Yes, Akai still misses Akemi . If he can't get over it .It will be useless to ask if he will going to end up with Haibara. But if he can get over Akemi. he'll go to next person available who I say is Jodie

I think he serious about his relationship with Jodie. He took the time and effort to tell her they will break up. and "the person who love two woman at thee same time, that's not like me" It's tell us he love two woman but choose to date one. one of them is Akemi and other is Jodie so he love Jodie too

I think that it's more of a brother sister thing for Akai and Ai chan. (I am assuming Okiya is Akai when I made the statement) If anything happens between them, I think it would be Ai falling in love with him first. Akai will not be the one. Though in my opinion, the chances aren't very high.

...While I don't deny the pairing would be interesting, I can't say I'd like it. Akai...well...I really rather prefer him with Akemi, who seemed to bring out his gentle and warmer side. It's obvious he still misses her and is completely in love with her, so really, I'd prefer him stay that way. Haibara would feel it would be betrayal to her sister if she fell in love with Akai, and while it would create an interesting situation, I really don't care for it. not at all. Akai, as KKLT said, seems to be more of an older brother than anything, or perhaps a guardian.

I really like this pairing and I think they would be interesting together...He seems to care a lot for her(especially if we assume that Akai=Okiya).

I'm also a AkaixAkemi fan,but Akemi is dead,so I want Akai to be happy with someone else.I have a problem with AkaixJodie,I always have the feeling she loves him more than he loves her...well that's my feeling.

Anyway,I'm waiting for Gosho to reveal Shiho's past in the BO,maybe we will know if Shu and Shiho were very close or not(since he also used her to connection with BO members).

I don't think so.I think Ai need someone who has enough temperament to confront her when she isn't in the right way.She doesn't need a little dog who will obeys her all the time.

In the past I was a ConanxAi because they had a balanced relationship,nobody was leading the other.And I think Shuichi and Shiho could have the same kind of relationship.Akai and Shiho has many similarities(in their personalities) but they also have differncies,that why I think they could bring something to each other.

Yes. That's what I meant by standing up to her. He will NOT follow her every order or beck or whim. But he will be willing to do anything for her if she needs it. Haibara isn't dependent.

I don't think Conan and Ai have a balanced relationship. ^^' She'd always be challenging him and while it is healthy to challenge one another- they would do it all the time.

They may have similar personalities but there are other keys to a relationship that they lack. Similar personalities makes friends- not lovers. Not to mention dating the boy who ultimately is "responsible" for your sister's death is just kind of screwed up. XD

Because Akai didn't save Akemi. And Ai was already crying and blaming Conan for that before. But since Conan didn't had enough info about the situation, she forgave him I guess.

But Akai was in a different position. I think she would forgive him once he catches the BO, but I doubt she'll fall in love with him because of that. I think she'll always think of Akemi when she sees Akai D:

I'm not really for this pairing. Like, Akai was her sisters boyfriend, it just doesn't seem right for her sister to go after him. I would much rather see her with Mitsuhiko! if she was to return to her adult body permanently, I'm not totally against her being with Akai, So, I'm in-between with this pairing.

Ye would be awesome if it'd happen like you explained, then she could finally come to terms with her past.. I don't think it'll be Ai x Mitsuhiko, because like Conan told him she's not suitable for him just too much for him to handle. I think she just likes him as one of her true friends. In my mind Ai needs someone who's 'in her league' and Okiya/Akai is/are one of those (as I think even Conan has problems to reach this. What I mean is that hes more like a child) and Mitsuhiko x Ayumi would be a better couple..
