  1. The point is that most of the DCTP staff that became snarky DID answer like that at one point, but YEARS of the same thing and the same questions get grating, hence the snarkiness. Sure, saying it nicely may be perceived as better, but believe it or not, that leads to the same question being asked again if another episode is delayed by the same people. Meeting such questions with snarkiness leaves an impression that such questions SHOULD NOT be asked. Whether or not you agree, a lot of fansubbers end up feeling this way. I try not to fall in to that, but I do snap at people after a while.
  2. I do, and probably will...

  3. Chianti's gun looks like the H&K PSG1
  4. You mean the Jaguar E Type? Which according to Yukiko's description would be a Series 2 with a 4.2L engine with a rating of 265bhp.
  5. Who had the Dodge Viper again?
  6. Posted the standard issue guns for Japanese PD in that thread. It seems they use revolvers so it would be the former...

  7. Please refer the the Col Jessep quote for the reasoning behind Parkur's snarkiness
  8. SIG Sauer P226 is standard issue for FBI, so you can assume ALL the FBI agents carry the same. Or Glock 22... But Glock 22/23/17/18 was AFTER SIG discontinued the 220 series. So... That could explain why Jodie has the 226. As FAR as I know The Japanese Police use a New Nambu M60 revolver from S&W, or for semi-auto SIG Sauer P230 JP.
  9. It isn't arrogance CC... DCTP doesn't have unlimited resources, and we put out the movie, which was the equivalent of about 8 episodes in terms of script length, in a fairly respectable time of two weeks. It is irritating when people ask consistently and this is not our job, so it doesn't take priority. We do our best, and appreciate it if people don't ask and allow us to do it at our pace. Sure people can be impatient, but again, things could always be worse, and it was before the advent of DCTP.
  10. Basically... The RX-7 FDs are broken in two separate ways... The first is series (which are 6,7,8) and Type (based on engine) which... there are 14 of. Series 7 was only released outside of Japan. So it would only be one of two... Series 6 or Series 8. Satou has had her car for some time, which likely predates 1999, which is when the series changed. Hers in particular doesn't have a rear spoiler. Also, you can tell hers is S6, because it has a sleeker bonnet, whereas the Series 8 had a bit of a bump. As for the type, we can't know 100% certain. The Type R was the most popular, and especially for someone who enjoys racing it would be the type to get.
  11. I think we'll singlehandedly complete that Wiki page... Not sure if that is a good or bad thing though :P

  12. BTW Jodie's Mercedes C320:
  13. Well aware, and it is apparent that it is an FD, not an FC or FE... The FD production line went through minor changes from 1992-2003... Based on time frame it would be safe to assume that Satou has Series 6 and it is possible that Amuro has the latest and last iteration of the Series 8. Neither would have series 7 though. As for type... It depends on the engine, which we cannot see. I'm just going by popularity... Type R was most popular IIRC.
  14. The problem with the RX-7 is that only the SERIES can be determined... the type is almost impossible as the engine is the only difference. Granted the Type R is the most poplar so we can assume that. And that looks like a Series 8 Model. Based on time frame I'd assume series 6 for Satou There are pictures of the one in Conan town for Agasa's Beetle... Exact replica... As for Jodie... She has a Mercedes... Looks like a C Class... Looks like a 2002 Mercedes C Class... Specifically C320. Though its only a guess.
  15. The only ones I can estimate off the top of my head is Gin and Agasa.... I estimate him having a 1958-1959 Porsche 356A. It fits the shape. I could suppose that he opted for the Carrera version for the racing engine, for quick get-a-ways. However this is only a supposition. (the reason for the time frame was was right before the switch to 356B, it was when it was stylistically enhanced, though it could be the 1957) And Agasa's beetle, which looks to me to be a 1964 production Beetle... I need good pictures for the others... Especially the RX-7, as there were about 14 variations throughout its 1992-2003 run. Also I'm NOT that good at trucks, I never really had an interest in them. The info I used in that debate was more or less all I had, unless I look up the specifics, which I would need the model number again... I know I had it back then, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was.
  16. What other pony can speak in verse?! She speaks like she is reading out of a Seuss book! IT IS AWESOME!
  17. I'll help where I can. I'll say this now... There are several versions of Akai's Chevy. We (as in you and I) have debated over the specifics before (the differences are within the booth, which are never explicitly shown). But the engine is the same. Just let me know what you want to know about them, and I'll probably know it or be able to find out the details. I'll say this though... All cars are were in production or have already ceased production at the time of the beginning of the manga. Which means that Gosho was probably VERY deliberate about the vehicle choices, and didn't want a chance for variation. Also... Cars go by production spans generally, unless changes are made to the body, in which case either a change in number, or a variation is made in the number or name of the car. So exact year is a bit difficult to ascertain... Amuro's and Satou's cars are both FD RX-7s, btw... http://www.mazdarotary.net/fd_rx7.htm
  18. I've decided... My favorite pony isn't even a pony! She needs more screen time, I demand it in fact!
  19. You know... the two are not connected. There is something called "Copyright infringement." Basically Shogakukan and TMS don't want their property on the web, as that prevents people from BUYING. Why buy something when you can get it for free? So to prevent this they tell youtube, and what ever other service has their property on it and tell them to remove it or else a lawsuit will be brought up. Same reason why the Watch Section here is no more. This has been happening increasingly over the years, and has nothing to do with an isolated incident like a movie being leaked onto the net (which happens with every movie no matter what, which is why companies now HIRE people to search the internet to find their property and have it removed) As for Andyee, please refrain from asking... Even with the limited fan-base that DC has, it gets quite annoying when people continually ask for releases. We work at our own pace, and we put out a certain quality, a quality that we can be proud of. We are not a speedsub group, never have been and never will be, so they will come out when ready, and no sooner. Not to mention that most of us have lives, like school and work. DC is not our primary concern. DCTP would appreciate it if you and all other fans would exercise patience.
  20. So... basically a more intricate version of the thread I made on DCTP a while ago but never had the time to upkeep. Very good, carry on.
  21. Yes, because authorities never move dead bodies, and don't broadcast that they have found one in the first place. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
  22. This is correct. They were clearly made for each other. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
  23. I'm still a ShinShi... But I don't know...I think I'd get more enjoyment from a troll romance ending than any other. It would be sadistic enjoyment, but that is oh so fun. The only fans who would enjoy it are the fans like myself. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
  24. I can answer that... it isn't. Though it is for adults, especially for comradery between coworkers. Generally in European nations it is a part of the culture, especially Eastern Europe.
  25. Age has no bearing on enjoyment of alcoholic drinks. So long as parents are the ones giving it in moderation, there are no problems. In certain countries alcohol is a part of the culture.
