Ugh... I wish people would STOP calling it the God Particle, that is the most misleading name I have ever heard. It is the particle that is considered to give other particles their mass. I'd go into detail on what that means and implies but it would take too long and I think would confuse too many people. Sufficed to say, calling it the "God Particle" is just something the media called it to sell newspapers. This is why I hate non-science articles that are about science. They take everything and dumb it down to such a degree that people have no clue what is the point or significance. There are a bunch of people running around now talking about the Higgs boson particle like they know what the hell they are saying. I had the same bloody issue with the Elegant Universe documentary... (Which I think is 90% BS btw... There are too many unknown factors in String Theory to give it any substance, its like talking about God (no offense to any of you whom are religious) right now...) What is worse is that there are a bunch of people that think they understand quantum physics because of that damned book/documentary! As for showing the work... Reach higher levels and see why its necessary... It actually helps too, because then you read over it other people can see it and problems in your math can come to light that would have otherwise given you problems. Especially when you are doing multiple integrations or derivations with comlex conjugates and the like. Things get complex and really hard to keep track of...

All collecting is inherently flawed... Because it always comes to a point where it appreciates in value for superficial reasons and they know people will buy it just to say "HEY! I HAVE [insert item here]." But you cannot control obsessions... If I had a fully disposable income my main audio set-up would probably cost in the neighborhood of $7k for headphones and $15-20k for speakers (which at present time, I don't even have the space for) (This is instead of the current $500 that I currently have) And luckily science is one obsession that I don't have to worry about funds because where I work will pay for everything that will make me happy... Though... If I had money like Bill Gates I'd totally have my own lab... Why must instruments be so bloody expensive?

That is the reason why I said tip of the iceberg... Tis only the beginning... most games and systems can be got for cheap and rarely if ever do you have to spend hundreds on a single item... That $1330 only consists of 6 items... 3 headphones, a DAC/Amp, and 2 DAPs. (Actually it would be 1600 if I include my old iPod that I now have plugged into my alarm clock) I'm currently saving up for a pair of $700 headphones... HE-500... Hopefully I can find a deal on Head-fi and get em for less... Also... WHAT ARCADE CONSOLES DO YOU HAVE?! He has like 10 games and like 20 cartridges for another which you can change the game on

Doubtful sir... Again... $1330 on audio, and that is only the tip of the iceberg. Not to mention I've known people through association who have likely spent far more than you on classic gaming... Someone I know through some odd string of connections has an insane gaming basement... Arcade consoles, NES/Famicom, hundreds of games (including some rare ones that are in mint condition), SNES/Super Famicom same deal with games, Sega Genesis with all the trimmings (32X and Sega CD) less games than Nintendo (was always a bigger nintendo fan apparently) Sega Saturn, most variants of PS, Zelda and Regular N64, and every single gameboy ever made and every DS variant... I have been to Nintendo World... I think Nintendo needs to have this kid take pictures of his basement and show that off... And that isn't going into modern systems, which he apparently NEVER plays. He just bought them... Though I hear he uses his PS3 as a media system... he just has never inserted a game into it... I think the only things he is missing is Game and Watches... I don't recall seeing Atari in his pictures either... But that could be elsewhere unless he started collecting from Nintendo on (he IS mainly a Nintendo collector) Oh yeah... he also has official Nintendo Hanafuda cards

Probably because I'm not obsessed with the ponies themselves just yet... The media on the other hand (remixes, actual OST, and other alternate versions of the songs within MLP:FiM). I listen to a lot more... And that would fall under "Music." Also, I have put no money into ponies, but the other 4 I have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on over the years to satiate my obsession with them... Considering your username, I find this ironic. Also... I have bouts of obsession with old school games as well... In terms of games that I'm obsessed with... I don't know why, but I have an unhealthy obsession with Atlus who is obviously very tsundere, borderline cruel.

I think its self exclamatory... What are you obsessed with or addicted to that is NOT anime/manga. I have a few... But here are the 3(technically 4) main ones.... Music (I have around 50 actual CDs and that number is always growing (as in PHYSICAL COPIES not digital))(and by extension audio, as in I spend hundreds of dollars trying to get the best sound possible... The current price of all audio gear owned by me is about $1330 (between portable and home audio)) Books (I have... a lot of books... I would estimate that I have around 100 books that I have kept, and have read more books than I can even count) Science (saving the best for last... I can't even count the hours I spend on science anymore... This is my biggest obsession by far, it will soon become my life... The benefit is that I'll be getting paid to be obsessed with it)

Gosho moves with technology. At the time kids didn't have cell phones unless they were rich. You could make a cell phone, yes, but that means nothing if only Kudo can pay for the air time. That said, I think Gosho made his choice for several reasons. First off the badge is inconspicuous, secondly at the time a kid with a phone looked really off, third monetary issues, fourth would be the fact that the badge is as much of a status thing than a communications device. Gosho even rolled with it adding in tracking to it. Something which phones don't have unless they are broadcasting or have emergency location enabled which itself needs a different tracking method, and not all phones have. In my opinion, if they were dispensable, Gosho would have gotten rid of them already in lieu of cell phones. The fact that he didn't means that he probably would have kept them or something similar even if he had started the series in 2004 rather than in 1994. I mean he has dispensed with a few inventions because they don't make sense anymore, why not the badges too? Only the movies seem to keep everything...

There are a few celebrities that deserve their hype (though I assume actors and actresses are meant here) 4. Twilight is certainly overrated. (I have more than a few problems with the franchise as a whole) 5. You have been talking to the wrong people... "It's not what you know, it's who you know" I've been told that more times than I care to consider. And I've been told a number of times that GPA doesn't matter, the actual degree does. 6. I'm confused... how is that overrated...? That seems more like your personal hate than something that is overrated... Unless you think that people like parents who complain about that and herald them as warriors for what is good and pure in the world... 7. Same issue with 6... Something like that can't be overrated. Blown out of proportion maybe, but not overrated.

Watch it, then go here and see how many tropes and references you caught. I'm not doing that until after finals, but holy hell they have a lot of references and shout outs. Most recently they had a shout out to Seinfeld (in Sweet and Elite) and King Kong (in Secret of My Excess). Pretty awesome imo. I felt compelled to quickly look through some references... "Twilight's last name was changed from "Twinkle" to "Sparkle". Regardless of the reason, surely at least some amount of winking and nudging went on at the studio that day. When Lauren Faust was asked if the name was an intentional joke, her response was "It passed legal."" You know, that just makes me like this show even more because that means all the jokes that are made about Twilight now in reference to MLP:FiM were ENTIRELY INTENTIONAL. That is awesome! Speaking of Twilight and MLP...
