Hello all, As you may have seen, the wiki has been down for a little while. Due to the captcha system having reached its end of life, I initiated an upgrade of the wiki platform. Things went great until I ran into some complications. I've been fixing them so far. Things should go back to normal sometime tomorrow. I still have a bit of testing to do regarding some of the issues. I'll keep you updated as soon as this is completed. As you may have seen, the site has also been refreshed: https://www.detectiveconanworld.com (the homepage may still change some more in the near future). The back-end has been upgraded as well to use some of the most recent technologies/versions (such as PHP 7, etc...). Thank you for your patience, Maurice

Hi everyone, As you may have seen already, the site's design was refreshed a bit: - We're now using new fonts throughout the site (besides the forum and wiki). - The main site is now responsive (mobile-friendly). - The homepage was revamped. The banner may change in the near future. - There's a new simple template of the Wiki's mobile version. Besides the design, the forum was upgraded to the latest version as well as the wiki (which required that I reworked some of the custom plugins for DCW, hence why it took more time than expected). The reCaptcha plugin was upgraded as well. I hope you like the changes. I apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience, Maurice

Hello! Thank You for visiting here. After a long time thinking, finally I decided to upload my drawings. So, here they are: Conan Edogawa - It is the still from the movie "The Last Wizard Of The Century". Kaitou Kid - I found the Kid's picture on google and decided to give it a try. DC - I took ideas from the manga covers, posters, movie stills, etc. Hope you like them.

The updates are almost over. There are a few minor issues that I need to address. Since it requires a bit of testing (due to the changes that come with the latest version of the Wiki platform), it might take another day or so. Thank you for your patience.

Hello, It went down by mistake. I wasn't even aware of it when it happened. It was an issue related to the domain name (and not the site itself). This was resolved as fast as we could (but there's always a delay with domain name issues unfortunately...). Sorry about that.

Hello. It's because I've been trying to fix some issues and I'm taking this opportunity to make a new update to the platform. I'll keep you posted. Thank you for your patience.

The topic was deleted by error. I was able to restore a backup. It is one of the oldest and biggest/most famous topic on the forum after all. A trip down memory lane and through DCW's history.

Hey guys I've always liked getting on the wiki and reading the episode synopsis' but lately it's been telling me to sign in...so I created this account (like 5 mins ago) and it's still not letting me in?? is there a time limit? Thank you for your help!

Hello everyone, I've been having a problem lately getting into the anime and wiki sections of this website. Every time I try to get to them from here by clicking on the tabs, it says error page not found, as it does whenever I click some of the other tabs. When I try to get directly to the wiki page through a bookmark I have saved, it tells me I need to sign in (even though im always automatically signed in) and I sign in anyway with what im sure is the correct username and password, even trying multiple options and it still tells me the same thing. This is a problem because I rely on the wiki in order to know which episodes are filler and get info on some things prior to watching them and I've been using this website for at least 2 years and this has never happened to me before. Is anyone else having problems like this or is it just me?

Ladies and gentleman, my procrastination level has reached a new peak. I'm downloading old episodes of DCWs Podcast to listen to \o/ Ayy that's great Machine. Working full time is a blessing after barely making ends meet working in retail... though I shouldn't comment on that, I only worked part time for a year before returning to freelancing

Hello and nice to meet you! You can call me Helvig. I started reading Conan sometime around 2006 and followed the series actively until 2013 or so, when I got too busy with studies and life to keep reading. Now after a pause of almost 10 years I've found myself back in this never-ending time-loop of murders and mysteries. I'm currently rereading the series at around volume 30, so there's still a long way to go. I've actually never read past volume 77 (since the scans were almost non-existent at the time) so I'm eagerly waiting for when I'll reach content that is new for me. Not sure how active I'll be on the forum (is the forum even active in general..?), but I'll see if I can do something to help with the wiki. It's such an amazing resource, well done everyone who has contributed!

To me it seems that the younger brother is planning to use the bombs to kill the three men, most likely because he blames them for his brother's death.
  19. 2 points
I'm don't know if the brother killed the manager of the farm. But I do think that he was the one who put him in the bed. The corpse was lying on the bed under a cover with his eyes closed. But since he was strangle and the bed seems to be placed in a corner, I think it's unlikely that he was strangled while lying down in it. The fact that he was placed in bed after his death suggests that someone showed him some last respect. And that would most likely be the younger brother. It's possible that the manager comitted suicide by hanging and his brother found him, got him down and placed him in the bed.

Here's a general guide. Movie 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 all have an "OVA" labeled as "Magic Files" to go before or after each movie. After Magic File 6, Episode 694, 735, and 774 were aired as preludes to the movies that year. They aren't really overly connected, but usually just had a bit of dialogue for the movie at the end of each episode. If the pattern follows, we should see the episode for M20 on April 16th.You could watch almost all the movies regardless of where they "fit in", but if you wanted to watch the movies in relation to their air-dates... You could follow the list below. After Episode 54 - Movie 1 After Episode 97 - Movie 2 After Episode 140 - Movie 3 After Episode 186 - Movie 4 After Episode 231 - Movie 5 After Episode 275 - Movie 6 After Episode 315 - Movie 7 After Episode 356 - Movie 8 After Episode 393 - Movie 9 After Episode 434 - Movie 10 After Episode 470 - Movie 11 After Episode 504 - Movie 12 (Watch Magic File 2 before this movie) After Episode 535 - Movie 13 (Watch Magic File 3 before this movie) After Episode 570 - Movie 14 (Watch Magic File 4 after this movie) After Episode 613 - Movie 15 (Watch Magic File 5 after this movie) After Episode 655 - Movie 16 (Watch Magic File 6 before this movie) After Episode 694 - Movie 17 After Episode 735 - Movie 18 After Episode 774 - Movie 19

Hello, This is my first post here on the forum so I apologize if I make any formatting mistakes. With 101 released volumes, there are now 101 characters featured on the back cover of Detective Conan volumes. Practically every single character that had at least some form of an impact on the story has their own keyhole, and then some. Several one-off characters get there own keyholes too: Haga Kyosuke (46), Bartender Lady (81), Vampire Maid Lady (79), etc. It's important to note that those were all "memorable" one-off characters. Aoyama is so desperate to find new keyhole characters that Vermouth appears four times: Chris Vineyard (26), Sharon Vineyard (35), Scar Akai (78), and Enomoto Azusa (90). Do you think that this scarcity of untouched characters will eventually reach a point where the course of the whole story shifts so that Aoyama can feature a new character? After all, every single keyhole character appears in the volume they are on (Even Okino Yoko in volume 17 (she's in one panel in the background of a thought)). Also, who do you think is next in line to get their keyhole? My bet is Hagiwara Chihaya. Finally, who do you think should get their keyhole ASAP? My choice is Itakura Suguru Here's a list of notable characters who haven't gotten keyholes yet: Hagiwara Chihaya Miyano Elena Haneda Kouji Korn Iori Muga Sonoko's Father Itakura Suguru Tsuburaya Asami Futoshi Ejiri Iwao Ida Nakamichi Inspector Momose Lupin (Suzuki Jirokichi's Dog) Kenzaki Osamu Sanada Takahiro Rum (without disguise) Karasuma Renya Miyano Shiho Tequila Pisco Numabuchi Kiichiro Phantom Lady Nakamori Aoko ... Alright, now that I listed them there might be quite a few left. But some of these characters like Futoshi Ejiri and Iwao Ida don't have a reason to return. What do you all think?

Detective Conan has a rich history of intricate cases and ongoing storylines, and it's exciting to think about the potential new directions the series might take following the conclusion of the Kohji case. The breadcrumbs left behind from the past can create anticipation and excitement for future developments. As a fan, it's always intriguing to speculate about what might come next and how the characters will continue to evolve. Overall, it's wonderful to hear that the recent chapters in Detective Conan left such a strong impression on you and have left you eager for what's to come. Enjoy exploring the new storylines and mysteries that lie ahead!

Your analysis of the old man looks promising. For the rest of the analysis, only time will tell I guess. Either way, the efforts need to be appreciated. The theory is interesting enough for holding my attention till the end. " This could be Gosho's strategic plan to subvert the readers' expectations by essentially flipping the script right on its head, which in my opinion shows great potential to beating the big twist of the very-beloved Vermouth arc. " I hope this turns out true.

Yes, you're right. I mistook Rumi for being a "subordinate" of organisation's no. 2 in Conan's internal monologue while she is a "candidate". Thanks for correcting me.
  41. 1 point
Hey all, my latest theory regarding the whole Rum arc. Is that most likely Hyoue & Rumi are not Rum, I cannot say I have conclusive evidence, however the mere fact that they met during the camping incident, and Rumi's confrontation with the culprit, made me feel uneasy about how Kuroda reacted. If one was Rum, the other knew, if the other person did not know, it is most likely that Rum (or them) was not in the Haneda's scene, because their level of intelligence (that may surpass Conan's) would lead them to figure the identity of Rum at the crime scene. Rumi (If she is Rum), would know Kuroda's purpose is to spy on her, and therefore would take actions to escape any chance that would lead to her identity. Kuroda (if he is Rum) would not confront Rumi, who is related to Haneda's mystery, without jeopradizing her suspisiousness towards him. If Kurodoa is Rum he would rather avoid Rumi, who might deduce who he is. If both did not know the other, I doubt Rumi would show off her skills in front of Kuroda (to her he might be Rum). Kuroda would not confront Rumi (who to him might be Rum), on the ground that he is watching over, and keeping her in a school where young lives at stake. On this basis, Rum is neither for most chances, unless proven otherwise. Kanenori, is a great candidate. But for a second in hand to command a large syndicate as big as BO, and the desire to remain unknown, would suggest he would rather attract less attention to himself, even if he tries to hide in plain sight. And his wholesome intention to become a disciple of a famous detective (Kogoro), would inspire others to look into him, such as Conan, and his quirky look, would raise questions, specially if Rum, who most likely knows about the descriptions people say about him, would mind fitting the image or a characteristic in a way or another in public. Rum would most likely, appear in the three different ways he is described, only inside the BO, while in public he would/should change his appearance to avoid any traces of him. If he have a damaged eye, he'd rather hide it or damage both eyes, if he seems feminine, he'd rather appear ambiguous looking, the same goes for a strong man. Rum, most likely, has not appeared in whole appearance to the people who described him. The BO agents, described his characteristics, based on his approach, which would raise the question of the eye problem. If all agreed, that Rum have an eye that is prosthetic or damaged, it must mean that they saw him. Yet, it might be a way of Rum to throw off descriptions of him by giving different traits, with one similar characteristic, so when he is investigated, it would mislead the investigators in something that did not exist. Again, the descriptions, have transferred to Haibara who relayed them to Conan, (Who btw, didn't even bother telling Conan Anokata's phone number, even though she was not surprised to know he figured it out), in accordance with her intentions to mislead Conan away from the BO so he would not be a matter of concern. Rum's awareness, like Gin about Sherry's escape from the BO, and that she must have had help, before her assumed death, would mean she told someone info on the BO, and Rum's different descriptions would've made their way into a stranger. Iori Muga, to me personally, is most suspicious. Like said above by MeiTanteixX, his concern over time, would relate logicaly to Rum. He has no worries about people finding out his time calculations, and he should not. Since only the people he told that time is precious, should be matter of concern to him, like Amuro, however he considers Amuro a top ranking BO agent. And following the theory of MeiTanteixX, about G & UMA, which I find to be very possible. I would not be surprised if Muga turns out to be Rum,. Another thing to consider, that Kuroda is not Rum, is the fact that he is Rei's superior. While he may still be a suspect, he would know about the agents awaiting at Kudo's residence during the Scarlet Arc. Thus, he would question the whole Akai's conversation with Rei over the phone, and the PSB that chased him, would lead to the BO's figuring out his whole fake death incident, if he is Rum. Kanenori, if Rum, would be a compromise of concealment, to be known to Kogoro, Amuro and others, as a disciple to Kogoro, with the looks he has, and the possible chance some would know of his descriptions following Haibara's escape from BO, even before her assumed death. Rumi, while as mysterious as she is, would not throw her mysterious character to be a matter of study and observation to others, if she is Rum, not to Kuroda who is in police, nor to Conan, whose skills of deduction, she know of. I cannot imagine a scenario where the 2nd in command, would not mind be around someone who can investigate him, unless he wants to. Rum, is in rush. As evident by his message to Amuro "Time is Money", mostly the general concept is that Rum's current objective is to find out any spies within the BO, while staying hidden. He/She, is currently active, while maintaining the order of BO. means he/she must balance between the two. As to why he is in hurry, it may be due to; 1. following a lead to find something out before it becomes apparent or escape. 2. To rush others to fall victims of time and therefore revealing their true allegiance, 3. to actually win something over in the least time possible. Since time is of the essence to Rum, I've been wondering if it has anything to do with Anokata himself. Since Anokata(Karasuma), is related to the whole time concept, raising the dead, over half a century of existence. I wonder if something is up that may actually be the reason why Rum is in a rush. Which would lead back to the Muga's obssession with time and seconds, and his attempt to calculate time to the second for fullest time employment. ..

Disclaimer: I DON'T OWN HETALIA OR DETECTIVE CONAN. I WISH I DID. Hi guys! It's me. I know... I'm horrible. I have four on-going stories and I decided to add another to the mix! I apologize, but this idea wouldn't leave me alone! I hope this story makes sense... It's rather strange. And also, I haven't wrote for Hetalia before, so forgive me if they're out of character. Or if I made a mistake. And... *sigh* THIS IS MY LAST DAY OF SUMMER! I have Freshman Orientation tomorrow... DX Oh well. ENJOY~~! "Alright! I think we can begin the World Conference Meeting!" An overly enthusiastic blonde with glasses yelled. "Solving the world's problems one by one!" A sigh echoed throughout the gigantic conference hall. There was a long table and there was nine people were sitting at the table. "Anyone have any problems? Besides the obvious ones!" America continued. "Global warming is going to take a while! Anyone got anything?" "America, what gives you the right to run this meeting? And this isn't even a World Conference Meeting!" Another man that had blonde hair with bushy eyebrows and a British accent questioned. "It's obvious England! Because I'm the hero! And I'm calling it that, so deal with it!" America grinned. Sparkles began to glitter around him. All of the other countries groaned. "So any problems?" There was a pause. "None at all? C'mon, there has to be something happening in the world!" "I have one, da." A very large and the tallest out of all the countries spoke up. He was wearing a scarf and had purple eyes with a childish smile. "Any OTHER problems?" America asked, still grinning. England gave a hopeless sigh. "Go ahead Russia." "No one will become one with me, da." Russia stated innocently, cocking his head. "I don't know why…" "And that's why I didn't call on him!" America said after there was a moment of silence. "I have a problem!" A blonde with wavy hair barely above his shoulders and a stubbly chin. "No one wants to hear your problems, France!" "Angleterre, you're so cruel…" France pouted. "I have a very important problem!" "And whatever could that be?" "…My girlfriend broke up with me!" The country began sobbing dramatically. "WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH SOLVING THE WORLD'S PROBLEMS, WANKER?" "IT DOES! IF I'M DEPRESSED THAN THE WORLD IS DOOMED!" The two countries began to strangle each other. An Asian country with brown hair tied in a ponytail sighed. "Are you two fighting again-aru?" "STAY OUT OF THIS CHINA!" "You are always fighting and disrupting the meeting-aru! China retorted. Three countries were sitting next to each other. One had a reddish brown hair and a daydreaming look with a curl. Another was a quiet Asian with black hair and deep brown eyes. The last one had a light blonde hair and light blue eyes and a stern look. "Ve~!" The one with reddish brown hair said. "Everyone looks like they're having fun~!" "Italy, all they're doing is ruining the point of this meeting." The blonde grumbled. "Hai… But Germany-san, they always act like this…" "Sadly, you're right, Japan." Germany agreed in his thick accent. "Someone must have actual problems…" "Ve~! I have one… I don't have pasta~!" "Not that kind of problem Italy…" Japan was silent. There was a problem bothering him, but he wasn't going to interrupt selfishly. "Japan…" The country looked up when his name was called. "Hai?" "Is there something bothering you?" He wasn't going to lie for his own selfish needs. "…Hai…" Germany frowned. "Why didn't you say something before?" "I… I did not want to interrupt everyone." "But if you have an actual problem, you should say it! That way, we'll be able to get something done." "I-I guess…" Germany sighed and stood up. "EVERYONE!" England and France stopped for a moment, hands still wrapped around each other's necks. "Germany?" "Someone actually has a REAL probl-" "MY PROBLEM IS VERY REAL!" "Shut up, frog!" "Who has this problem?" America asked with interest. "Japan." Germany gestured to the flustered nation next to him. "Japan?" All of the countries glanced over. "What's your problem, Japan-aru?" China questioned. He was actually a little concerned, but he wasn't going to show that. "W-Well…" Japan stood up as well, and stuttered. "There's an Organization that's causing trouble, and…" "What?" America looked unimpressed. "An organization?" "Hai… It's causing a lot of trouble…" "Eh? How so?" "There has been shady business and lots of murders." "S-Sounds scary, ve…" Italy started whining. "That happens in every country-aru!" "B-But… This Organization… Made a drug. And this drug…" France raised an eyebrow. "Drug?" "According to my sources… It kills people and it can't be traced… But…" "But?" America was getting impatient. "Spit it out, Japan!" "…It has a very rare side effect of shrinking people." "WHAT?" All of the nations exclaimed at once. "Shrinking people, da?" Russia looked confused. "That's not possible!" England sputtered. "And your magic is, Angleterre?" France rolled his eyes. "It is, you bloody git!" "Whatever you say, mon ami, whatever you say…" "I'M GOI-" "EVERYONE, SHUT UP!" Germany yelled. Grudgingly, the room became silent. "What are we going to do about this problem?" "Every country has organizations." England grumbled. "We can't be expected to do everything…" "But shrinking people?" America had a gleam in his eye. "That is so cool, dude!" "Cool? What's cool about that, wanker?" "It just is!" "This is why I didn't think my problem needed to be shared…" Japan sighed. "I think we should check this out." Germany finally said. Everyone looked at him, surprised. "Shrinking people with a drug… That shouldn't happen. I say we should try to destroy this organization so the drug can also be destroyed…" "I… I suppose, but…" "I forgot another thing…" Japan spoke up. "It is believed this same organization is searching for a special gem that can grant immortality." There was silence. "IMMORTALITY?" France shouted, eyes gleaming. "SHUT UP, FROG!" England yelled back. Then he turned to Japan. "But… Immortality?" "Hai… It is said that the jewel has tears or immortality and if you drink it…" "Interesting-aru…" China mused. "Very interesting! Let's go find that jewel!" "Frog, we're countries. We don't need something like that… Unless the nation died…" England trailed off. Immortality, huh… "So, is it agreed? We go to stop this organization?" Germany questioned. "Ve~! It's Germany's going…" Italy thought aloud. "I'm coming too! I'll make sure to pack plenty of pasta~!" "Well, I must go!" America declared after a second. "I'm the hero after all! Hahaha!" England rolled his eyes. "…I suppose I'll go as well." "I'm going!" France immediately said. "Kaitou Kid is currently in Japan as well! He used to steal from my country… I will find this thief!" "Kaitou Kid, eh… Sounds interesting, da!" Russia childishly grinned. "I want to see." "…I'm going as well-aru. Japan is in my area-aru." China agreed, somewhat embarrassed. Japan was shocked. Everyone had agreed… "Thank you, mina-san." "Of course! A hero helps people in need!" "We'll plan and meet." Germany decided. He too was surprised they had agreed. Suspicious… "How about tomorrow at… 1:00 in the afternoon at my house?" Japan offered. "We'll have plenty of time to prepare." All of the countries nodded, agreeing. "Well, then… Meeting dismissed!" )))))))))))))))))))))) "Honestly…" Mouri Ran grumbled. She was walking home with her father and almost-little brother from their meal at a restaurant in the city. "Why do we run into cases everywhere you go, Dad?" "Don't ask me." Mouri Kogoro muttered, yawing. "It just happens. Anyways, another case solved by the Great Sleeping Detective, Mouri Kogoro!" 'Oi, oi…' Edogawa Conan thought as he walked along. 'I'm the one who solved it…' "You were great, Uncle!" "Of course I was, brat! Nyahaha!" Conan dead-panned and Ran looked annoyed. "I'm tired of running into murders all the time! I can never go anywhere without seeing a dead body! It's a beautiful Saturday, and…" "Sorry, Ran…" Kogoro apologized. "But… There's nothing you can really do about it when it happens." "You could prevent the murder!" As Ran continued scolding her father and Conan watched, amused, they heard a voice. "Oi! Kudo! Neechan! Occhan!" A familiar Osakan accented voice. Conan inwardly groaned and Kogoro outwardly as they saw one Hattori Heiji waving to them from a few yards away. One Toyama Kazuha and surprisingly on Haibara Ai was with him. The two Osakans ran up to the trio happily while the shrunken scientist followed indifferently. "Hattori-kun! Kazuha-chan! Ai-chan!" Ran was surprised. "What are you doing here?" "We came ta visit!" Kazuha grinned. "How are ya, Ran-chan?" "I'm fine, and you?" "The Osakan brats… And the creepy little girl…" The famous detective muttered as the two teenage girls continued to chatter. "Nice ta see ya too, Occhan!" Heiji cheerfully greeted. Ai was next to him. Then he looked down at the shrunken detective. "Hey, Ku-K-Conan-kun!" "Hi, Heiji-niichan." Conan glared. Then he glanced at Ai curiously. "What's up, kid?" "The sky." "…Besides tha'." "The sun." "Ya know wha' I mean!" Conan smirked, successfully having annoyed the teen. "Nothing much. Just ran into another murder." "Of course, ya did. Ya're a murder magnet!" "You say that again and you're going to be on the receiving end of a super-powered soccer ball." Heiji shuddered. "Scary." "Haibara, what are you doing here?" "I couldn't reach you on your cell phone and I was near the agency. I walked to the entrance when this guy-" Ai gestured to the Osakan detective, "And his girlfriend spotted me. Then they dragged me along to find you." The strawberry blonde leaned towards the mini detective and whispered, "New temporary antidote." Conan's eyes blue eyes widened in joy as Ran and Kazuha appeared next to the boys and girl. "Hey, do you wanna go to Beika Park? It's really nice, and I don't feel like going home yet…" Ran suggested. "Sure!" Kazuha readily agreed. "Where is it?" "It's a couple of blocks from here." "Alright! Let's go!" Heiji fist pumped, wanting to take Conan's mind off the soccer ball idea. "C'mon, Ku-Conan-kun!" "Hai!" Conan answered childishly with a fake smile. "Do you want to come as well, Ai-chan?" Ran asked the indifferent girl. "…I might as well." The mini detective was amazed that the girl agreed, but shrugged. "Alright! Let's go!" The karate champion smiled. "I'll pass." Everyone looked at Kogoro. "I've had enough for today… And Yoko's gonna be on in half an hour." The group dead-panned and rolled their eyes at the 'detective's statement, but let him go. "Off we go!" ))))))))))))))))))) After a few minutes of walking, they saw the park in sight. "C'mon, let's hurry up!" Kazuha said excitedly. "I can see cherry blossoms!" Ran laughed. "Alright!" The two older girls ran ahead as the boys and Ai continued at their own pace. "So how long will this antidote last?" Conan turned to Ai. "At the most, forty-eight hours." The chibi detective nodded. "Thank you." "You shouldn't be thanking me. It's my fault this happened in the first place." She said coldly. "…Maybe I shouldn't be thanking you. But still." Conan genuinely smiled at her. She was surprised, but also gave a small smile. "Eh, Kudou… Are ya ditchin' Nee-chan for this chibi nee-chan?" Heiji butted in. He was immediately on the receiving end of two deadly glares. "I could give you the APTX-4869." Ai's icy blues eyes drilled into the Osakan. "And you wouldn't be as lucky as us." The tan detective shivered then started running to the park after the girls. "Get back here, Hattori!" )))))))))))))))))))))) "What exactly are we doing here?" Hakuba Saguru questioned testily. "Oh, c'mon Hakubaka… Lighten up!" Kuroba Kaito cheerfully bounced along. "We came to check out the jewel Kaitou Kid announced he was going to steal!" "Yes… I realize that. But why are we going through a park?" "Sorry, Hakuba-kun…" Nakamori Aoko apologized next to the teenage boys. "It just looked really beautiful and I wanted to see." Saguru sighed. "No, Nakamori-san, it's quite alright." "But these cherry blossoms really are quite dazzling…" Koizumi Akako noted, playing with a lock of magenta hair. "What I'm surprised about is why Koizumi-chan is here." Kaito pondered aloud. "Kaito!" Aoko elbowed her childhood friend. "You're being rude!" "Nakamori-san, it's alright." Akako slyly smirked at the magician. He rolled his eyes. "I did, after all, invite myself. I shouldn't be here." "Don't say that Akako-chan! I was going to invite you anyways." The girl protested. Then she smiled. "But I'm glad you came." Akako was surprised, but then smiled as well. "Thank you Nakamori-san." "Regardless, let's keep moving. They're only displaying the Red Rose for a little while longer." Saguru reminded the rest of the group. "Hai, hai!" Kaito continued skipping happily. Suddenly, the teenage magician crashed into something. "What the hell?" He muttered. He looked up to the person sprawled on the ground across from him. It was a man in traditional Japanese style clothes with a katakana. The man immediately was up and helping him. "Gomenasai! Are you alright?" Kaito was up on his feet easily. "Yep! And don't apologize, it was my fault. I wasn't watching where I was going." "No! It is my fault!" The magician raised an eyebrow at the man's behavior. "Kaito!" Aoko, Saguru and Akako ran up to Kaito. "What did you do this time?" "I ran-" "Gomenasai! It was my fault, your friend did nothing!" Akako's red eyes lit with recognition, but remained silent. "Is that true, Kuroba?" The British detective glanced at his friend. "No." Kaito admitted. "It was my fault… Wasn't looking where I was going. But this guy keeps insisting otherwise." "No, it is my fault…" "What's your name?" Aoko curiously asked. "Ja- I mean, I'm Honda Kiku…" "Nice to meet you Honda-san!" Kaito greeted. "And please stop blaming yourself." "But-" "Japan! Japan!" A blonde with glasses appeared with some other guys following him. "Am- Alfred-san…" Japan corrected himself. They couldn't say they were the embodiments of the countries to these humans… America and the others saw the group of teenagers and caught on. "Oh… Where did you go Kiku?" "Gomenasai, I thought I saw something…" "Saw what?" Saguru asked suspiciously looking at the group or eight. It looked like there were two Asians and the rest foreigners. "None of your business." England curtly informed him. He glanced over the teenagers until his eyes fell upon Akako. He looked taken aback, but regained his composure. The British detective and teenager magician raised their eyebrows. Definitely suspicious. "And you are…?" Aoko asked politely. "Alfred F. Jones!" America introduced himself. England sighed. They shouldn't be giving their identities away… "Why do you need to know?" "It's polite to introduce yourself." Kaito interrupted Saguru before he could say anything. "Besides, I'm a detective. It's in my nature to know things. And you're acting very suspicious." "How so?" "Why would Jones-san here call Honda-san 'Japan'? And you've stuttered with your names a few times… It seems like you're hiding something." "Oh? And what's your name?" "Hakuba Saguru." England's eyes widened. 'This detective is from my country… I recognize that name.' "Forgive me." England began to speak in English. Everyone was surprised at the sudden change in language. "I recognize you. I'm also from England, you see." "Is that so?" Saguru answered back. "Anyways, what are you doing here?" "…Visiting." England stated. "Visiting? Really?" Kaito now also began to speak. "You know English?" The former pirate questioned. "Yep!" The magician comfirmed. "I think you should switch back now." America joined in. Looking at the two teenagers, he added, "I'm from America. Of course I know English. Anyways, we're just confusing everyone." "I see that." Saguru switched back, now smiling. "What was that about?" Aoko asked Kaito. "I only understood a few words..." "Nothing." Kaito grinned. "But I think they trust each other enough now. "Arthur Kirkland." England shook Saguru's hand. "Nice to meet you." "I'm Nakamori Aoko!" Aoko smiled. "Koizumi Akako." The witch finally spoke. She was smirking. England's green eyes widened when he heard the name. "Angleterre, don't keep all of the ladies to yourself!" France immediately had two roses in his hands for both girls. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm Francis! All you need to know is my first name." The Frenchman kissed both girls' hands. Aoko blushed and Akako continued to smirk knowingly. Kaito and Saguru looked slightly jealous. "Shut it, you bloody frog." England muttered. "I'm Yao-aru!" China introduced himself. "Nice to meet you!" "I'm Ivan, da." Russia gave a childish smile. "…Ludwig." Germany grudgingly said. "Ve~! You can call me Feliciano~!" Italy happily spun around. "You two are cute~!" Aoko blushed again. Akako looked pleased. Kaito scowled somewhat and Saguru just gave a shrug. "I'm Matthew!" Canada seemed to appear out of nowhere. "C- Mattie, what are you doing here?" America questioned, surprised. "…You told everyone to come to J- Kiku's house today… So I came." "…" All of the countries had forgotten, once again, about Canada. "Where did you come from?" Kaito asked. "Kaito! You're being rude again!" "No, it's okay." Canada gave a sad smile. "I'm not the type that's noticed." "Sorry…" The magician apologized. "No, it's fine." "Enough." Germany finally said after the pause of silence. "We need to go, remember?" Japan nodded with the rest. England, however, frowned, furrowing his thick eyebrows. "Hold on a second." Everyone glanced at him. "Koizumi-san, may I speak with you?" France gasped. "Angleterre, I didn't know you liked younger girls!" "Shut up frog!" Akako gave a graceful nod of her head. "Of course, Kirkland-san." The witch followed the Brit a little away from the group who were now interacting. "Yes, England-san?" "…I didn't expect to run into you here, Koizumi." Akako shrugged, but kept her sly smirk. "Coincidence?" "With you, it's never a coincidence." "Ohoho~! Quite right. Lucifer told me that I would run into something interesting today at the park." England looked taken aback, but quickly regained his posture. "I should've known you'd be able to summon the Demon Lord. You, Koizumi Akako, successor to the Scarlet Arts." "It has been a while since we've seen each other, England-san. How has your practice been with your Black Magic?" "…Quite alright." "I can sense a dark aura around Russia-san…" Akako glanced at the tall man with the scarf. "You summoned him when calling for a demon, didn't you?" "That's what I thought. Maybe he made a contract with the devil…" "With Russia, you can never tell." England sighed. "Anyways, I have a favor to ask, seeing you here." "Oh? A favor? I thought you, you of all people, would never ask such a thing. Tell me." The British man leaned towards the witch and quickly told her of his plan. Her red irises widened, but she smirked. "How interesting… There's nine of you… And… Let me check." Akako closed her eyes and sensed for auras. After a few moments she opened them and smirked. "Lucky for you, there are eight humans and one witch in this park." England raised one bushy eyebrow. "You're willing to…?" "I suppose I must. This is quite a big favor you're asking of me, and there will be a price." "I understand." "You must be very lucky England-san." Akako continued. "Because these people besides the ones you've met… They're connected in ways that will help you in your mission. If they were random people, it would be highly unlikely that your goal would succeed." The former pirate nodded. "Yes. So is it guaranteed we'll be able to meet each other again soon?" "Indeed." Akako played with her hair. "But, are you going to tell them?" "…I can't. It won't work if they know, as most of them will probably disagree." The witch laughed. "Ohoho~! So you're willing to risk the chance that this will go wrong, they won't know what will happen and they'll die?" England stiffened, but slowly nodded again. "It must be done. For the sake of bringing down that Organization." "And why would you be interested in destroying this particular Organization?" "If it's true that they are searching for a jewel that cries tears of immortality and they manage to obtain it, the world will be condemned to Hell. As the embodiment of England, I cannot allow that to happen." "How noble, England-san." "Say whatever you say, Koizumi." "Of course it's whatever I say." The temptress twirled her magenta locks around a delicate finger and smirked. "Let's begin." Kaito glanced at Arthur and Akako talking. 'Whatever that witch is involved in can't be good.' "Kuroba-san?" "Eh?" Kaito snapped back to Japan. "Yes, Honda-san?" "I want to apologize about-" "Oh, please!" Kaitou laughed. "You've already apologized enough. Don't worry about it!" "Kiku, you do apologize to much-aru." China agreed with the magician. "Yao-san…" "It's true, Kiku!" America butted in. "And I know! BECAUSE I'M THE HERO! Hahaha!" "…Is he always like that?" Saguru asked Russia. "Pretty much, da." "I see…" "Mon cher, you're very beautiful." France continued flirting with Aoko. She kept blushing. "Ve~! It's true~!" Italy agreed. "Stop bothering her, It- Feliciano." Germany grumbled. Kaito glanced back to see England by himself and Akako gone. "Hey… Where'd Koizumi-chan go?" He asked Saguru and Aoko. "I don't know…" Saguru frowned, also looking at England. Suddenly, they heard chanting. "Create a bond, create a bond Fusing the soul together Forces to heaven and hell meet, to enlist Bring down the evil they face the same Collaboration, collaboration Against your common enemy JOIN NOW!" They looked towards the source to see England with his eyes closed in concentration and a gigantic magic circle began to form. It was gigantic, Kaito couldn't even see the end of it. "EN- ARTHUR, WHAT THE HELL?" France and America began screaming. China, Russia, Japan, Germany and Italy also began to yell. Kaito narrowed his eyes. 'I knew it… That witch did something to Kirkland-san.' Before he could do anything, Kaito's body began to feel light, and he started to feel dizzy. He felt his consciousness slipping away. 'What the hell…?' And then everything was dark. ))))))))))))))))))))) Conan had been chasing Heiji as Ai watched highly amused and Ran and Kazuha chattered when they heard chanting. They whipped around to see a beautiful teenage girl with magenta hair. "Create a bond, create a bond Fusing the soul together Forces to heaven and hell meet, to enlist Bring down the evil they face the same Collaboration, collaboration Against your common enemy JOIN NOW!" A glittering magic circle was began to form. It must have been huge, as Conan couldn't even see how big it actually was. "Who the hell are you?" Heiji yelled. Conan was about to move, but suddenly his body felt light as air. His vision began to blur until everything became black. ...Yeah. It sucks. :V Oh well. Again, I apologize if they're out of character... Japan seemed to be. I think I made him apologize to much. *sigh* Oh, and I came up with that chant. :V Sorry, I was lacking imagination... And I didn't have the others say their last names for reasons. If you can figure out why, I'll give you a cookie~~~! Eh, and with Akako and England... I just HAD to put that in their. XD They're both my favorite characters in their anime/manga respectively. But I do also LOVE America and Russia... Anyways, they're both magic users! XD So I had to use that to my advantage. And if anyone can figure out what this spell does EXACTLY, I'll give you a cookie~~~! Well, this was probably the longest chapter I've ever wrote for anything... I'm amazed. I hope you enjoyed! Please tell me what you thought! Thanks!

This topic is posted 9 years ago, but I just joined this forum recently. I saw this and was interested in it, so it's okay if I only give reply now, right? Anyway, this is my reply. In general, Ran is a likeable character. She's kind, caring, trusting, loyal, patient, and skilled in karate. She has flaws like being easily afraid of ghosts and monsters tales, a crybaby, and believing in superstitious things despite being a detective's daughter (fortune-telling for example, which is just plain stupid to me), but those flaws can be ignored easily when she has such positive traits in her. If there's someone like her in real life, I think I don't mind befriending her to some degree. I only need to make sure her negative traits won't transmit to me. So in conclusion, I don't hate her, but that doesn't mean I like her so much either. Indeed she's nice in general, but as a reader, I can't bring myself to be interested in her character. Maybe it's because she lacks character development. Or maybe it's because she doesn't have anything special even though she's the heroine of DC. In any case, you can say she's just "okay" or a tolerable character to me. But if we talk about who should be with Shinichi, my answer definitely won't be Ran. I can't support ShinRan. In fact, I dislike this pairing a lot. Why? Because I just don't understand why a girl would date a boy who has been taking advantage of her again and again. Conan has been lying to Ran so many times, mainly for the sake of his identity. Yes, he keeps his identity from her to protect her, but that doesn't mean he can also manipulate her family and friends. He darts Kogoro so many times to solve cases and sometimes he uses Eri and Sonoko. He literally uses them to get closer to the organization and this might endanger their life. Even after he uses them like this, he still keeps the truth from them, endangering them even more. If he told them the truth, at least they will have a chance to prepare for the worst, but if they don't know anything, they can't prepare anything to save themselves when the danger finally comes. Not to mention it might destroy their confidence when finally they figure out the truth (particularly for Kogoro since it will affect his reputation greatly). For now, Ran still doesn't know the truth and since she's kind, loyal, and trusting, she always believes in everything Shinichi/Conan said (see? Shinichi is taking advantage of her good nature), but what if she finally knows the truth? Will she just forgive everything? Will she still want to date him? A normal, educated girl with healthy heart and mind may forgive, but trust and love are different matters. Why should she date a boy who has been taking advantage of her and her loved ones? Why should she date a boy who doesn't treat her parents well? Her parents are the ones who gave birth to her and raised her. They are people who have loved her even before she was born and will always love her unconditionally. They deserve her love more than anyone else. If this guy can't respect and treat them well, why should she love him? Why should she trust him when he has manipulated her and her family so many times and been putting them in danger without their consent? If Ran still wants to date Shinichi or even worse, marry him despite knowing what Shinichi has done to her and her family, I probably will have no more respect for her because her decision is very stupid. What if she never finds out the truth? I'll blame Shinichi for that. He's so shameless and despicable. He doesn't deserve Ran at all. Honestly speaking, the relationship between Shinichi and Ran has been wrong since the start of the series. This is truly lamentable. As for Ai, well, I like her. She may look cold on the surface, but actually she's a warm person inside. She's intelligent and dependable. Ran is kind-hearted, caring, patient, and loyal, but so is Ai. Her kindness and loyalty has been portrayed many times when she was with Conan and the Detective Boys. When they're faced with cases, Ai is often babysitting them (taking care of them, watching them so that they won't be exposed to danger) while Conan runs off to catch the culprit and solve the case. Ai always takes care of Professor Agasa's diet because she cares for his health. She always supports Conan even though sometimes she doesn't agree with his idea. She may question Conan's decision, reminding him the danger in his decision, but in the end she always respects his decision and supports him as much as she can. And she respects Ran for who she is. Sometimes she reminds Conan that Ran isn't weak, perhaps to remind him that Ran isn't a damsel in distress who always needs him to rescue her, or perhaps to remind him that he should cherish her more, or perhaps both. And I can say Ai is a patient and strong girl because despite having to grow up and work in the organization, he's still able to keep her kindness, he's still able to keep her sanity. She hates the organization, but she still patiently worked for them to protect her sister, the only family she had. Of course, Ai has flaws as well. She's hard to trust people, she's paranoid when faced with Black Organization's matters, and she has this sarcastic personality, but it can be ignored and tolerated easily because those flaws are there with a reason. She has those flaws because she grew up in the organization where people almost always harbour malice intention. Those flaws are there to protect her from their malignity. When you're surrounded with dangerous people, of course you can't trust people easily. If you're exposed to danger for a long time, it's only natural for you to be paranoid. This paranoia serves as a reminder for you so that you'll be cautious every time and will notice immediately when the danger is nearby. It can be useful when you're surrounded with danger, but it will become unnecessary, annoying, and troublesome when you're in a peaceful environment. And when you grow up in an environment where there are many people with sarcastic personality such as the members of Black Organization, it will be hard for you not to be sarcastic as well. But at least Ai never uses her sarcastic personality excessively, neither does she ever use it for bad intention. In conclusion, I like Ai more than Ran because she's likeable as a person and more interesting as a character. And I can accept if Conan ends up with Ai (even though I don't like Conan). They've been working together without having to manipulate each other. Their relationship isn't built on lies, but on trust and respect, and that's what makes their relationship looks more realistic and promising compared to ShinRan's. So yeah, for me, it's Shiho/Ai for Shinichi/Conan. But it will be better if Ai ends up with someone else who's better than Shinichi/Conan. Shinichi/Conan is a jerk, seriously. He shouldn't treat Ran and her family like that. This is a big and fatal flaw for a main protagonist like him.

I do not really have an OTP for this show, at least not yet. I'm rooting for ShinRan though since I am vapid and like the idea of childhood sweethearts even if it is overused I can understand why there are so many ConAi shippers though. I think it is easier to like Haibara because we know more about her personal life and she is a more tragic/complex character. Ran is... not the most interesting character and her main purpose is to serve as Conan's lady love. I do like Ran more than Haibara though, but that is mainly because I am not really into the kuudere type (or any dere for that matter). I do like it when Haibara shows her concern for Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, Conan and Genta though

Are you seriously trying to argue that a character shouldn't be killed off on the basis that their real-life counterpart wouldn't want it to happen? C'mon, man. I don't think people believe that. It's simply that when investing time into a story, folks tend to seek immersion - we read and watch fictional works because we want to relate to the characters and live out their adventures along side them. This is hard to do when the work itself lacks realism or authenticity. When characters are virtually invincible and any harm that might come to them is understood to be an arbitrary illusion for the sake of a spiel, the actions taken to both avoid and inflict said harm lose their meaning. If your characters continuously escape any and all threats posed to them, then said threats will eventually lose their power to captivate the audience, and once that happens, the story is robbed of its emotional impact. It doesn't matter how high the stakes are raised, because in the end, the hero always wins, and nothing of value is lost. That's why folks like tragedies - rather than present an emotional constant, tragedies offer characters whose survival/happiness is not guaranteed, and whose actions matter, which in turn means that the audience is invested in everything that happens. You're not just observing the plot, you're experiencing it. To say that an author lacks creativity for creating an actual story rather than a narrative stasis is delusional. Just to make this clear, you're degrading the work of the likes of Homer, Dante, Saavedra, Doyle, Harris - hell, just about any famous author. Claiming that tragedies are solely about destruction is contradicting the very nature of such works. Tragedies aren't just about death and decrepitude - they're about the creation of beauty, the sacrifice of the established, and the celebration of the flawed. Hamlet might have been a tragic story, but in the end it was an examination of the futility of vengeance and rage. The Odyssey might have told of a thousand deaths, but its purpose was the celebration of Odysseus' journey and the bonds that carried him through it all. You are oversimplifying and defiling one of mankind's greatest artistic achievements, and sloppily at that.

dumb? u mean stupid? she's smart compared with others except detectives and scientists. she's just a high school girl, not genius =0= btw if u mean dumb because she cannot figure Conan is Shinichi then i think that is Gosho's plan, i believe he is saving this for the right time, Ran will find the true when Gosho wants her too, now's not the time, it's not her fault. I think Gosho already has a plan about this and he wants this to be special.
