An interesting review of movie 15 : My link While she seems disappointed, the review actually seem mostly positive to me because a long DC episode is what I expect from a DC movie, the fact that the gadgets aren't overused in a lame fashion like in the previous movies is a good thing. Also, not having guest characters is fine IMO since we then avoid the crappy BO or Kid fanservice. The only disappointing thing in this movie seems to be the DB having a big role.

I didn't know that mangas such as Kindaichi or DC were influent to the point where they made people accept mangas with more text. It's true that when you read most of the big hits from the past, theere's very little text compared to mystery mangas.

They won't censor them, but they'll split them up in 20 minute episodes.

I do think he is overrated. God knows I'm not a fan of Kaito Kid at all, but most of the cases in which he appeared in the first 300 episodes or so were at least decent. It wasn't until Sonoko's uncle (which is the worst character to have ever existed in the manga world) was introduced that his cases began to suck because they started to focus only on him (like Chekhov says, cases where he takes second stage are better) making them extremely repetitive, usually boring (the only goal is finding out he's disguised out) and serving only as comic relief.

Ran and Conan having an accent is logic, they're japanese. As for the english speaking character, their english was fine for an anime, and at least they kept it the way it was in the manga.

Worst DC movie to date : -bad fanservice -the humour was childish and/or stupid -pointless action scenes -a very poorly built case (if you can even call that a case) -one of the dumbest endings I've ever seen -kaito centered

The last few minutes of episode 91 are absolutely hilarious ! 333-334 are great too.

He's fine when it comes to the serious stuff, but as soon as Kogoro is supposed to be funny, he fails.

The approaching, it's perfectly logic for the opening to have lots of ShinRan. And Haibara being considered as a DB in the openings is just the reflection of her current role in the series.

I don't want the BO, and I don't want Kid either. The best DC movies in my taste are those that focus on a case, not those that use the secondary characters for promotional and fan-service purposes.
