analysis has been posted in the spoiler section.

A quick question: how can you know the beginning and end of a season?

This question has just popped up in my head when I saw the beginning of a new season (#24).

      Thanks in advance ^_^

I don't think they really care. Unless you check the anime calendar or the DC wiki, you wouldn't know. They've ended on plenty of fillers, too.

  7. Here is what I think is going on, but take it with a grain of salt because I don't have the full evidence organized to back this yet. I am only going to cover up to 915 because I haven’t paid much attention to the spoilers. Roughly, Kuroda Hyoue is the murderer, but he isn't the actual Kuroda Hyoue. Kuroda Hyoue who got in an accident 10 years ago and put into a coma is currently dead (maybe). The real Kuroda Hyoue's body was swapped with that of the either Kansuke's childhood friend or the bank robber for reasons I don't know yet by someone I am not sure of but strongly suspect is Takeda based on the conversation with the murderer at the beginning of 913. As for evidence Kuroda Hyoue is the murderer: • Kuroda Hyoue is the best manipulation position. He orders the other police around, and they inform him of his whereabouts. I am pretty sure being able to make sure the suspects are in the right place at the right time is necessary for these murders to work. (Will work out the details of this later) He also has first access to the crime scene. • It seems strange how subdued the reaction is at the station to the murdered officers. When a police officer was suspect at the Tokyo met, it was tense from the bottom to the top of the ranks. Has Kuroda being keeping his superiors abreast of the situation? • Kuroda Hyoue seems to be letting Kansuke run around freely while suspecting him. • I am still a little fuzzy on the timeline, but I don't think he has a firm alibi for any of the crimes. I don't have any direct evidence that Kuroda Hyoue is one of the suspects from the past, but it's a pretty strong hunch based on the information we were given. The swap is possible because Hyoue's face was bandaged so that people and even the nurses weren't really clear what he looked like. It was noted that he seems really different, he also looks different, and the memory loss gives him an excuse to cover for knowledge inconstancies. It was also a point that the coroner said the two dead suspects were both criminals. The rule of no useless information seems to be standard for a lot of Gosho cases – why were we given so much info about Kuroda's hospital stay situation and how much he has changed? The rope used to hang Kano both feels weird and looks weird according to both Kansuke and Akiyama. It definitely looks weird because it was made of multiple short segments tied into loops (odd for someone doing a hanging not to use a single stretch), but that doesn’t explain the feels weird part. It occurs to me the rope might have been cut from the stretchy rope used for rehabilitating legs and knees – something Kansuke would have, use, and have his fingerprints all over. That would also explain the loops because rehabilitation ropes for legs are only so long, so you will need several segments. If Kansuke's rehabilitation ropes went missing, it would explain why he wasn't practicing that morning at the scene of the crime. Also a few other notes: Morofushi is pretending to be unfriendly with Kansuke and act like he is not Kansuke's childhood friend. I suspect this is so that so he can be trusted by Kuroda and the other suspects. I suspect the Woodpecker gang is a group of police which cooperates with thieves in exchange for bribes. They tip off gangs to upcoming investigations or help them commit crimes. I suspect the robber group mentioned earlier in this case was tipped off to the upcoming raid on their safehouse. Also I believe the woodpeckers are Akiyama, Saegusa, Kano, Takeda, and possibly the original Kuroda Hyoue, and the bank robber. The culprit who says there are three woodpeckers left probably counts Kansuke and Saegusa, but who is the last one? It might be Kuroda Hyoue.
  8. Why is it that when Conan slips while walking, he somehow ends up flying 5 feet above the ground upsidedown?

    1. Black Demon

      Black Demon

It's a parody of a scene from Key of Life, but the character from that movie (who's also featured in this special) steps on a soap.

      That's really interesting!

  9. No, not yet. That would be a nice thing for someone to make.
  10. It was a repeat of 2009's. No different message.
  11. Sorry, I meant it from on onlooker's perspective, not Goudzou's.
  12. Both company president Goudzou from the Magic Kaito manga from Phantom Lady's backstory and detective Kuroda Hyoue have a fake eye. For any Rum hunters out there, here is how Gosho draws people who have both fake eyes and glasses in the manga. The fake eye side is shaded so that the eye is not visible through the glass. Furthermore this is done quite consistently in all panels, so it looks like the glasses are half regular glass half sunglasses. In the anime, the fake eye is shown, but the pupil doesn't change size at all or react like the other eye. The eye just stays still and remains expressionless. For some reason the fake eye side doesn't blink which is strange because eyelids should still work. It is possible this pupil-never-changes convention might hold over to the manga (in case Rum does not wear glasses), but that's quite questionable.
  13. That head forger guy from the Phantom Lady x Toichi section looks like he has a fake eye. I forget if that detail was in the original manga chapter. Considering Rum, I feel like we are being trolled.
  14. The Detective boys have outright caught Conan borrowing people's voices to solve cases. Hattori caught Conan using his own voice and pried his true identity out of him after that. Kaitou Kid also knows about Conan's case solving skills and gadgets. Conan basically stopped pretending about his intelligence and uses all his gadgets in front of the FBI although he keeps his true identity secret. Okiya Subaru caught Conan using Shinichi's voice to talk to Ran. Eisuke figured it out too, but I forget if he found out about all the gadgets. Vermouth knows about Conan's toys, she even used the tranquilizing watch on Conan once. Amuro noticed Conan trying to aim his suspicious watch at Mouri. The Nagano police are getting closer for sure because Conan doesn't hide his intelligence from them, but I don't think they are aware of Conan's gadgets yet.
  15. I haven't really put much thought into the latest file, but I'm really concerned that the body and the head might belong to two different individuals. According to the history of the battles of Kawanakajajabakasomething-or-rather as explained in 913, General Kansuke's severed head was matched to his body. By imitating Kansuke's death from battles, the culprit could be trying to hide that the source of the body and the head are different possibly. Also, is there a reason there is only one woodpecker footprint on the head rather than two? What kind of woodpecker stands on one leg when pecking a tree? Also I think we should match each police to historical figure they from the battles of Kawasunanatsunoko that they correspond to. It might be helpful. I'm pretty sure that's how the puns go. Kansuke "Something like that would never happen with that old geezer Takeda [dead guy]. He's the kind of person who would kill a suspect without hesitation if it was the only way to capture him." --> Sounds like a motive/historical incident to investigate
  16. The context is that I'm having a debate with an IP related the the Boss of the Black Organization article, and I need to be sure I have my facts straight first. Argument that the boss's number is an email address (copied from talk page). Argument that the number is a phone number The best evidence about how the address is actually being used suggests that it is a phone number that is being used for texting. You can't dial an email with a 9 digit keypad to make the nanatsu no ko sound (no .s or @s). Nor do I think it is a coincidence that the length of the number is the exact length of a Japanese phone number (9 digits for a geographic number), and has no @s. Promotional offers in Japan related to Conan (I recall one for M13) had people dial the boss's phone number to hear a pre-recorded message - which suggests that it is a phone number not an email. Also keep in mind the cellphone arc took place way back in 2003/2004, which was pretty early in the smartphone tech cycle. Other mangas (forget which ones) use the convention # to replace phone numbers to make them unworkable. # is used because the pound sign is on a phone. I will add to my side at least as I think of new stuff and keep the other party's arguments updated.
  17. Yep, just now finding this topic an hour after I got rid of the spam. Use the report button because posting here is completely invisible to me. I actually had no real reports this time because people aren't using the reporting system as intended. They either want to talk to me directly by PM and leave poor Black Demon out of the loop (he gets rid of spam faster than me!). Direct messages look like ordinary messages to me, the same as if people are posting on my wall or status updates, so I usually don't look right away. USE THE REPORT BUTTON FOR SPAM! DO NOT MESSAGE THE MODS DIRECTLY!
  18. I've had a few users try to contact me directly through personal messages about spammers or simply post in a thread about them. This doesn't work very well and means it takes longer for me to realize there is a problem. The way the moderating system is set up, if you use the report option, all the moderators get a bright red warning with links to the thread and user that needs moderation and a description of why. If you message me individually, it looks like every other ordinary message. If you post about the spammers in a thread, I get no warning at all. So please, please, please, please use the report button in the lower right hand part of the post. Also, don't assume somebody else has already reported the problem correctly and wait for it to go away! In that last batch of 50 magic spams, I had absolutely no regular reports, just one person contacting by private message and a few wall posts. I didn't see those until much too late. Also, this advice goes for any sort of problem. Weird or suspicious posts? Use the reporting system. Want a mod to delete your accidental double post? Use the reporting system. It lets all the moderators know there is something that should be done all at once.
  19. Sorry, spammer, Detective Conan World is a magic free zone. The only way to get love here is to be childhood friends.

  20. Crosspost Copypasta Magic! This list is the earliest you can watch the movies and OVAs, not necessarily the best time to watch the movies and OVAs. The BEST time list is in the section below! Here is a list of which episodes I would watch just before the movie/ova/magic file based on the plot content.
  21. I can't really answer that because I'm not Gosho. I'm just pointing out what I observed during the handling of the Bourbon arc - the animators seemed to know what was going on roughly speaking. (e.g. Always keeping Okiya's cheekbones covered with hair even in high wind rather than drawing a "normal" face shape underneath, adding AO conversations between Okiya and Haibara mostly consistent with the idea that Akai is protecting her, matching Sera's eye color to Akai's, etc.).
  22. I think Gosho gives the anime team (or some of the anime team) the big answers to the current arc in advance so they can get the characters right and don't add contradicting conversations, but Gosho does not explain all the detailed little clues out which are still messed up from time to time. I don't think Gosho has dished out who the boss is or things like that though.
