The leader robber is found and apprehended by Takagi, Chiba, and Conan, his name is Ichiro Tanaka and was targeting Pan because he thought the dog swallowed the knife that has his blood. The knife is actually buried by Pan somewhere at the park, and becomes evidence confirming that he and his accomplice robbed the jewels.
