The Detective Conan Special Manga is published in Hong Kong[1] by the Hong Kong Ching Win Publishing Co. (香港青文出版社有限公司), as an official licenseholder of Shogakukan rights in Hong Kong for Detective Conan media. It is published jointly with the Taiwanese version by Chingwin Publishing Group, from which Hong Kong Ching Win was spun-off. Publication started much later than the Taiwanese version. In the late 2010s, the Hong Kong version caught up with the Taiwanese release and even surpassed it during the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2019-2020 as the Taiwanese release stalled. It is published under the name 名偵探柯南特別篇 (Míngzhēntàn Kēnán Tèbié Piān), meaning Detective Conan - Special Edition, similar to the Japanese original version. It even keeps the Japanese titles on the covers since the addition of custom titles in 2019 for Special Volume 44.
