Because I don't know definition of that word even thought it's used in Finnish According to Wikipedia, it's derived from the Arabic phrase al-jebr which means "reunion of broken parts". In my own words, it's one of the simple and basic concepts in math involving variables to solve for unknown values. Personally hated that subject by the way, and pre-calc was no better.
