I learned that if you're anxious enough, you can pull all nighters with ease. I don't recommend this

o cool we elected the manchild who might overturn marriage equality :/ it's over; I can sleep (I've been up maybe 23 hours now) To be honest, I've been preparing for this since July/August, so I'm not that shocked, but I'm still getting over the Indian's lost, so I'm more touchy about this than I should be (I already got out the majority of my complaining on twitter though) if we find ourselves in a war in the next 4 years im gonna fckign scream tho Taking this back. I was already considering trying to get out of xmas family activities, but now I'm 100% going for it. Last year was unapologetic and emboldened racism, I'm not finding out what this year's gonna be like.

Animal Crossing New Leaf Finally hit 500 hours played today, my friend who I haven't talked to in a long time came online while I was playing and we got to talk for a bit, and I convinced the villager (Bruce) visiting my campsite to move in. Was overall a good day Animal Crossing-wise

OMM: The way my sleep schedule is currently, I should be asleep right now, but I'll feel dumb if people ask me in 20 years what I was doing when the election results came out and my answer is "sleeping" I don't even necessarily feel the want/need to watch the results roll in, I just want to see this mess of an election come to the end. On a lighter note though, the holidays are coming up, and that's always nice

I don't intend this to be passive aggressive or patronizing or anything, and I apologize if it comes across that way at any point I apologize, I didn't do a good job getting my thoughts across. My post was intended to be more about how odd it is that something as asinine as an internet meme was getting attention from nationally accredited news sources, and not so much about the legitimacy of being it being labelled a hate symbol. 10 years ago when Peanut Butter Jelly Time was at the height of its popularity, no one would've predicted that something in the same realm as that would ever become associated with anything political. It's just an weird thing to happen all around. As for the integrity of modern mainstream journalism, I can't really comment. Most probably wouldn't disagree that there is some degree of bias in today's journalism, but just how much/how little bias is present, and how common it is is difficult to pinpoint (and a matter of perspective). Regarding clickbait, as disliked as it is, it works. It's a shame multiple news sources have to resort to it, but it's commonplace for a reason. To add one last thing though because it sort of bugged me: regardless of your opinion of Trump, it's pretty damning to have him admit to displaying sexually predatory behavior because he believes he has enough power/influence to get away with it. Even if it was tongue in cheek, that doesn't make it any more ok to say stuff of that nature since it sends a potentially very dangerous message to his supporters and anyone else who may have been listening :/ (This next part isn't necessarily directed at you, but more so at the people assuming the backlash was because of his poor word choice, and not the meaning of what he was saying) Regardless of his accusers and their credibility, it's kind of naive to act like the things he says aren't capable of affecting how a large number of people think. I think anyone that's a household name saying anything like that is deserving of a day or two of scrutiny since their words hold a lot of weight to some people. --------------- forgot my obligatory meme contribution: here's an oldie but goodie

I made myself some pancakes I managed to not mess them up, so they tasted fine for the most part, but the recipe I was using's smallest measurements was for 6-8 pancakes, and that's too much for one person... I ate 4 though--and the first 3 were great! but the last one was lightly peppered with a dash of regret and also syrup

OMM: "Huge new Animal Crossing New Leaf update" "Here's a whole bunch of features only accessible if you have a new 3ds or NFC reader and AC amiibo or amiibo cards!" my favorite new furniture item is the gundam/transformer-esque robot statue. Though it looks out of place compared to how the rest of my rooms are decorated, my house now has a mech hangar and tbh its pretty gr8 I know the feeling. I did a shitton of world building and plot planning a few days ago, but when I actually sat down to start writing, I had no idea how to even start :^) If you don't mind me asking, what genre(s) are you writing? Wait... are you saying you don't enjoy satanic foods made with multiple bodily fluids????? Can't knock it till you've tried it, right?

Capture the Flag. You need at least 10 people for it to be enjoyable, but it's the most fun if you have like 16 or so people willing to play. It's really hard to get that many people together play though, and you also need a good amount of space to play. I really want to play it again though ------------ What websites were your favorites when you were younger?

Happy Belated Halloween! ----------------- OMM 1: tfw the indians are one win away from winning the world series but they're getting absolutely destroyed OMM 2: oh god it's already November I want to do something for Nanowrimo, but I can't think of anything even remotely interesting

OMM: My dad and I went to Cincinnati this past weekend to visit my sister, and while there, we went across the river (the Ohio River is surprisingly pretty tbh) to Kentucky to go to the aquarium and we got to pet penguins. It was a wholesome experience, but surprisingly expensive.... And the fact that there's a seafood restaurant right across the aquarium is hilarious

Not to get too political, but on the front page on NBC News right now, there's a 100% serious article titled "It's Not Easy Being Mean: 'Pepe' Creator Wants His Meme Back" because the Anti-Defamation League declared Pepe a hate symbol recently. There's even a short video at the bottom of the article called "Pepe the Frog's Journey: From Internet Meme to Hate Symbol" What even is 2016

OMM 1: ...Was it naive of me to assume that I would have a good DMV experience? I've been brought along to the DMV by my parents a small handful of times, and it never seemed too painful. I had to be there today for something for myself though, and I wasn't expecting to have a great time, but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. I'm not looking forward to inevitably having to go back.... OMM 2: On a more positive note, I caught a Lapras near my school yesterday, and, more importantly, was recently reminded of this video

I went to the DMV/BMV and found out I didn't have all the proper documents with me to be able to take the test to get my learner's permit. I also learned that my middle name is spelled wrong on some important documents of mine. My parents and I went out of breakfast this morning too and that was nice I guess. I ate too much and feel gross, but the food was gr8

OMM: Quiet... so very quiet... Yup :c While the lack of them does make some older threads more readable since a handful of old users had huge signatures, I miss seeing what everyone had their's as.

@Akazora Because you won't be doing a Fall First Impressions, what shows will you be watching this coming season? (If any at all. It sounds like your free time is thin and far between at the moment.) ---------- I'm still working through my spring and summer stuff, but that's not important ...I'm actually really looking forward to this fall's anime. There's the 2nd season of Hibike Euphonium, 2nd season of Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans (the first ep was pretty hype tbh), the 3rd season of Haikyuu, and the 5th season of Natsume Yuujinchou. There's also some really neat looking new series like 3-Gatsu no Lion, Udon no Kuni Kiniro Kenmari, future anime of the season Gakuen Handsome, and, the one I'm most curious about, Yuri on Ice. (I'm glad they're finally making an ice skating anime, but I'm really surprised it's an all/mostly male cast. My sister was a figure skater all throughout her middle school and high school years, so I spent a lot of time at ice rinks and even messing around on skates myself, and there were very few boys, and the few there were all (except one or two) interested in hockey. I thought if any sports anime was likely to have an all/mostly female cast, it'd be ice skating, but uh. . . . . n ope, apparently not,,, Hopefully it won't suck and will have nice, fluid animation, because irl ice skating's pretty graceful and somewhat mesmerizing imo, and I'll be really disappointed if they aren't able to capture that even slightly. The pv looked pretty good, so hopefully the anime itself will be good as well.)
