Ryo Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 I forget Australia exists sometimes ...Still trying to figure out how and why that happens New Zealand for me.
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 ^^Forget they exist? How does that happen indeed? On my mind: Dinner. It's gonna be de-li-ci-ous.
Ryo Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 ^^Forget they exist? How does that happen indeed? On my mind: Dinner. It's gonna be de-li-ci-ous. Well, for me you barely hear about certain countries, whether that be good or bad news. I know they exist, but in a way, they don't cross your mind often since there's barely any noise from their area.
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 Right, I see. I would never forget Australia or New Zealand though. Australia -> Our crown-princess comes from that part of the world New Zealand is where Peter Jackson's from, as well as where they'd film most of LotR
Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 why does your family eat late
machine Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 ^^Forget they exist? How does that happen indeed? When I think of English speaking countries/areas I think "oh! the west--Canada, the US, and some parts of Europe" and then Australia's just over on the other side of the world so despite them also speaking English I just forget about them. And as Kudo12XX said, it's not really talked about. Where I live at least, like Canada and the UK are brought up somewhat often and also due to having to sit through multiple years of US history they're kinda hard to forget whereas Australia's just sorta there and out of the way. (and from what I hear also quite terrifying)
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 why does your family eat late 'Cause we're slow.. Haha. Especially when we're going to visit family, for a party or other such event. When I think of English speaking countries/areas I think "oh! the west--Canada, the US, and some parts of Europe" and then Australia's just over on the other side of the world so despite them also speaking English I just forget about them. (and from what I hear also quite terrifying) We're hearing a lot from the US here, and many of the US traditions are being celebrated here as well, with Halloween probably being the most popular at the moment. People have begun to celebrate Thanksgiving too. Some stores even did the Black Friday stuff. I don't like it, but ah well. As I told Kudo12XX, our crownprincess is originally from Australia, so we are probably more aware of it here.
Ryo Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 It's weird, cause I don't hear too much from Denmark either. I learned about it briefly in elementary school, but that's it.

I learned about it briefly in elementary school, but that's it. We're a small and humble people, so that's not surprising. Though we've recently assisted you Americans in various wars, don't know if you've heard of that.

Though we've recently assisted you Americans in various wars, don't know if you've heard of that. I figured on the "small and humble people" part. I am aware the relations between the two countries, and the troops you guys have had in Afghanistan and iraq.
Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 killing my people dont forget to say that
Ryo Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 killing my people dont forget to say that Where are you from again?
Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 im part arab, but i really dont care where im from USA has killed and invaded more countries then the germans
Ryo Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 I see. Yeah I'm one of the few ppl here in the US who know what the military have actually done. I don't condone it.
Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 its just unbelievable to me that folks dont stop and think when 9/11 happened i was like how come some folks from a cave desert have the ability to take planes from he US if he had WMD why didnt sadam used them, what does he have to loose there is a clip of Bush literally joking on the WMD have to be somewhere
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 I'm not exactly proud of Denmark's role in the wars either. I hear many classmates and and other people of my age talking about how big Denmark used to be, and how they'd wish it was that way again. Thing is we were only that big because of our warlike culture, and getting the lost land would mean to have one such culture again. I wouldn't like that. Anyway, I know they're just joking about it, but still...
Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 denmark wants grenland back
Ryo Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 The Bush Administration handled everything poorly. Similar to the fail attempt of "War on Drugs." Sometimes I wonder whether he even believed the whole WMD agenda. He deserved that shoe being thrown at him.
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 @Baltha: Yeah, haha. Heard we laid a claim on the North Pole too. Hahaha.
Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 when i was a kid i thought better times would come as i got older i realized the world is still the same as it always was, the diff is the nukes denmark has to be ready to fight russia for the north
