About the continuation of that Japanese story. It's been a long time xD

『ごめんね。』

と、 雪が 言いました。

『わたしも、 早く とけて 水に なり、 とおくへいって あそびたいけど。』

と、 上を 見上げます。

『竹やぶの かげに なって、 お日さまが あたらない。』

と、 ざんねんそうです。

Here's the romaji:

"gomen."

to, yuki ga iimashita.

"watashi mo, hayaku tokete mizu ni nari, to'oku e itte asobitai kedo."

to, ue wo miagemasu.

"takeyabu no kage ni natte, ohisama ga ataranai."

to, zannen sou desu.

Here's my English translation:

"I am sorry" said the snow,

"I also want to dissolve into water as soon as possible, so I can go far away and play, but."

the snoew looks up.

"thanks to the shadow of the bamboo forest, the sun won't hit me."

so, it was rather a disappointment.

Oh, and... the title of the book -> こくごに上たんぽぽ.

I want to join, please..! I'm currently learning Japanese at school, because its part of the curriculum. Right now, I can write in Katakana and Hiragana. I know a few words, and able to piece out simple sentences. I am also able to pronounce words properly. But of course, I don't really think those are enough...

Don't worry about your translation being lame (which it isn't), since you've basicly got all the major points down.

My translation:

"I'm sorry" said the snow

"I want to melt into water and go far away and play" the snow said while looking up

"Since I'm in the shadows of the bamboo, I can't melt" he/she said sadly

my mom side grand parents know japanese(there taiwanese but they watch japanese shows all the time)

i noe the hi in morning night and afternoon, what, stupid, and number 1 through 8(former karate teacher), bed(sounds like bed), karaoke, and last but not least toyota

May I join too? I'm still a newbie here, but this idea sounds really cool to me, I'm a bit familiar with Japanese languagge I know a few words but I cant form sentences because I'M NOWHERE when it comes to grammar :P

I sent Kaoko an e-mail not too long ago to see if anything's up (no reply as of yet), she's probably gotten busier in her life. It's times like these that tempt me to try making lessons of my own...

Yeah, she is absent and will be absent for some time due to some reasons. Please wait patiently for her come back (I really wish she'll come back soon). I could not update the lesson on my own as well, because I usually just wrote the story, the rest was Kaoko's doing sad.gif

i watched the link....and i'm gonna advise you.

・るっさい (russai -> noisy; loud; fussy; annoying; troublesome; tiresome; bossy)

correct: るっさい→うるさい

るっさい only dies 'う' of 'うるさい' and emphasizes 'うるさい'.

i think 'うるさい' is better when you say or write. :)

anyway....
