You don't need to be a certain race or from a certain area of the world to be like that. Asians think that way too at times, and the Japanese especially are elitist. generalizations are bad. Also to those that say that American animation is worse than Japanese animation don't realize that the production values of American animation is leagues above Japanese. I HIGHLY doubt that kid is really the most wanted criminal in DC. Thieves almost never make it onto most wanted lists, mainly because their damage is purely financial and most times replaceable or recoverable. He is most wanted by Nakamori and Sonoko's uncle... And they have the funds to have police presence at his announced crime sites, but that does NOT mean that he is the most wanted. The perception and reality of most wanted are quite different. In fact, theft is usually not considered a top priority for most LEOs unless if involves certain aspects. So to say Kid is the most wanted in DC is unfair. For all we know another person could be the most wanted. The only reason the BO members are NOT on the radar is due to lack of evidence. The members of the BO are bad enough to warrant the attention of both the CIA and FBI. I don't see any one else except Nakamori wanting Kid.

I think that stems from his ego, but he thinks he can handle things himself or that it won't hit close to home because of how "careful" he has been (or so it seems at least, I can't say for sure why he does that, I'm just making supposition based on what we know of his character). He seems to trust people just fine... He told Agasa, he basically spilled his guts to Heiji, told his parents everything (the only legitimate one, hell I'm surprised he didn't find a pay phone and call them when this first occurred... You'd think that would be the FIRST person (or in this case, people) to tell, especially when your father has connections and resources like Yuusaku. Why would you tell your eccentric neighbor who is always blowing up his house?) But on topic, there isn't much I actually like about Conan/Shinichi's character. He has no vices, he is overpowered in intelligence (even Holmes had to do research to know everything he did, and years of it. Holmes was a well respected person in the science field for what he did, despite not knowing certain things because it wouldn't benefit him), he has no ability to actually subdue a suspect when he catches him (and is in fact the only character without such skills, who is a detective or a police officer), his idealism is unrealistic and frankly grating, and his overconfidence is ASTOUNDING (I mean, I know you want to explain everything, but at least do so AFTER the suspect is been at least detained by police, or do it off to the side directly to Megure. Again comparing to Holmes, who LOVED theatrics, he wouldn't unravel his deductions until after the situation was under control. Not doing so allows for... problems, desperate people do desperate things. I really want Gosho to have something happen to him during a deduction, because if Shinichi pulls that with the BO, it is highly likely that either he, or someone else will die in the process.) So yeah... I really don't like Conan much... This is the only series that I have stuck with that I legitimately didn't like the main character, it is pretty amazing to be honest

Rohit, good show, but I don't think anything will change unless you delete all of the previous votes. I deleted and revoted... Anokata is still the greatest imo Vermouth is my CURRENT favorite. If Bourbon is everything that Gosho is hyping him up to be, then he will likely become my favorite.

Don't be sorry... I was going to call her out on that too... And I'm not even female XD I was also going to tell her that depending on your age, the first thing can be quite legitimate. Though I tend not to listen to anyone that is less than a certain age on CERTAIN subjects due to lack of available knowledge or in ability to comprehend. There are things in which age is necessary, and though I try and value everyone's opinion, I have learned that kids under the age of 13 tend not to lie, but also tend to not know what they are talking about 75% of the time (though it isn't their fault, they are working off of limited knowledge) and kids 13-18 pretend like they know what they are talking about and make it seem like they are more knowledgeable than they really are. Which in my opinion is more annoying than adults not paying attention (which they usually do, but write it off based on their perception, which in their experience tends to be right a higher degree of the time. Though if a kid has proven themselves to be clever that can change) note: this is all based off of PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, and I apologize if I offended anyone in that statement. If it makes you feel any better, the internet offsets a lot of things, and the kids on here at least do their research, or are (for the most part) clever (at least from what I have seen).

For DC manga, never trust anything you read unless it is from DCTP, Shonen Sunday magazine, or their website websunday.net. People of the internet never know what they are talking about or intentionally troll. Always try to get your info from reputable sources. Gosho is taking a week off and the issue will be out on the 7th... Unless there are 54 issues in a year in which case it will be out on the 14th. I really don't remember if there is a SS 54 or not... So basically expect it in 2-3 weeks, because no matter what it won't be out in issue 53 which comes out next week. We'll know for sure next week whether or not there are 54 issues or not. To be perfectly honest, I THINK that there are 54 issues of SS in a year, which means that SS #1 will be out on the 14th. But again, I won't know for sure until issue 53 is out next week and they update websunday. EDIT: It WILL be out on 07-December-2011. (Or the 6th in the states where DCTP is located)

I always enjoyed Beakman's World and Mr. Wizard. Those two shows and a chemistry set are the reason why I'm in science now. I'm done with this debate... really... debating with someone who doesn't understand the basics of law and evidence when discussing crime is really hard to do, and I do not have the time nor patience to explain everything to you as to why having video of someone in a hat and a monocle with tons of evidence is better than having a number and a name with no evidence. The greatest criminals in DC are MEANT to be the BO, so their popularity is irrelevant here. Kid's fans are blind when it comes to him, which is why movies like 8 and 14 are so popular despite them being absolute tripe.

Yes he does... Videos, witnesses (pretty much all of Japan that watches the news), notices... need I go on? Kid has a TON of evidence against him, which is why he is screwed if caught. The BO members are not... There is no evidence of anything illegal that they have done in the public eye. They tie up all loose ends. The point is that Kid does not deserve the votes he has because people are treating this like a popularity poll rather than a greatest criminal poll.

Again, he doesn't... Kid is far more open and leave clues and openly shows his thievery. If he catches any of the BO he has to prove everything, if he can't they walk. That is a non-issue for Kid. Conan has to prove nothing. He can catch Vermouth, but without proof he can do nothing. He can catch Kid and watch him go to jail along with Jii.

No... that is the thing... Conan doesn't. He has a number and he knows that they have committed crimes. This is what would happen... Shinichi: Megure, I have some information on a murderous org Megure:OH? Lets hear it Shinichi: I've seen them kill x number of people and they were the ones who did the bank heist, here is the bosses number Megure: Great, I'll look into it... Megure: Sorry Shinichi, there wasn't enough to GAIN A WARRANT for an international actress (the only person whom name he knows). The COURTS said that a number that was overheard and the word of a 17 year old KID is not enough. Sorry, call me again when you have more evidence that could be used to obtain a warrant or at least search authorization of the base of operations or the house of any of the main people. In law, COURTS are everything. Conan knows some things but he can't prove anything. The only thing he has is a NUMBER. The courts would simply laugh. The police can't do anything unless the courts give them a go ahead or unless they have just cause. And guess what, if they don't... There are BIG problems (which they don't). Megure could lose his job and be arrested.

He knows next to nothing except their crimes. The email? Give it to the police and see where it leads... Likely it is to a legitimate front. Conan knows plenty but can prove absolutely nothing, except maybe that Gin poisoned him. Ai would have to testify, but how much can she prove? Probably nothing, and without confirmation that she was in the BO, there is no use having her testify anyway. Considering that no one can confirm it, it is pretty much useless. In law knowing things means nothing if you cannot prove it. The FBI seems to know plenty too, why haven't they arrested Vermouth? Because they have no evidence. Words mean nothing without evidence to back it up. If Conan knew ANYTHING of substance he would have dialed up Megure AGES ago and told him the code names, the real names if known and all the evidence he had, and the series would have ended. As of right now Conan can't do anything against the BO, but he can have Kid arrested in an instant.

But... The BO ALSO gets away with heists and not have to be on the lamb because they leave no evidence. The BO has been around for FAR more than 10 years, and Kid has only been active for less than a year, unless you are including Toichi. But that is unfair because we know nothing about him and he was a far better thief than Kuroba. Then you have two people acting for one criminal. And Toichi has not been on the run because he has been... you know... DEAD. Kaitou Kid hasn't even been on the run that long. Has had NUMEROUS close calls, where as the BO has been happily active with no close calls. Anokata hasn't even been revealed because no one can make it that far, who ever does is killed before they can say anything or find anything out. And stealing a person's heart is not a crime and including that in the consideration would lead to favoritism, which is not needed for an objective poll.
