Case

Situation

Conan and the Detective Boys see Chiba at convenience store, so they decide to follow him to a newly constructed apartment where he is on stakeout with Takagi. They are looking for the person who robbed a jewelry store among the third floor residents of the apartment across the street.

Robbery (Past)

Location: A jewelry store in Haido

Time: Last week

Suspects: Kasumi Amano, Mitsuki Hanai, and Tsunahiko Kuwai

They are having stakeout on the residents after they caught a serial bulgar who has the rings from the jewelry store and testified that they stole it from third floor rooms of the apartment.

Culprit: Unnamed arrested robber

Later, in order to see if there is some jewelry left inside the rooms, the Detective Boys decide to throw their toys to the balcony of each room, and pretend to take the toy.

Tsunahiko Kuwai acts strangely when the phone rings because he keeps receiving calls from his editor. Meanwhile, Mitsuki Hanai always goes to the balcony after he comes home and looks around because his parrot has been missing for three days. At first, there is nothing suspicious about Kasumi's room, where she admits that she sells yoga mat with her business partner Go Koda. Unfortunately, Ayumi trips on the carpet and falls down. Some yoga mats also fall down along with some jewelry that was hidden inside. The robbers are Kasumi Amano and Go Koda. They then take Ayumi hostage.

Culprits: Go Koda and Kasumi Amano

Conan then disables Koda with his ball. Ayumi falls from the balcony but is saved by Chiba. Later, Hanai's parrot appears at balcony and says "I'm home".

• Stakeout 2 is the sequel of this episode.
• The stuffed animal Ayumi threw onto Amano's balcony is the same plush promoted in The Feuding Girls.
