Situation
Conan, Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko came to visit a video game company called Shining Corp. Because the latter three want to learn about the "Seven Mysteries" of the hit game Gyadorin. Which will be revealed when the sequel of the game, Gyadorin Episode.2, releases next week. But Genta was suddenly in need to use the toilet, which make him (along with Ayumi and Mitsuhiko) rush into the employee-only area uninvited, causing the company's security guard to chase them.
Amist the commotion downstairs. Shining's president Nobukasu Michiba, was doing the final check on the sequel. But when inserting the disc, instead of a video game, a video recording is shown instead. It shows the president was talking with the game's writer, Shinji Kobayashi, who accused the president of stealing his idea without crediting him. When he leaves with the intention of telling the public about the situation, the president tried to stop him, eventually led to Kobayashi getting shot and killed.
After the video is over, a detective hired by Kobayashi reveal himself to the president and try to blackmail him. By giving him 200 million yen in exchange of the disc that contain the video. He warned the president that if anything happens to him, the master tape of the video will be sent to the public. Only for the president to attack and try to kill him.
Before the president can shoot him, Genta (who was just finished using the toilet) enter the president's room by chance. And came across the copy of Gyadorin Episode.2 that contain the video. Then, Ayumi and Mitsuhiko call him out, which cause him to fall down and open his bag. Dropping his belonging. In a rush, Ayumi and Mitsuhiko, who were picking up Genta's belonging back, end up inserting the copy of Gadlin Episode.2 into Genta's bag as well. Seeing the president, believing they're not welcomed by him, rushing out of the room. Causing the president to chase them as well.
As they were going downstairs to the reception room and going out of the building. Conan saw the president keeping a gun in his suit. Thinking that he's up to something, he hid a microphone into his suit by bumping into him. With that, he heard a conversation between the president and an unknown accomplice, refer as "B", about how if the content inside the disc got out, they're done for. And digging into Genta's location to catch him.
Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko take a stop at a park near Beika Train Station. While resting, Genta tried to reach his food in the bag, only to find the copy of Gyadorin Episode.2 instead. This make them realized why the company staffs were so furious and tried to catch them. Ayumi and Genta suggested returning the copy. As this mean Genta effectively commit a crime of theft. Genta agreed, but want to eat an Eel Bowl for dinner before returning.
Without the Detective Boys badge, (as those were sent for maintenance) Conan can only wait until Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko return and meeting him on the way. When they did, however. A car is following them, trying to crash into them all. They managed to dodge the car and flee away by bikes. But the president came out of the car, trying to shoot them.
Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko manages to returning to Shining's office. Placing the game back on where it was. But Genta, still want to know the secrets of the Seven Mysteries of Gadlin, decided to open and put the disc in a video game system. Just like that, they also learn the truth about the crime...
