3D movies
In 2005 and 2006, namely, the Masato Sato directional era for the anime, the production team decided to release two 3D movies in theatres; it was released again in 2009, but no DVD or other form of product was released.
Additional concept
All these 3D movies are premiered at the Suntory Cinema IMAX in Osaka Prefecture, aligning with the local event which happened at Tempozan, named "Tempozan 10 Days: Exciting Treasure Island". However, regarding the first 3D movie, it was later also aired at Shinagawa IMAX Cinema in 2005[1], in Gamagori of Aichi Prefecture in 2007[2], in Nagasaki Prefecture in 2008[3]. Both 3D movies re-aired in 2009 across cinemas in Japan.
Owing to the fact that these "movies" are of short duration, details on the information about the staff are unknown. However, it can be speculated that the poster of the first 3D movie is drawn by Mari Tominaga, the character designer for anime back then.
