Part 1
The Detective Boys, including Conan, accompanied by their teacher Miss Kobayashi, visit the Rampo residence. The storehouse which Rampo used as a library entailed a great deal of valuable books, stimulating the excitement of Conan and the rest. In the meantime, Detective Sato and Detective Takagi arrive, whereupon they are informed that a murder case has taken place in a nearby park. And - what is more - the victim's belongings seem to be related to the storehouse that was often closed to the public... The modern-day Detective Boys shall challenge this difficult case!

Trivia
- Excluding the remake of Moonlight Sonata Murder Case (episodes 1000-1001), this is the first time in 24 years that the episode title ends with "Murder Case" (殺人事件 Satsujin Jiken)[N 1]. It is worth noting that The Spirit Detective's Murder (霊魂探偵殺害事件 Reikon Tantei Satsugai Jiken) (episodes 863-864), which aired in 2017, uses "satsugai jiken" which also means "murder case"
- This case features a different Joke Card of Conan impersonating the pose of Edogawa Rampo.
- Many famous mystery books are exhibited on Rampo's bookshelf:
- Arsène Lupin
- The Billions of Arsène Lupin (ルパン最後の事件)
- The Revenge of the Countess of Cagliostro (カリオストロの復讐)
- Victor of the Vice Squad (特捜班ビクトール)

Notes
- ^ The last time in Detective Conan where the episode title included "Murder Case" was Episode 174: The Twenty Year Old Murderous Intent: The Symphony Serial Murder Case, which aired in 2000.
- ^ The book title was mis-interpreted as 8-3 by the anime production staff, where the number "1" in the title became a dash "-" instead.
